Not a great experience, the food was average! No atmosphere, the waitress was not very friendly or personable. Everything felt like a chore. Tapas Prawns were ok, salad, little gem and tomatoes with a few sunflower seeds, uninspiring and lacking taste. Albondigas (meatballs). Raw in the middle, I told the guy behind the bar, he just told the waitress to get the kitchen to get another, no apology or explanation! Second portion arrived, raw in the middle again. I returned them to the guy, he was nonplussed and said did I want something else. I did not. I would say don’t bother and I will not be returning or recommending.

Very good food, drinks ok but a bit more choice would be good. Service good but we were the only one's there for most of the time. I would go again tho

All you can wat Tapas. Menu was pretty solid. Few variables, but heavy on fried items. Overall really quite good. Cheesecake was rubbish though, smooth baked of the Soanish variety but not enough cheesecakeyness. Soft drinks were a bit pricey.

A Wednesday evening trip to La Casita didn’t disappoint. It’d been recommended to us and now we are really happy to recommend it to others. The tapas is delicious!

We dined at this charming little restaurant. The tapas theme works well, the food was delicious and the staff were all very friendly and polite. We will certainly look at dining at La Casita on our next stay in Boston Spa.

Bottomless brunch (1.5 hrs of unlimited drinks), the choice of 3 dishes, cava/sangria or beer for £29.95. One of our party wasn’t drinking and was recommended the main menu as would be cheaper (it didn’t end up being though!). Between the other 4 of us we pretty much had one of every dish on the special menu. Can’t complain about the food, it was delicious & the mushroom croquettes were a surprisingly tasty dish along with prawns, calamari and meatballs to name a few!! The only thing I would say is when we arrived from the outside it looked closed, the downstairs was all cordoned off so we sat upstairs however we were the only table in for the majority of the afternoon! Which was a shame for the restaurant but good for us! Would definitely visit again.

Absolutely fabulous little gem of a tapas restaurant. Me & my wife have been a number of times and has always been amazing food. Seasonally changing menus provide a great variety of choice, meat, fish and veg options which are full of flavour. A small public carpark over the road make it easily accessible by car.

We went this week for dinner and as always the food was delicious. The staff were great too. We did think generally that the restaurant is looking tired. The chairs were wobbly and very stained. The drinks menus were grubby and could do with being replaced. It was quite expensive but as with everything else we understand the cost of goods and energy have an impact on businesses. With so many other choices of restaurants in Boston Spa, a bit of an update (in my opinion) would help continued customer support.

Lovely small restaurant, friendly staff and nice food. Really good value too. All you can eat on the last Sunday in the month is good, but note the menu can differ each month.

We visited this restaurant about a year ago & the food was good but the restaurant itself was very shabby & staff were poor. We decided however to give it another chance based on the food. Unfortunately our booking hadn’t gone through as the payment on the card hadn’t worked so instead of a call or e mail they just told us it was cancelled on our arrival! No apology or can we rebook you or would you like to come back later just pure rudeness. 3 girls who greeted us with their backs to us were so rude, unhelpful & generally clueless went to get a gentleman who we thought may try to help resolve the matter. Instead he was also rude & very intimidating manner. I was in shock he basically told us to leave! The staff are hugely letting it down from what I can see. The restaurant again looked even more shabby than I’d remembered. It needs a refurbishment, the staircase doesn’t even have proper flooring & the floor boards down stairs were loose which I tripped on on the way out. The entrance is like going into a run down student flat it’s very uninviting. The whole experience both occasions was bad such a disappoint I would bother again.

A really lovely little restaurant with excellent variations of tapas and great drinks. The food came out quickly and was amazing, the goats cheese bon bons and calamari particularly.

My wife and I visited for lunch. It amazed me we were the only diners but fully booked in evening. The 3 tapas dishes for £16.95 is excellent value. We chose 3 tapas dishes each .All delicious and so generous we couldnt even finish them all. The gent in charge was an absolute delight..Scott. explained dishes and their style etc with great thoroughness. A great treat even at full price. Wonderful. Delicious food. Ordered 27 dishes, all delivered in a timely manner. Only criticism is the toilet- too small and there’s only 1 for the entire restaurant.

