SkyLounge at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Leeds City Centre in Leeds

Went here for afternoon tea for a friend birthday. Restaurant is lovely spacious and nice views over the city. Has an outdoor balcony which would be lovely in the summer to sit out on. Afternoon tea was lovely, selection of sandwiches cakes and scones the only down side was she tea came just luke warm and also ages after the food was delivered. We then changed and had coffee which was lovely. There was no problem to box up any uneaten cakes to take away which was great.

Food was delicious. We had bottomless brunch. We never had to ask for a drink the waitress always came to ask us and even came 10 minutes before end to say the next drink would be the last. Lovely venue. No loud music so we could all talk and hear each other. Would definitely recommend. Well done and Thankyou

We visited the Sky Lounge on the first night of our stay in Doubletree by Hilton. Although we only planned to visit Sky Lounge once, we ended up coming back every night for the rest of our stay because of the excellent service provided by Andres, Greg and Jefferson. They were friendly, hospitable, charismatic and took their time to accomodate us. Even on busier nights, they were attentive and served us promptly with fabulous quality drinks. Thank you Andres, Greg and Jefferson - you all made our first visit in Leeds such an unforgettable experience.

We often visit the sky lounge and usually enjoy a couple of drinks. I just couldn’t believe the price of a can of Kirkstall Beer. Not even a full pint, £7.50. Not that it’s comparable, but I buy 8 for £10 from my shop. My wife had a porn star martini, which was £12.50 and the bill came to £22. I’m assuming we had a 10% surcharge for the drinks to be ordered and delivered to us outside. Wasn’t told this, or offered a receipt so only assuming. We just had the one drink this time round.

Quiet lunch with a friend. Good location and food but what stood out was the great service. Friendly and attentive and worthy of a 5 star review.

Lovely setting. Great atmosphere. However poor service spoiled the evening. Waited 30 minutes at our table to finally be asked what food and drink we would like to order. I ordered the fish and chips. However the chips were lathered in salt. The fish was certainly not value for money. Very small. More like a child's portion. After our food we had to wait over 30 minutes before I had to go grab a staff member to clear our table and ask for the bill. There was certainly enough staff to attend the few customers. However they were busy gabbing.

Nicole and Rach were exceptional. I awesome venue made even better by great people. The Hilton team needs to be proud of what they have with the people looking after us.

This afternoon tea was a gift as part of a voucher for me and my other half. We happened to be in Leeds to watch a concert, and decided it would be the best time to go use the voucher we had been given. I found it quite hard to book the voucher, but the lovely people at the Sky Lounge were able to help me book it a few months in advance, so I was on a pretty high note entering. When we arrived however, things seemed to go a bit south from here. A gentlemen, dressed rather well, in his 30’s greeted us with what I can only describe as a scowl, and a very rude edge to his voice. It can be noted that my partner and I are young, and we have experienced such things like this before. However, the rude manner in which the gentlemen said “have you got a booking?” while glancing us up and down really upset me. When I said yes, he found our booking, and walked off without saying anything to get another member of staff. This lady was fantastic to us. She was kind and patient as she explained what our voucher meant we could have, and kindly brought us our drinks and food. The bar staff weren’t so pleased with us however, and I did hear them talking about us quite loudly, with one sentence that stuck with me being “they’re here for a cheap meal at a nice place, scruffs”. Frankly this has spoiled the experience, and the only thing that’s rescued even 3 stars was how lovely the waitress was, and how good the food was too. I don’t think I’ll be returning here, however I can partially recommend it due to the food.

No shortage of staff like most places, staff very friendly and attentive. Cocktails really nice, food was nice but nothing outstanding but saying that we will return and would recommend a visit.

We had Afternoon tea experienced and it was great! The place is lovely over looking Leeds City. The food was nice and hot drinks of any choice and you can ask more than one for hot drinks. We love the ambience. It worth value of money. The staff were nice and helpful. We will definitely be coming back and we will recommend it to family and friends.

Simply amazing - we visit sky lounge often and the staff are what makes this place special. Nicole in particular is just a great server and always looks after us, making every visit special and she deserves the world. Brilliant cocktails, food, and service always.

