Casa 17 in North Kesteven

We had the paella option and it was one of the worst i have tasted, to my amazement i was shocked to hear that Casa 17 did win awards. i really don't know why. i am very disappointed and to pay over the odds as well is not good service. very poor and they really should look how to cook a proper Paella

If I could give this review a 0, I would! Casa 17 were hired to provide the catering for a relatives birthday party recently. Despite the booking being made over 5 months in advance and all pre-paid for, we were all left highly disappointed. Food was bought out over an hour and 30 mins late, not to mention the “home made, made fresh in house” high standard as advertised. It was quite frankly the opposite. With chicken strips and sausage rolls, stale sandwiches no better than what you would buy off of a supermarket shelf. Not to mention the lack of vegetarian options - despite us advising well in advance there would be vegetarians present! I’d also like to mention that there wasn’t even enough food provided for the amount of guests we had initially booked for, over £600 for something that looked like it was worth £20 off of the supermarket shelf is highly insulting. If you want something for your money I would avoid casa 17 at all costs.

Attended for a loved one's 80th birthday. The booking was made and paid for well in advance and reassurances were made the food would be homemade and presented well. The food was booked for 3pm. It arrived at 4.30. 10 people left beforehand. It wasn't homemade and there wasn't even enough food to go round the remaining guests! Poor vegetarian food despite the wide range of vegetarian food options these days. Apparently there was a problem with the suppliers...Are the suppliers not contacted a few days before to check the order? We were later advised the reasoning behind the poor service was because the company had put August 8th in their diary instead of July 8th. There seems to be lack of integrity here. Where is your honesty? A heartfelt apology and honesty go a long way. A partial refund should have been offered and not apportion blame to those booking for a special event by only accepting 'part blame yourself'. In addition we do not appreciate the long ranting unapologetic response from the organiser that was sent my partner after his review....absolutely unprofessional all round...so please do not respond.

This company had done buffet for my friends 80th birthday party She was told all the food would be homemade set up beautifully The food supposed to be available from 3pm didn’t arrive until 4.30pm he blamed his suppliers and staff none of it was handmade it looked like he has rushed out to tescos brought the food places it on places and put it out on the table. There was not enough food to feed everyone. There were supposed to be 2 vegetarian meals at extra cost 🤷‍♀️ She was told they were on the table salad and a pasta dish at an extra cost 😡 Won’t recommend them at all. They have not been helpful in sorting this out In fact she was told she was partially responsible 😡 Lynn

Dreadful service. These were used as caterers for my mother's 80th birthday party. Booking was made several months in advance with food due to arrive at 3pm on the day. Food arrived at 4:30pm! 10 guests had to leave before the food arrived. Vegetarian options wer laughable (an egg sandwich and some pasta) and the amount of food was scarce considering the £12.50 per head cost. As for the claim that all food is home-made - that was not our experience. Avoid for catering.

Fabulous little restaurant with fantastic staff small but excellent menu great value for money highly recommended

really excellent food, very reasonably priced with a simple and economical wine and drinks list. Absolutely fresh scallops with a delicious tomato lemon and onion salsa followed by a generous Barnsley chop, skewer of vegetables, small cubed roast potatoes and tzatziki dip. A welcome small by today's standards service charge of 5% and all beautifully cooked and presented by daughter and dad

My partner and I dined at Casa 17 for the first time this weekend. What a delightful experience - wonderful food and the most genial of hosts. It’s a small restaurant, so booking ahead is advised. A real gourmet experience. We’ll certainly make this one of our regulars.

My husband and I had a lovely meal in this small restaurant. It’s a short menu, very well priced and with warm service. We found the starters and the mains (top class, and we are lucky enough to have eaten in lots of places all over the world) to be a little bit better than pudding. Had a great evening and would throughly recommend.

My husband and I dined here a few nights ago, it’s a small intimate restaurant, family run and in the centre of Sleaford. The quality of the food was excellent, the owner Stuart and his daughter run the restaurant and the kitchen , and the food they produce is far above the other restaurants in Sleaford we have tried. We were there on French Night, they sensibly keep the menu small so that they can keep the quality high, all the meat and produce is from very local sources. We both had the Venison en Croute with the freshest veggies ( perfectly cooked) it was outstanding , I started with the Salmon Rillete and finished with the yummy profiteroles, a super white wine and some local beer for my husband made it perfect and also an excellent price. It’s taken us a while to get round to trying it but it won’t be our last visit.

I dined here recently with two friends. It is near my house but we had not visited previously. It is family run and the atmosphere is excellent. They regularly vary the menu featuring French, and Greek cuisine. The food was of a very high standard. They only have 12 covers so an intimate setting. The night we went they had just won an award for their cooking and the meal started with free champagne. We will certainly be eating here again.

We have been to this small, friendly, intimate restaurant a few times now and they are consistently excellent. The food is fresh, locally sourced produce, cooked to perfection with good size portions. The house red wine is delicious. The service is very attentive without being intrusive. It's a small place, making it ideal for a romantic meal or a meal with friends where you can catch up. It's a real hidden gem. If you are ever in Sleaford, this place is a must.
