Running a very limited menu due to Covid. Staff pleasant but no decent selection on the menu. Effectively chilli, bolognese and two types of pizza. Pepperoni and Margarita. And then they ran out of Pepperoni!

Great food. Great service. What more do you need. Attentive staff but not in your face. I stayed at a competitors for a work overnighter a week ago, this beats it by a fair way.

The staff were friendly, attentive and very helpful. Breakfast was well set out and staff quickly refilled any shortages. Hot breakfasts were cooked to order and I wish more hotels/restaurants would do the same. To me there is nothing worse than fried eggs with a hard skin on the white because they have been kept warm under a warming lamp. One up to this Premier Inn!

Stopped here for a meal after a day's touring. Nicely decorated and good ambience. Staff polite, friendly and efficient. My partner had the slow cooked pork loin chop, it was delicious and really tender, I had Gammon steak which I thoroughly enjoyed, seems the chef took his (or her) eye off the fried egg though as it was solid. We will return on our next holiday.

Waited for 10 minutes, then lady poured a pint that reminded me of Whiteinch. Waited 40 minutes to be served with a gammon steak. Waited 10 minutes to pay my bill at the bar. Menu was not the best for the many 'white van' men that were staying in the hotel next door. On my second night a number of us went to Frank & Benny's where the menu was more suitable

I reviewed this restaurant recently in which I criticised it for being slow and food cold when it arrived. I visited again this week and had friends with me this time . This visit was worse than last time , different staff this time , it was 3ladies last time , this time it was 3 men/lads . The service was diabolical to say the least , and one member of staff at the bar was rude to say the least, BUT that may have been lost in translation as English was not his first language . It took 45 mins for our started to arrive AND that was after we had to ask what was happening , it wasn’t busy as we were the second table to sit as it was only 5.15, this continued into the main course , we had to ask the staff to clear the table and ask for our main course , again took an absolutely age , and my course was piping hot in parts and cold in others I.e. chips and veg cool pie piping hot. They walked about absolutely unaware that we had finished eating and again had to ask to clear the table , this continued into the dessert as well . Won’t be using this restaurant again if same staff there , would rather walk further into Inverness to eat , which is a pain as I use the hotel (which is great) regularly for business .

I ate there last night , the staff were pleasant and polite and it’s nice and clean . The speed of service was okay . I had spicy noodles with car grilled chicken breast . The noodles were microwaved to death gone to mush and blisteringly hot the ‘chicken breast’ was strange and seemed a lesser cut than breast and it seemed to have such a thin skin on it that I actually felt they had cooked it in its plastic covering ! , not sure I will, eat there again , but I will be using the premier Inn it’s part of .

Having stayed at the Premier Inn Millburn Road Inverness it seemed logical & easy to eat in their THYME restaurant, We had the house special burger on the Friday,so went back on the Saturday and decided to have fish and chips.....much to my disappointment and horror We were minced (small pieces of various different pieces of fish) frozen in batter which resembled something out the frozen aisle of a supermarket! What we were served was not even a real fish, let alone Haddock as would be reasonable to expect from a so called restaurant! We would at least had real fish if we had went into a 'Chip Shop' in Inverness and a fraction of the Thyme Restaurant price.....I can only advise anyone considering eating in a Thyme Restaurant is to avoid the fish and chips to avoid the disappointment of minced frozen fish! Also you cannot but help wonder based on the frozen minced fish, what else on the menu is something frozen and heated up before serving? The staff were excellent very curtious and please and could not do enough - The person in management somewhere is the person We hold accountable for this disappointing offer they try to call fish.

When I was here they didn't seem to provide anything different from your normal Brewers Fare, just a bit pricier. Service was very poor and I had to chase up my order twice. The reason given for the delay was that they were busy that night. Not good.

Not eaten here in ages...kinda overlooked until tonight...but gonna be back. By far, the nicest and most civilised of the Whitbread chain restaurants in Inverness. Service excellent...friendly and efficient. No complaints about food at all. Most enjoyable thanks.

Called in here on the off chance of getting a table for two as the town was very busy and most places fully booked. We were welcomed at the door and asked if we had a reservation, our prospects not looking good i thought. A few minutes later we were escorted to a nice widow table and given a menu, drinks ordered return to menu. Very good choice of food on the menu, waiter came back took order and brought food in about 10 minutes. The food was excellent and worth every penny as was the sweet course, and not forgetting the cappuccino to round it off.