A gorgeous bar which I have been going to for six years! Service is amazing, drinks get better and better and the late night DJ makes it a force to be reckoned with! Another fabulous Saturday night in Leeds!

This lounge is based at the top of the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel., and the visit was a second here for an Afternoon Tea. Welcome was very friendly, and after being shown to our table we were advised that we could sit outside in the sunshine until our tea was served. When served, the food, cocktails and tea/coffee were all excellent, as was the service from Rachael. The views from the 13th Floor, over Leeds are great and the ambiance is very pleasant. As mentioned in another review, the music could be a little quieter. Overall an excellent experience.

Visited for the weekend. I had prawns and chorizo to start flat bread soggy and chorizo not cooked, my partner had onion rings which were fine. We both had fish and chips, batter was thick and overcooked and the fish was grey.. not good. The ambience in the bar was lovely and the staff were great.

Food was good but service was awful. Place wasn’t busy and the servers didn’t want anything to do with us. It took 15 minutes to receive our drinks and the staff weren’t overly pleasant

I had a reservation that no one recognised? I had confirmed my table only the day before. I was told I could have a table but I had only one hour as they were closing shortly for a private booking. Throughout the meal and as I visited the ladies room I kept being warned that they were closing in one hour, this was most irritating as I had booked my table. Will not be going back

Staff were lovely and very attentive. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and they surprised us with a free glass of Prosecco which was a very thoughtful gesture. The food was lovely and good value. The location was good. Would definitely recommend a visit here

Food was amazing as usual. Service really let it down this visit. There was not one thing we didn’t have to ask for. Had to ask for kids menu, sat for about 15 minutes with no one coming over, had to ask for them to take our order, baring in mind there was multiple staff stood around. Kids meal meant to come with tortilla chips that never came, they ordered ice cream each for dessert and it came in the same bowl? Not ideal for a 2 year old and a 7 year old, so ended up putting one on a plate. There was nothing major wrong, just very reactive staff rather than proactive. When 10% of the bill is service charge you expect at least average service

My first beer was flat but changed without question. The chicken came with a few carrots and 1 slice of sweet potato, the chicken was also raw we were offered an alternative meal or to take the cost off the bill. The burger was good, pizza was average at best. The food was disappointing for a Hilton. However the waiting staff we very polite and professional throughout.

Bottomless brunch was really good. Our server Ivan was great, kept us topped up with drinks. Definitely recommend.

I found the food was fairly underwhelming for the price. Chicken was dry. We also found the service quite slow considering it wasn’t busy.

Very good but as a Coeliac a little disappointed. There nothing GF as a starter, None of the salads were GF and the Ice cream wasn’t marked GF but the GF Sticky Toffee Pudding came with Ice Cream

We had a lovely meal and a nice time but it’s not really a restaurant and more of the downstairs bar of a hotel that serves food. If you want to try some stunning food then defo go, but it’s not the place for a birthday meal etc

Impressed with how gorgeous the food was and the restaurant itself. I booked a pod and had a speaker in there played my own music. Amazingly food and staff will definitely go back.

Bill with service charge was taken when ordering and after ordering we did not get any service (I.e asking how food was etc when we needed to get additional condiments) no staff around when seated outside

Made a reservation and had to move tables 3 times as the tables weren’t suitable to have food and be with a guide dog. Quite a lot of staff on and still took a long time to get served for drinks in the bar area for us and other customers. We noticed waiting staff just standing at the bar or on the walls of the restaurant instead of checking in. It was a very nice place with inside and outside seating. Good selection of Vegan food but could have more gluten free options as it’s a big hotel in Leeds. Could upgrade to vegan cheese for the plant based burger. Everyone was very nice

Disgusted that the price of the food on the menu didn't include 20% VAT. So shocked when the bill came with unexpected tax and service charge. The burger really wasn't with the price I had to pay.

Second visit to the Lock Bar for the bottomless burger experience .The sun shone for us and we were served by an amazing young lady called Soph.She was excellent in every way and so professional and treated us in such a lovely manner.Thankyou for such a lovely afternoon for my friends retirement from the NHS it was truly afantastic afternoon

Enjoyed a very well cooked and presented lunch time meal yesterday at the Lock. Excellent waiter service and food was delicious. A nice open spaced restaurant with great views of the Leeds canal and outside seating. Highly recommended.

