Great service, really enjoyed the food. Will come again!

Food bland and service was awful, had to ask several times to order and to be given the bill. Staff were grumpy (I get it's Christmas Day but still). Then we were told it was cash only, but we weren't told this in advance. Eventually they let us use the card machine to pay. Christmas Day 2024. I have been in the past and it was a bit better but I wouldn't recommend for Christmas.

We had dinner recently at the Everest as a family, for our son's birthday. The food was fabulous as always, with a really warm welcome, and the manager checked our dietary requirements and even brought us a vegan dhal that they'd made specially for us. The restaurant was busy and had an atmosphere that was lively but not unpleasantly loud as in some places. We went away feeling full and really well treated. Highly recommended!

Amazing place, great service but above all the food is just exquisite, very lovely balance of flavours and very diverse menu. Our favourite Indian restaurant!

Held our annual Xmas meal at Everest again this year. Food was great, service great, atmosphere great. Naz and team looked after us from the moment we arrived. All things were just as you'd hope they would be and a great night was enjoyed by all! Thanks again to all at Everest!

The Everest is a Sheffield institution. The food has been consistently good every time I've eaten it - over more years than I care to remember! Great service too.

Tasteless Dahl, absolutely terrible, disappointing - and the onion bhaji was cooked too quickly - over cooked on the outside & undercooked on the inside - Come on guys, these are basic foods to get right

Had my first Everest meal at the weekend and I was very impressed, good value for money, comforting food and really friendly and attentive staff!

First time coming here and felt very welcomed. Service was quick and the food was great! We had various dishes such as butter chicken (my fave), chicken saag, lamb bhuna and lamb methi all perfectly cooked. Really good value for monet too and will definitely be returning!

Every curry lacked flavour- it was extremely bland, the worst curry I’ve probably ever had. Paneer aloo and chicken Kahari tasted the exact same- bland again. Garlic and cheese nan also didn’t come with any cheese. Very dissapointed

Food was very tasty and good portion sizes. The staff however were rude. A young lady staff just stood from the other side of the room and stared at us the whole time, the male waiter told us we needed to be quicker with our order as they were busy (only 1 other table was occupied). We were made to feel like we had done something wrong from the minute we walked in. Shocking treatment and we won’t ever go back here.

Our favourite place for family get togethers and celebrations. Always remembered and warmly welcomed, we love it here :))

Portion was not the best and the chicken sagg was not the best asked for spicy apna kind of style and it was mild watery and small portion but not bad I will order something else another time to try again

We revisited after a long absence but in desperate need of some good indian food which is harder to find than one would imagine. We could not fault the meat content of any of the dishes but the lamb dishes in particular lacked depth of spice and flavour, fairly bland which was a real shame. The rice dishes and the garlic and corriander naan were all really tasty. We really do not want to be critical but the dishes did lack authenticity and it is quite a journey for us to get there.

The order was 15 minutes late and the ride was missing. However, it was very tasty food and we got some free onion bhajis so, overall, would order again from here.

I was really looking forward to trying this Indian especially with all the good reviews. We went on a Thursday evening around 7 after booking on their online system. The restaurant had a few people in, not sure if there were for take outs or eating in, as we were put in a booth at the other side. The waiter asked if we wanted drinks which we ordered 4 draft cobra. It stated on the website it was £3.90, it didn’t say if it was for a pint or half. The price for the beer was £3 for half & £5.10 for a pint, which seems to be the standard price in most Indians these days. We ordered popadoms & again the waiter asked if we wanted more drinks, we had not really finished the 1st ones. We ordered our main meals & again was asked if we would like any more dinks which we ordered another 2 & a half pints. I asked for a Chicken Karahi madras strength, the waiter replied it comes spicy, I replied yes that’s fine. My karahi was not very spicy @ all , in fact quite bland. The three other meals were fine but that was it, fine. The waiter seemed keen on pushing the beer but not actually listening to what the customer was asking for. For a meal out, I was quite disappointed.

Was usual good standard. Only gripe was salad missing from Onion Bhaji but I will get over it!

Curry’s was absolutely awful there was no flavour . Absolutely shame as was really looking forward to it . Stated no veg and it come with veg and takeaway stated it needs the veg for flavour which it doesn’t have the worst Indian takeaway we have had

Ate here for mum’s birthday, great food and although not busy at all on a Monday, food came out exceptionally fast. Recommend the lamb rogan josh and chicken tikka masala with garlic and cheese naan bread.

