It is very good in every sense, it is a place where you can sit with your family or loved ones, the food and staff service are very good.

Fuimos a la hora del almuerzo, y estaba bastante ocupado. Una buena gama en el menú de la hora del almuerzo y a un precio razonable. El menú principal es variado, pero bastante caro para el almuerzo. El personal era encantador; atento, eficiente y acogedor. Sin duda recomendaría este lugar si quieres cenar en West Street.

Went there on a Saturday night, luckily called before going and were told table booking needed as they were busy. We got the table for 8:30 which wasn't very late. When we reached there we ordered for 2 Hummus and Ali Nazik, which came with 2 portions of fresh bread. Bread was so delicious that it finished in no time and we had to order more. For main meal we had mix grill platters which were served on a bed of rice with salads on both sides. It was very delicious, meat was very juicy, kebabs were so flavourful, chicken was so yummy. There were tortilla wraps hidden under the rice which we found at the end. We had Turkish tea at the end which was served with turkish delight. Staff was quite friendly and nice. Everything was good until we found a long hair in a rib, luckily it was near the end. Because of this I'm giving it 4 stars, rest of the experience was great.

This is the third time I have had the pleasure of dining in this restaurant the lamb chops are sensational I had the lambs liver starter this time which I would also highly recommend also a very pleasant atmosphere with great waiting staff

Great meal - fabulous service (really good fun!)

It was my first time here and it definitely won't be the last! The whole experience was just wonderful. From the initial greeting, the service, the tasty food, and the atmosphere, it was all so good. We were a group of 6 people, enjoying a lovely night out, and this just topped it off for us. If I could give more than 5 stars then I would. Thank you so much for helping to make our evening so special. We will be back ☺️.

Called in on a Friday evening based on the look of the place and menu; top choice on both counts. Staff were helpful and friendly, even correcting my terrible attempt at pronouncing the menu choice so I can get it right next time. Food was very tasty and plentiful without being too much.

Very good Turkish food in Sheffield! We had dinner here recently in a group of 4 on a Thursday evening. We arrived quite late for the area, around 9pm, and had no problem getting a table despite not booking in advance. I went for the chicken iskender and didn’t regret my choice. The meal was delicious and hearty, with the chicken being very tender and flavorful from the grill and the tomato sauce and yoghurt complementing each other well. If I had to criticize anything: the portion size was slightly on the small size for the price (18£ if I remember correctly) and there was no bread offered with the meal. On the plus side, the waiter was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is homely and cosy.

Being here wirh colleagues after a successful and most interesting/ inspiring workshop. Finalised this wonderful day with a delicious dinner and continued conversation. All recomendaciones by a colleague with Turkish roots fit excellently and the friendly and welcoming was service perfect.

Love, love, loved it! Had a “little” get together there after our civil wedding and the hostess was amazing and lively. The food was well seasoned and tasty. Everyone left satisfied and had glowing reviews. Definitely worth a visit and they can accommodate a party of 20! Probably more

My daughter and I just came back after eating there. I had the lamb chops and they were the best I have had and my daughters moussaka was very tasty as well. Highly recommended. Returned back after months and had the Lamb Guvec, literally dissolved in my mouth. So good. Daughter again had the moussaka as she said its the best she's ever had and was yearning for it again.

We had dinner here it was great. The king prawn main we got the lamb guvec which was so tender and the neat just melted in our mouth. The falafel with hummus 😋 was a delicious combo. Also we got a mixed grill which was served with chicken and lamb skewers, lamb kofta and a lamb chop.

El personal era atento y amable, asegurándose de que teníamos todo lo necesario durante toda nuestra comida. La comida era igualmente impresionante. Empezamos con un entrante mixto, que resultó ser una porción generosa, más que suficiente para satisfacer a nuestro grupo de cinco, a pesar de que estaba destinado a dos. Me and my husband was out for a few drinks for the bank holiday and came across Efes restaurant. To say this was our first time the food was amazing 👏, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. I would highly recommend 👌 and will certainly be coming back soon.

I've been here a couple of times now with the fella and family for special occasions. It's a really nice Turkish restaurant. Food is really tasty and a good dejection to cater to all tastes, reasonably priced. The staff are really friendly and chatty, and the atmosphere is very warm, welcoming, and inviting.