I ate two breakfasts and two lunches in this restaurant during my stay. The standard of catering and cleanliness was notably higher than the average restaurants at Premier Inns even though the menus were fairly typical of the usual fare. It was noticeable what a difference a competent chef can make. The ambience too was better with no intrusive muzak , adequate lighting, and no noisy guests.

Absolutely fantastic throughout. Would recommend booking beforehand though. We were seen to quickly, food was here within minutes and it was all to die for! Would definitely recommend the 8oz Rump Steak, obviously well sourced and was all executed wonderfully. Extremely attentive and helpful staff too. Can't wait to come back

Visited for breakfast and dinner while staying at the premier Inn. Value on meal deal was fantastic. Well presented and we'll cooked food served by friendly staff both at dinner and breakfast. Breakfast has a good selection of continental breakfast to choose from.and a very nice hot breakfast was brought to the table. Staff went over and above thier job advising on local places of interest and taking time to speak with our granddaughter.

I've eaten here many many times, although it's not Michelin star quality, it is good value for money. The fully loaded pizza is a must. The mashed potatoes where a little on the heavy stodgy side that I had with my steak and kidney pudding, but nothing worth getting upset about. Breakfast spot on as always and super fast, but please for the love of god, get a new toaster

The staff at Thyme were exceptional, sadly the food didn't match, we ate here twice and couldn't put ourselves through a third night. The steak was poorly cooked and the meat wasn't great quality, the salmon was greasy, items on the sharer platter over cooked, the only thing that was tasty was the Mac & Cheese. Breakfast was good as standard but thats a hard one for anyone to get wrong, expected better....

As we were staying at the attached Premier Inn, we used the restaurant several times for dinner and daily for breakfast. The staff were courteous, polite and nothing was too much trouble. One of the staff (Gillian) offered exceptional service every time we came into contact with her. She made us feel welcome and made a fuss of our excitable ten year old. We were not rushed in the slightest and even when we arrived late on the first night, Gillian found a table for us to rest our bones and have a good meal. The food was of good quality and well priced. We will be visiting again.

Couldn't fault the dinner menu, steak done to perfection, Eton mess dessert yummy and price included glass of house white or red.Staff delightful, made sure baby chair was cleaned, set it at table of our choice and asked if there was anything we needed, baby-food heated or boiled water for his bottle.

Visited this restaurant while staying a short walk away at Jurys Inn. Very pleasantly surprised in all respects at our experience. The staff were friendly and very efficient and the food was well prepared and presented. Coupled with reasonable prices and the general character of the restaurant I would highly recommend this to anyone requiring a good and reasonably priced meal. In short a gem compared to many of the restaurants attached to budget hotels.

In the past we have been very critical of the service in other restaurants connected to Premier Inns so it was a very pleasant surprise to be in a location were the staff seemed interested in making you welcome and serving you well during your meal. Ate whilst staying at Premier Inn next door. We were met by a very pleasant waitress who showed us to a quiet table. We didn't want a huge meal as we had been at a function earlier with a buffet. We had the sharing platter from starter menu and it was excellent, hot and tasty, chicken wings, kebabs prawns, potato wedges etc with dipping sauces. Just right for us. Menu did look to be comprehensive though and had a good wine list.

We visited a couple of weeks ago as we have on several previous occasions. It always amuses me when we are asked if we have a reservation as it's rarely very busy when we go. On the one occasion it was busy a flight had been cancelled and the airline had sent all passenger to the adjoining hotel. On this occasion we entered the restaurant at 6.30pm and did not receive our food (a hotdog, a burger & a pizza) until 7.50pm. I was almost at the point of walking out. When our food finally arrived my daughter's hotdog was on a roll so hard it shattered when she tried to eat it. I requested a fresh roll only to be brought another which was freshly warmed and soon hardened. This was after spending some time with the waitress going through the children's menu to check if they could cater for my daughter's food allergy. Having dealt with the allergy for 7 years just give the parent the menu we can spot an allergen at a glance.I'm unsure if I will return to this restaurant as Inverness has so many options available, which is a shame as on previous occasions although the food can take some time it has always been reasonable and well cooked.
