The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in East Midlands

This was our first visit to Piedaniel’s for a family birthday. It certainly won’t be our last! Everything about the experience was spot on, from the warm greeting on arrival, to the spacious and comfortable setting, the perfectly judged service ( friendly, timely and discreet) and of course the food! The meal was delicious, attractively presented and in generous portions. Freshly baked focaccia and handmade truffles were served as unexpected treats and confirmed the sense that this is a place where they genuinely care about quality for it’s own sake. Every person in the party commented on what a great choice it was and I have no hesitation in recommending Piedaniel’s to anyone looking for a wonderful meal in a serene setting with friendly service.

Very disappointing, slow service, food only warm, not hot. Tough, fatty lamb. It should have been a special 70th birthday meal. We won't be returning.

We booked for 18.00ish went into the restaurant around 18.30. Was taken to a lovely reserved round table where the doos were open as it was a really hot day. The service was fantastic, the drinks came quickly also the food. The food was hot and very tasty, Service was brilliant. Definitely will be going back

Extremely bad customer service. Very rude manager who scolds customers with foul language. At the request of my friend to put the salad in a separate dish, the manager started yelling like a psychopath, he shouted at us that he was not going to put the salad separately from the burger. He insulted my friend so terribly that we were all in shock! I have never seen such rudeness in my entire life. I will never order food from this horrible place again and would not recommend to anyone unless you want to be insulted and yelled in your face!

They were so so rude to us. We order delivery and they said we orders pickup which we did not do then they recited our address (which was not correct btw) and we were like how do you know our address if we ordered pick up? We told them there was something wrong with their system and they just kept shouting at us. It was very unprofessional, then they told us to cancel our delivery so we could get refunded but then they purposely cancelled it on their end so we couldn’t get refunded. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour

We decided to come down to IKEA as a family for some food - indeed the ONLY reason to voluntarily come to IKEA, particularly with a small child. There is something nice about an IKEA restaurant. I can't quite put my finger on what it is - after all, it is basically a glorified canteen - but it's somewhere I do enjoy coming. We perhaps don't come here as often as we ought. The prices are very, very reasonable (which is good, because portion sizes aren't overly big) and the food is actually decent. Obviously one has to go for the meatballs (I wouldn't order meatballs anywhere else) but there are good alternatives too - including fish and chips, which my wife had and enjoyed. There are also kids options. Not particularly extensive, but enough to get you by. Overall I enjoyed our visit. I'm sure we will be back at some point. It's a good, affordable option for a small family meal.

started the trip off with a half an hour wait, although 1/4 friends had been given their food. when asked where the food is, the response was “5 minutes”, before coming back to tell us that it will not infact be 5 minutes and will be much longer and offered us a free starter between the 3 of us. when food eventually came there was a hair in it! another one of the 4 meals was incorrect, i had tailored my food to remove sauces, to my surprise my wrap contained the sauces that i requested to be removed. to enhance the experience my friend decided to treat herself to an ice cream… the machine was broke, there was no sign or anything on the app to indicate this, as an alternative the waiter had offered a scoop of ice cream…. this scoop had a hair in it. therefore we requested the refund for the ice cream and left after drinking our soda water as the coca cola machine had broken with out making us aware! no apology for these issues.

Lovely staff but you're not allowed to use laptops there for some reason

We had the paella option and it was one of the worst i have tasted, to my amazement i was shocked to hear that Casa 17 did win awards. i really don't know why. i am very disappointed and to pay over the odds as well is not good service. very poor and they really should look how to cook a proper Paella

I had not finished my last review, we had to wait to long, there was only us and another couple in who came after us and were series before , the food was very basic and not much of it.

Had two pizzas, chips and garlic bread. Everything was delicious!!!!