My partner and I love this restaurant . It’s a real treat and we have to drive a few miles and it’s worth it. All the dishes are gorgeous can’t fault any of them . This year we have booked a table for Christmas Day for our family and friends as we know the food will be excellent and can cater for vegetarian members easily.

Delivery was on time, but for the second time the driver didn't read our delivery instructions and knocked on the wrong door. I've been in touch with the restaurant before about this yet it happened again and the driver was rude when I redirected him

My only issue is you can't order a starter and decide on a mains while that's cooking so if are indecisive like me be at to look at the menu and decide before you go. But I know this is my problem not theirs at it's still 5 stars from me

Having spent a good bit of time researching the best place in Sheffield for a decent Indian meal, I had fairly high expectations and I really wanted to like this place. I left this restaurant absolutely baffled by the positive reviews; this was the worst Indian I have ever had in my life. The first thing I noticed, is that this restaurant is visibly unclean. For example, the mirrors have visible dust on them, and there is a smell of staleness, possibly coming from the weathered old fabric seats. It made me wonder about the hygiene practises going on behind the scenes. The service was overbearing, and one of the servers was actually quite rude. I remained hopeful about the food though, and had my fingers crossed for a pleasant surprise... The food was absolutely abysmal. The Dhal tasted of... Nothing??? Keema naan with no identifiable trace of lamb in it. A meanly portioned tandoori mixed grill, containing the most dry and tasteless seekh kebab I have ever encountered. I don't usually write such negative reviews, but these people should be ashamed of themselves. They surely know the food is dreadful, I sincerely doubt that they would eat the food that they serve here.

Called in with a friend after a long absence and I can confirm that Everest is as good as ever ! Our favourite place for Indian food in Sheffield. It was quieter than normal as England were playing in the Euros that evening but it was great to enjoy the chat and banter with the owner again and experience top class service and food. Food was as tasty as ever ! I had my favourite, dry chicken tikka meal and my friend had a chicken madras curry. The onion bhaji and poppadoms with pickle tray starters were also great and very appetising and servers were great. I don't drink anymore so I can't vouch for my friends Cobra but it looked nice in its trendy glass, and it was good to see Everest follow the modern trend and provide an alcohol zero option in the form of Heineken zero for me to drink :-) We will be back again, and hopefully not as long an absence next time !

The only restaurant in Sheffield where you are not rushed in and out you are allowed time to eat and drink the staff are amazing nothing is too much trouble and you are made to feel welcome

Best restaurant in Sheffield no doubt, it’s really hard to make a nice phall curry and it was the best one I have tried, the lamb was very tender and fresh, shout out to zahoor ahmed best curry chef and the owner very nice guy 💙

Ordered (chicken tikka - lamb tikka - paneer tikka )starters which were ok ok . Next we have ordered garlic naan which was like normal naan with lamb handi ( this was something that was worth the visit ) and chicken karahi it was o.k.. then onion rice and egg fried rice which were decent lastly mango lassi it was horrible with a lot of ice in it .

The food was dreadful. Unfortunately the worst Indian I’ve ever ordered. No flavour in either curry, the rice was old and lacked any flavour. Same for the Naans. Really disappointed as the reviews were very good. Will not be ordering again or visiting the restaurant. Terrible

The food was absolutely delicious! I have tried 5 different items and I highly recommend this place! Food was freshly prepared, amount portion was perfect and the presentation was brilliant. I've never had Indian food this good! Everest Restaurant's menu is diverse and exciting, with every dish I've tried being a winner. The naan is fresh and fluffy, the curries are rich and creamy, and the service is always friendly and efficient. Highly recommend for a taste adventure!

Nice staff, service and food. I ordered based on the high rated reviews. Unfortunately, the food delivery was delayed, the chicken tikka massala mostly tastes of creme, bland. The Dansak was not to the usual taste, and featured hard undercooked lentils - I didn't finish it and the next day I suffered for it :) The rest was lovely and tasty. This is one of the best Indians in Sheffield. I've never had a bad meal. It's really good value too. It's never busy which is a shame as the guy that runs it is really helpful and the food genuinely is superb. Highly recommended.

After my first visit to Everest recently, I've become a regular.