We really enjoyed a wide range of tapas with another couple. The wine was excellent too. Highly recommended!

Good service on a busy night.seven of us for early dinner on New Year’s Eve. We had a variety of tapas dishes which were all ok with good vegetable options. Prices are reasonable. Would have rated it higher but for the fact that nothing on the menu was unusual or innovative and none of the standard tapas dishes stood out as better than anywhere else. So good service and good value but room for improvement. Good for large groups.

Outstanding tonight 23rd nov. The food was exceptional and the service was amazing. We didn’t get his name but the waiter was a real compliment to the place. We will return!

We've been here about 7/8 times now over the past couple of years, and also visited with friends. Literally loved it, and raved about it. However, on our last visit, we were very disappointed. It was a Saturday night and empty, so the signs should have been there. We ordered dishes we have ordered before, and loved before, but this time, nothing near as nice. The chorizo (which we usually love) was soggy and tasted poor (usually crispy and good quality), and all the rest of the food seemed a bit cold. Being too polite, we just let it go, much to my regret the next day as I really wish we had complained. We won't be going again!

Excellent food but not cheap & wine expensive

Went 02-Sep-2022. Food is great (exception meatballs), but the portions are far too small what makes the restaurant expensive. Price per head is the 30gbp that seems to be the tapas fee in UK (rip off)

This used to be such an excellent little gem in the village. Such a shame it's not up to it's former standard. Food was over salted, and one of the dishes was stone cold in the middle. Orders were confused with other tables (we had to reconfirm our order partway through), and everything generally seemed chaotic. The blame seemed to be placed at the feet of the chef for being new, but I thought that was a little unfair given the service was also lacking. Lots of people locally stating it's up for sale. I only hope if it remains a tapas bar that any new owners can bring it up to it's former glory!

Terribly disappointed with our food. The beans and peas were all over cooked and squishy. Most of the food we ordered tasted like reheated versions. None of it was fresh tasting. The onion purée looked so unpalatable. The one thing that was good was the mushroom. I am not sure if this day was an exception but for nearly 7 pound a dish it’s really disappointing.

What an amazing find! We were attending a concert at Harewood House and this was a perfect place to eat at first. Amazing hideaway in a lovely little town, the staff were so friendly and the food amazing! Highly recommended - thank you!

Lovely tapas food, great menu, lots of choice.

The food is pretty good but the drinks were awful. Sweet and sickly sangria that was nothing like any sangria I have ever tasted. The cava was sweet and sickly too. How difficult is it for a tapas restaurant to serve dry cava? Its not expensive. The lady serving us was lovely, smiley and funny. The guy on the front desk / bar / manager was grump and lacked customer care skills.

Always been a fan of this place - good food and friendly service. But it’s starting to look tired and a bit grubby - dirty toilets and grimy decor. Needs investment to keep up with what else is happening in the area. Also feels like prices have increased and portions decreased. £7 for x5 prawns feels a little steep for the suburbs

Our first time at the Boston Spa restaurant, but not our first time at La Casita. Always 1st class food and 1st class service. We were gutted to see our usual Leeds restaurant had closed but the Boston Spa one picks up where Leeds left off. We'll definitely be back again very soon. We did indeed return again, and once again we weren't let down. If I could give 6 stars I would. See you again soon.

We went here on friends recommendation for my other half's 50th birthday dinner. The food was gorgeous, the service friendly and efficient and the price really reasonable. First time there but won't be the last

Went last Sunday in Jan for the 'All you can eat' menu they do once a month. Wasn't expecting much at £25 a head for unlimited dishes but were delighted with the quality and choice of food. We chose chicken, garlic prawns, haddock goujons, meatballs, chorizo in red wine, meat croquettes, cheese croquettes and paprika fries (there were other options including veggie) and all were beautifully cooked and delicious. Nearly didn't have room for the fabulous churros and chocolate dipping sauce. The staff were friendly. Had to wait a while for some dishes when the kitchen got behind but they apologised profusely and in compensation gave us each an extra free dish, what more can you ask! We've eaten tapas all over UK and this was some of the best ever. Highly recommended.