Disappointed was our overall opinion. The staff and wine were both good but let down by the food. We had 3 malted grain sandwiches. Small amount of filling in all of them. 2 were tuna crunch the crunch consisted of sliced cucumber the 3rd was ham which wasn't very thick. All the sandwiches seemed to have been left out and were on the verge of going curly. The plates were filled out with crisps - a little side salad would have been nice. We shared a portion of fries which were obviously cooked from frozen and some had black bits in them. Definitely wouldn't recommend eating here

Food was lovely if a little expensive for what it was. Good, attentive service and pleasant ambience overlooking the water. 10% added service charge was an unwelcome surprise and although I paid it as I understand times are hard for the hospitality industry, it made for a very expensive lunch out for the three of us.

Lovely place for a treat! Main menu is expensive (£18 for burger and chips) However a great selection of food and drinks. Restaurant was very quiet but for some reason the staff seated everyone in tables next to each other, would have been nice to be spaced out. Views are amazing, the hotel is next to the canal. Staff were friendly, but we struggled sometimes to get their attention. Overall, a lovely afternoon spent with my Mum. Would recommend.

Very attentive staff. Very welcoming and friendly. Quick service. Gorgeous decor but somehow managed to feel cold and open. Table was too small small for 4 people. But overall very good with lovely views of the water.

Overall food very good but asked for my steak well done and it came medium and was very pink so I had to return it. A new one arrived fairly quickly but by the time it arrived my husband had finished his meal so I had to eat alone which spoilt the overall experience a bit. My husband's curry was perfect for him.

The worst service I have ever experienced. They have a policy as part of the bottomless where they do not serve you until your whole party has finished their drinks. Doesn’t make any sense and isn’t fair on customers who just want to have a few drinks. I had to ask every time for another drink from the lady who was running front of house because our waitress was nowhere to be seen. They extended the bottomless to be two hours as they realised the service was bad, but sadly it continued to be awful.

Made the booking on line it asked if it was a special occasion I put down it was our anniversary when we arrived the restaurant was empty bearing in mind, it was on Monday lunchtime around 1.30 so we had the restaurant to ourselves, but no one congratulated us on our anniversary or even mention it so that was quite disappointing but will say the food was very good and maybe we will call again but not to celebrate on the next anniversary lol

The dining area outside was beautiful and warm under the heaters. Staff were pleasant and helpful and we got free glass of Prosecco because it was my birthday.

Such a beautiful spot. Sat outside beside the water, food was served quickly and was so so tasty! Headed upstairs to the Sky Lounge after dinner for a hot drink with panoramic views of the city, they even give you a blanket. Perfect, would highly recommend. Will be back!

Warm welcome, lovely light bright room. Served our drinks quickly, little slower taking food order. Food was very good, huge portion of fish n chips. Empty plates not cleared away for half an hour which was slightly irritating. Overall really good.

A perfect place to enjoy a lunchtime drink with or without food. Four of us met up to have a midweek lunch, every single one of us were impressed by the ambience, the staff and of course the food! We will be back and soon hopefully!

I have just been tonight with my girlfriend for her birthday. We went with the bottomless burgers option; and they treated us like royalty. On my request I said please make her feel special, and they certainly did that with a free extra drink and pudding, whilst also extending our bottomless brunch time! I will absolutely be going back again, and will enjoy their brilliant food and hospitality once more!

Booked an inside table but with weather being beautiful we were hoping to change to an outside seating. When we arrived there was already a table reserved for us outside…perfect !! Could not fault the service/food or drinks. Whole party was suitably impressed, would not hesitate to return again.

Absolutely fantastic. Food was delicious. Service was wonderful. Ambience by the canal was lovely. The place was clean and staff were attentive and friendly. There was a good choice of food & plenty to eat. It was for my daughter’s graduation and it’s just a shame we won’t be in the area to go again as I’m sure it would have become a firm favourite. Very impressed and glad we chose to go there.

Excellent food cooked by wonderful chefs. Front of house staff are incredibly friendly and efficient. The sirloin, salads and salmon were all perfect, and the drinks cheaper than many city centre bars. Will definitely go again.
