No idea why but every time I call in for a pint or two, the next day I loose about a stone due to an upset stomach. That's just the beer I've not had any food but three visits and three following days spent very close to the water closet. Apart from that nice place.

Llevé a mi pareja al árbol doble para un almuerzo nocturno y no volveré. Al hacer la reserva hice una petición especial para una mesa agradable con una buena vista ya que esta era una ocasión muy especial. Cuando llegamos preguntamos qué mesa nos gustaría de 3 malas opciones. Luego nos sentamos en una zona oscura que el gerente amablemente les entregó. Después de explicar el menú y decir que regresaría para hacernos saber la bebida especial y traernos nuestro té helado de isla larga, otro miembro del personal vino y volvió a bajar las luces, así que estábamos en la oscuridad hasta que le pedimos a otro miembro del personal que los volviera a subir. Nuestros largos tés de hielo de la isla fueron traídos a nosotros, pero era esencialmente solo un vaso de coca ya que no podíamos saborear alcohol allí. Hicimos nuestro pedido y pedimos nuevas bebidas. Los siguientes tés helados de isla larga eran mejores, pero todavía no muy bien. El entrante, que se describió como una tabla antipasti, llegó pero solo era queso envasado en rodajas y salami con mini rollos casi cocidos. Estos fueron traídos pero no nos dieron ningún plato o cubierto hasta que tuvimos que preguntar. Cuando llegaron los platos nos preguntaron si queríamos otra bebida así que pensamos que no podíamos equivocarnos con prosecco. Nos equivocamos. El prosecco era plano y viejo. Fue en ese momento que decidimos que esto era suficiente y le dijimos al gerente que nos íbamos a ir. No recomendaría.

I only came to eat, hence why I have not marked rooms. I am an extremely picky eater yet they were tolerant of that and helped pick something I would eat. They were very kind and welcoming, and attended immediately if we needed assistance. I would truly recommend a visit.

We have been a fan for many years. The food is always very very nice, simple bistro style menu lovely. It always feels a little rushed that they want the table or want to close. Tonight we were told there was no cheese board??

Sunday dinner very poor food Luke warm certainly the beef roast not worth £20 for 3 small strips of meat and soggy cabbage Won't be visiting again anytime soon

To be honest we've been here many times before and have enjoyed it. This time I just had to say something... We ordered 2 nachos, 2 cokes and an espresso. We sat at our table waiting with the cokes. An espresso arrived about 15 minutes later with an apology that the bar tender had forgotten. Nearly an hour later I asked how the nachos were doing. I was informed that I hadn't ordered any. So we were waiting for nothing. I then reordered the 2 nachos and in less than 10 minutes '1' plate of nachos arrived. I then couldn't be bothered to ask for another because this was too much. We are currently sharing this small serving and will return but not immediately as we used to.

The food was really good but so expensive. A fillet (which was brilliant) plus veg and potatoes at nearly £50 is a ridiculous price to pay. Won’t be eating there again at these silly prices. They really do need a price review if they wish to keep the restaurant open in the near future!

Booked afternoon tea here for myself and over 20 guests for my milestone birthday having read a review that rated this venue as providing a good experience, however, I did not receive the same treatment which ruined my birthday event. Waitress Olivia advised that my entire birthday party was only allowed the vegetarian option of food (sandwiches) even though I myself am not vegetarian and neither were all my friends/family/guests. This vegetarian option turned out to be very basic consisting of a few stale sandwiches and fairy cakes. When these sandwiches arrived, there was no finesse or presentation - the whole thing was very slap dash – looked rushed. In addition to which the teas and coffees were brought out a good 15 minutes prior to the arrival of the stale sandwiches so all hot drinks were cold by the time the basic vegetarian option on sandwiches arrived. There was no pastries. This was the worst afternoon tea I have ever experienced, I felt totally humiliated in front of my guests and it totally ruined my birthday event. But hey ho, I was advised there was a wedding reception taking place at the same time and the kitchen were busy with the wedding parties' event which the hotel clearly prioritised over my birthday party, and this showed in volumes! I most certainly would never recommend.

I visited Fletcher’s for lunch with family at the weekend. The setting is so perfect and there’s so much to love. However, the food is very average, the menu hasn’t really changed for years (why can’t there be more imaginative salads offered?? The ones on the menu have literally been the same ever since they opened, it seems) and the service - although there are some really friendly and helpful people - was spoiled by the rudeness of the manager and an even poorer response from the team when I complained. I’ve honestly given up on the place. Based on the price of the mediocre food and the 5* experience they promise to deliver, but very rarely do, each time we’re disappointed. I really wouldn’t recommend. Such a pity, I wish they’d focus on getting the service right and improve the range and quality of food.

I was so impressed with this Nando’s and their staff. When I told them I was gluten free without any fuss the manager took my order. And then explained to me how exactly they would make it safe and gluten free. Very appreciate of not making it feel like it’s a problem or having to sign a legal waiver like in some restaurant chains.

Lovely country pub friendly staff main menu a little pricy but a number of items available at two for £20. The steak pie was delicious nice chunks of meat,Fish and chips cooked to perfection