Nice place and very nice staff but food was very poor. Most of the dishes were severely over salted compared to any restaurant I have ever been in. It’s a shame as the menu is interesting.

I am spanish and went to this restaurant last night and the food was awful, even I can eat anything I was sick at the end of the night, if you really like Spanish cuisine you must avoid this restaurant!

Dined at 6pm, very wobbly table, we had to sort this ourselves, might seem trivial but it took a lot of sorting. Staff general chitchatting at bar area as if it was their evening out/social event, hard to get attention for drinks. Food was good...

We came across this hidden gem whilst on a lunch stop travelling to Manchester. We had 6 beautiful dishes which is certainly enough for 2 people. We could not fault them and will definitely return if in the area. The service was also excellent too....

First time here and probably not the last. Lovely food sat outside in the rear courtyard. Service was excellent. Needed to book but recommended.

Excellent food as we have come to expect from La Casita. Our first time visiting the restaurant in Boston Spa because we usually frequent the Leeds branch which unfortunately had to close after lockdown. Be aware that there are currently quite a few steps to reach the first floor restaurant area as the downstairs is not currently in use.

Nice little restaurant serving up some great little dishes and cocktails and gins, the outside has been smarten up and is nice to go and have a few drinks in.

Reservamos para las 4 pm del domingo y fue fantástico, la selección de todo lo que puedes comer era más pequeña que el menú habitual, sin embargo, aún más que suficiente para llenarte y diferentes tipos de comida para probar (pescado, carne, verduras) que perdí fue gambas al ajillo (que no estaban en el menú), que creo que es un básico de tapas pero toda la comida era increíble que estaba bien. Creo que también cambian las opciones cada mes.No pude comer chocolate, así que me dieron un budín que no estaba en la lista sin ningún problema.El servicio fue excelente y todo el personal es muy servicial y acogedor.Volveremos el mes que viene!Gracias : )

I've been wanting to come here ever since I heard it opened, as I'm a huge fan of tapas style of eating. So eventually, a group of us went for our friend's birthday. Absolutely loved my first visit to this lovely, quaint restaurant. Visited with friends, everything about it excellent. The food is amazing, the staff are all very attentive especially our waitress Leanne who couldn’t do enough for us. The atmosphere was great , the restaurant decor is lovely. I couldn’t fault any of it. My favourite dishes were the deep fried halloumi and the chorizo, although all the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend here to my friends and family, can’t wait to return for another visit.

We have been a few times and never had a bad dish. We tend to go for the early bird as it's good value - 3 dishes for £13.Only small grumble would be the order the dishes comes out can be random. Twice we have had all the meat and fish first and then almost as an after though the chips and veg side dishes arrived right at the end.

Qué encantadora joya pintoresca de un lugar es este. La comida era excelente, nos atendió una joven llamada Leanne que no podía hacer lo suficiente por nosotros, los platos estaban espaciados muy bien y no se sentían apurados como en algunos restaurantes en los que he estado. 5 de 5 y definitivamente regresaremos e incluso podría tomar la señora la próxima vez. La Casita ha estado en nuestra lista de "lugares para cenar" por un tiempo. Es un edificio encantador y pintoresco con habitaciones pequeñas e íntimas, estaba muy tranquilo toda la noche, por lo tanto, podríamos haber estado sentados en una de las acogedoras habitaciones, pero en su lugar nos pusieron cerca de las escaleras donde todos entran y salen. No es bueno.La elección del menú no era muy amplia, así que terminamos eligiendo 2 platos cada uno y luego como relleno de la fuente de carne y queso; porque era muy caro y se habían quedado sin una de las carnes. Como la comida llega "cuando sea" (algo inusual para mí, aunque es la norma en muchos lugares), tuvimos que dejar esto hasta el final para poder comer primero la comida caliente. Idealmente, esto debería ser servido primero, o al menos dicho y dado la opción de tenerlo primero.En general, la comida estaba bien y era cara; Sin embargo, el personal era lo suficientemente agradable.