Having spontaneously going in to Efes we ordered a mixed grill for 3. Although we were 2 we were starving. We were slightly disappointed we didn't get served the complimentary breads as you normally would do in Turkish Restaurant. However we thought the food was great, the service was quick and the waiters attentive. It is quite pricey so beware. But overall would definitely recommend.

Had lunch with a colleague. Most of veggie options were a bit substantial for lunch (falafel and chips etc). The small Greek salad was perfect. Good variety of leaves. Onion, tomatoes etc and nice portion of cheese. It was very quiet in the restaurant but that was fine for a weekday working lunch. Service was friendly and attentive but not too heavy handed.

I called to ask if you do home delivery and a lady said yes order online I said I only have cash , the lady changed her voice she was rude to explain that they just only do delivery online. She can simply say no we just do delivery by online that's it . She is not a professional.

We had a great Saturday night here for my Nan’s birthday, the food was amazing! Couldn’t fault it if we tried. The staff are great, very nice and friendly 😊 Will be going back soon!

Good restaurant but very high prices

This was a our first time her and probably won't be our last. The food is bang on and the portions generous. The service staff are really nice and polite, even when the place is busy, which it generally is. It has a very "unusual" decoration style, but that sort of adds to its appeal. The lighting is a bit bright and it's popular with large groups, so if you are looking for a romantic, quite night out then pick a different place. I'm sure we will be going back.

Very nice Turkish restaurant with a good variety of dishes. I’ve tried the mix kebab and it was awesome Borek was amazing . The hummus was very good. The staff is fast and was very helpful.

The place had a nice vibe to it and the staff were friendly and kind. Enjoyed all the food I chose- nothing blew me away with the taste, but everything was of a good standard and the portions of the mains were particularly decent. Loved getting the lokum with the bill- that is always a win when restaurants do that!

As a party of 6 we all choose different meals from the menu. We all agreed that all the food was of a high standard and well presented. The waitress service was excellent. Prices were all reasonable. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience and highly recommend this Turkish restaurant.

I visited with a large group for a weekday lunch. The service was swift and the food was excellent. We had the lunch menu, ~£13 for starter and main and we all enjoyed our hummus, wraps, burgers and fish. There was a little confusion about what was vegan on the menu but there were plenty of vegan options.

Located at the top end of west street is the small Turkish restaurant Effes, with friendly staff lovely atmosphere and great food, We had prawn n mushroom starter served in a clay dish. My wife had chicken Pureli kebab,pan fried, served on a bed of mashed potatoes with peppers and herbs, I had Traditional dish of Lamb Guvet diced lamb, pepper, aubergine, onion, mushrooms and herbs in a tomato sauce served in a clay dish with rice all were absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend

I had brunch here with my friends one Sunday. I really liked their Turkish breakfast plate, which was so satisfying, and its price was reasonable. This dish comes with Turkish coffee, making my experience even more enjoyable.

Really fast service once the food was ordered. Staff could have been more attentive as I had to find someone to order a drink once my first one was finished. We went for a meal with colleagues from the office and everyone really enjoyed their food.

Kicked off our works Christmas night out with a meal at Efes. The service was brilliant, attentive staff and quick service. The food was absolutely delicious, everyone really enjoyed their meals and the atmosphere. I recently had a gastric sleeve and so was unable to finish my meal, the staff were very concerned I'd not enjoy it, and offered to prepare me something else. There was no need, but i felt this was a lovely gesture. I asked for my leftovers to take away - but just wanted to reassure the chef and staff there was nothing at all wrong with my meal, it was absolutely beautiful. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back. 10/10

Had a wonderful relaxed meal in this friendly restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. We shared the cold combo between 3 of us - flavours and textures were superb - so refreshing and light. Then Chicken Dolma and Sea food Guvec. All delicious. Waiting staff were attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back.

My partner and I first visited Efes over a year ago, since then it’s become our go to restaurant for date nights, birthdays, and family dinners. The food is consistently great and it’s always accompanied by fast, friendly service by the staff.

