Having recently moved to Sheffield Jonis was recommended for a lovely place to meet friends. I booked a revel for my cousin and I. We enjoyed mimosas and lunch. Absolutely delicious food in beautiful surrounds. So good I’ve arranged to visit again for coffee with a friend. There are a few Joni’s around the city and my family have also visited the one in Oughtibridge which also comes highly recommended.

Our first time here. Enjoyed a hot drink here with my partner after a walk around the gardens. Staff are very pleasant and polite with great service. Will be visiting again very soon for lunch.

Food OK but poor service. Not a very friendly welcome, service slow (even though it was pretty quiet) coffee served slopped in saucer and they got the order wrong which meant we ate our breakfasts seperately. I think a few training sessions are needed. Won't go again.

My wife, my one-year old son and I visited Joni at the Botanical Gardens for a late breakfast. My wife and I had the Joni Royale which was delicious. Gorgeous food, lovely atmosphere and really fantastic service. Can’t wait for our next visit!

After living backing onto the Botanics for over 30 years, it was so sad seeing the cafe here going downhill over the past few years - but Joni’s have taken it over and it’s like a massive breath of fresh air. New decor, new furniture, friendly staff who also don’t look harassed, a new menu, and the introduction of bistro nights at weekends. The coffee’s good, the cakes look great but for once I resisted, the location remains as wonderful as ever, and it’s just made visiting the gardens even more appealing. And we firmly intend to come and check out one of the bistro nights soon… :)

This is the cafe in the beautiful Sheffield Botanical Gardens. The Curator's House building has been a restaurant and cafe previously but it closed during COVID. It was recently opened as a cafe by the Joni team who have two other cafes in Sheffield. We loved our lunch. I had the croque monsieur with parma ham and blue cheese which was excellent. The place was quite busy when we visited but our food came out on time and was well presented. Service was faultless. We live locally and are so glad this cafe opened in the Botanical Gardens.

Soup was gone off ,the lady said she won't charge me for it and the cola, but she still did charge me 17 pounds 50 pence. Worst food and worst experience ever.

A really nice Nandos but it was really cold on the Sunday lunch time we visited. I hate that you have to order from your table on an app at Nandos but the small amount of service we did receive was friendly enough. The inside is quite interesting with hexagonal tiles made of wood and metal on the floor and ceiling. Menu, as always was good although the chicken was a little dry. Would go back.

Had breakfast here a couple of times, the first time was alright. But the last time we visited (Friday just gone) was terrible, service was quite slow which wasn’t a massive issue but the food first came out stone cold, so we had to send it back. When it came back out the second time it was tepid at best and missing items multiple times. The lattes weren’t great, drinks took a while as there was only one member of staff at the bar, again not a big issue we understood there was only one person but it just doesn’t excuse the state of the food. Ordered some food for the toddler attending with us and was given a different dish than what was requested. By that point we had just given up as I was feeling awkward about repeatedly asking for things to be amended. Had a bit of a bad stomach for the reminder of the day too.

We came on Valentines day. We chose the restaurant since the website didn't mention anything about valentines day and thought we'd have the full menu to choose from (partner is vegetarian, so a some more options were there). Maybe our mistake by not phoning in to confirm this. We arrived to find a set menu and decided to stay since we heard the food was decent. However at nearly £50pp for the food we got, I didn't think it was at all worth it sadly. You might see in other reviews that the portion sizes are very questionable, tending towards the smaller side. The staff gave us a slight discount as we didn't want dessert which was appreciated, although her the lady that served us , her aura was slightly skewed to the negative side. For us wanting to deviate slightly from the "set" menu - no dessert. If it was a normal day with the normal pricing they advertise on their website ... this would have been a better review. But for nearly £100 for 2 people, I have to be honest, I would look elsewhere. It's no surprise to me that whilst we were there 2 families walked in, sat down, took a look at the pricing and walked out. Apart from that, the place was quite cosy.