La Casita es un bar restaurante de tapas en Boston Spa, a medio camino entre Tadcaster y Wetherby. Tiene un ambiente cálido y acogedor y está lleno de encanto auténtico, más parecido a Madrid que a Marbella. (Hablo aquí como una vieja mano española que ha vivido y trabajado durante muchos años en España.) El menú de tapas es variado y está bien de precio, pero ten en cuenta que estas son tapas muy grandes, y si puedes manejar más de dos a 'pieza, te irá bien! La lista de vinos no es enorme, pero contiene la mayoría de los viejos favoritos, incluida una selección especial de Riojas particularmente excelentes. El servicio es rápido y amable, proporcionado en su mayor parte por dos camareras particularmente bonitas (¡lo que siempre ayuda!). Una pequeña decepción fue la ausencia de brandy español que no sea una Reserva Especial de 100 años, pero eso no me impedirá poner este establecimiento totalmente encantador en lo alto de mi lista de lugares que vale la pena visitar nuevamente en el futuro. ¡Recomiendo La Casita a todos, y especialmente a aquellos que tienen una relación amorosa continua con España pero que están atrapados por su propia culpa en el norte de Inglaterra! Fui esta noche con mi familia después de una reserva tardía y cierta confusión en línea con el horario de mesa (que resolvieron por teléfono sin ningún problema)Estaban muy ocupados (ya que tienen una oferta de todo lo que puedes comer el último domingo de cada mes), así que el servicio fue un poco lento, pero la comida era excelente y el personal se disculpó y muy servicial y amable.Sin duda recomendaría este restaurante.

First time experience. Food was fresh and delicious, little disappointed no duck bon bons but there popular! Staff were friendly and offered advice on dishes and ensured your drink s weren't empty. Didn't notice the lovely outdoor seating until we were leaving, would be nice to go for a drink. We will be looking forward to attending one of the all you can eat tapas days!!

In the past the tapas has been good, however last night's food was disappointing. All of our six dishes were heavily salted with ground rock salt. A calamari tapas dish was so much so that we just couldn't pallete it. We asked for a replacement with less salt, though this was no better. Such a shame as we've really enjoyed previous visits and the restaurant has a good atmosphere and polite staff; something just seems a miss in the kitchen.

My family and I went for a birthday meal the other day to La Casita on recommendations from friends. The venue itself is small and quirky, just off the High Street in Boston Spa. Upstairs there are 2 smallish rooms for diners. When the restaurant is very busy, it does (and did) get very loud in these rooms, which I guess goes with the nature of the building. The food itself was excellent; flavoursome, well seasoned and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend the Cordero (lamb rump), Rape asado (monkfish) and the Filete de croca (Rump cap steak), finished with an espresso martini. There is also an extensive wine list, with a good selection of Spanish wines including Riojas. The service was good and the staff were attentive.

Disappointing. Cold fries, burnt chorizo, over cooked monkfish, tough lamb, drinks delayed, waiting for ages for the bill even though it was relatively quiet... I really want this place to be good but after trying for the second time, unfortunately it just doesn’t live up to expectations. Good atmosphere so ok for a glass of wine and a nibble (cheese, ham etc looked good) but wouldn’t do dinner again.

Absolutely fantastic night my brothers 40th Birthday meal for 13 people .service was amazing to say they had another party in plus other guests .Food was brought quickly ,varied ,hot and delicious.The waitress looked after all our needs some more demanding then others but always kept a polite , courteous and friendly manner . The rest of the team were efficient and friendly .special mention to the chef and team amazing food ,served well and hot on such a demanding night .The whole evening was a great success thanks to such a great team and great service at the tapas . Great prices as they say you pay for quality.Certainly be recommending to all friends and family .Top Job thank you

Quality food and drink, pleasant atmosphere, definitely worth the money, will visit again very soon!

This is our favourite local restaurant to visit with family and friends. Last week, we enjoyed an aperitif in the lovely gin garden at the back and then upstairs for a varied selection of delicious dishes with interesting combinations of seasonal ingredients.Menu changes regularly and always plenty of meat free choices for our vegetarian friends. Service a bit slow last time so need to work on that. Hence the four rather than five stars.