Excellent food, great choice on the menu

Honestly come here all the time for lunch. The food is always excellent, they have good lunch deals, a bit more expensive in the evening. And the staff are always friendly. One of my go to spots. My favourites are the Turkish breakfast (pictured) and the creamy chicken which is on the lunch menu. All the starters on the lunch menu are excellent too.

Great food, Terrific birthday dining experience

Nice restaurant near the University campus. Surprisingly quiet but I think that was because it was such a hot day. Food we ordered was really good. I was a little concerned our starters may have been a bit over-cooked but everything was moist and tasty. Mains were equally good our waitress was excellent by the way.

It was a great experience，The food is very good and I like the lamb ribs very much. The attitude of the waitress was excellent，We each spent only 13.5 pounds to get a great lunch. We'll be coming back to this restaurant！！

A meal with colleagues 12 in total we were all served piping hot food at the same time. Beautifully cooked, presented well a pleasure to eat. I would love to return to try more of the menu.

A gem in Sheffield. Delicious food, relaxed atmosphere and friendly, welcoming staff. My friend and I visited on Saturday, we shared the cold platter and it was so tasty. And huge! Then had a main dish each. Staff lovely, they were happy for us to take a break between courses and we didnt feel rushed. Would highly recommend a visit.

Disfrutamos una cena familiar y fue maravilloso, pues cuando hay niños para mí es de suprema importancia que coman bien, todo delicioso! El carnero, la ensalada, el servicio, y el lugar impecable. Les recomiendo el plato familiar mixto con delicias de comida Turca, y yo disfruto tomar ayran pues me parece la perfecta combinación, por los probióticos y porque hace una sinfonía con la cena.

Delicious food, good restaurant to go after shopping in Sheffield

The food is expensive. It is £7.95 for only lamb hummush. The portion is so small. Which I can get other meal with the same price but bigger portion. However, the waitress is very friendly and kind. And just to be aware you have to pay by cash if you buy below £15. I was almost can't pay by card since I don't have cash cuz I buy below that amount but hamdulillah the other waitress Melissa said can and it is ok. So I can pay using card.

Beautiful food, friendly atmosphere

We have visited this restaurant on multiple occasions as a family however our visit yesterday was extremely uncomfortable and distressing. The waiter was standing next to our 8 year old and he dropped a plate on a glass causing it to shatter. The shards went everywhere as expected when a glass is broken. This included in the meals we had just received and in our drinks. As the little one was crying we were comforting her/checking the children were not hurt. We requested that the meals were replaced as it would be dangerous to swallow glass. The waiter argued that shards were not in the food and tried to move us to the adjacent table. He continued to push back and was extremely reluctant to replace the meals/drinks. This made the experience extremely upsetting for us as we did not expect to have to plead for consumable food or justify why, this was obvious. For a bill of almost £60.00, as regular customers all we wanted was an easy, welcoming experience and this was the total opposite due to the male waiter (pictured in another review). Would not recommend at all unfortunately due to the way he handled this situation. Extremely poor customer service.

I always visit Efes when I am in Sheffield and can honestly say that the food never disappoints. That Ali Nazik is my favourite, but I would also recommend the guvec (casseroles), chicken or lamb shish kebabs and the seafood dishes. Highly recommended for authentic Turkish food and delightful service.

took student grandson as he had not eaten Turkish food in UK before. Good choice of meals, excellent service, freshly cooked hot and tasty food. We chose from a la carte this time to get more options but next time would go for the lunchtime menu. Will definitely visit again as another grandson has chosen Sheffield for the next three years.

A bit mediocre, noisy irritating music, long wait time and slightly rude about moving us from table to table. The hummus was lovelly. Waitress quite chatty smiley and food taking the food order. Bit of friction between kitchen staff and her that was unprofessional. Food in my opinion just a step up from the kebab shop. Not really restaurant quality.

A friendly welcome. Very efficient and speedy service. Good flavoursome food. Great vegetarian options. Prices that didn't require a second mortgage. (I said I would)

Exceptional. Staff were really friendly and helpful to recommend. The Halloumi starter was delicious and not over cooked or over portioned. The Mixed Shish was cooked perfect. Chicken couldn't have been better and the lamb part had the perfect pinkness. Really tasty and would recommend!
