Poor service, coupled with bland, expensive food, makes this restaurant one you can miss. The Sole was bland. The schnitzel dry and tasteless. My sister eats everything. Ive never seen her leave a morsel on her plate and she left half. The avocado salad with greens, was 1/2 and avocado cut into pieces with a few micro greens. I could go on, just go somewhere else. The only redeeming aspect was they brought out 3 wrong entrees at first and comped our salad.

I would not go there again. Twice now recently. First time the driver was rude at me because of his own error. Second time, just bad. Avoid.

We were out for a family day with our twin boys. We came across AMPM, the setting was stunning. My boys can be quite picky and they loved the food! We were servered by John who went above and beyond, nothing was a bother to him. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

I had a lovely dining experience at The Ivy. I ordered the fish & chips — it was absolutely delicious, crispy on the outside and tender inside, one of the best I’ve had! The atmosphere was beautiful and elegant, perfect for a relaxed meal. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the whole evening feel special. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy great food and a refined yet cozy setting. I’ll definitely be back!

Popped in here on the off chance I might find a GLUTEN FREE choice , and I was right!! The GLUTEN FREE MENU is very impressive, lots of choice!! I went for the Spring Chicken dish which was very well cooked , very well presented, and very tasty!! I just came to Carlisle for my tea as I'd travelled from Settle on the beautiful, scenic railway, and I have to say , I made a great choice!! The staff were very helpful and polite too , which makes a refreshing change!!

Well I have stopped buying curries from the high street, every time I dine at the Ivy I have been ordering the Curry, simple the best around, full of flavour, with depth just the right amount of Rice, and more importantly not ridiculously hot like the high street curries who do it to mask the blandness and taste.....just give it a try you will not be disappointed

In desperate need of WiFi from 11-4 so I could attend a course while on holiday. Had 2 labradors with me. Staff so helpful - opened conservatory for me, and gave me and dogs the space for all that time. Hugely, hugely grateful. Thank you so much for your warm erkcomw and help!

We went on a very sunny Sunday afternoon, obviously an extremely busy day as we as Brits like to get out as soon as the sun appears 😀. We ordered a couple of items which had then gone out of stock, we ordered again and again meals were out of stock. The Manager was very quick to apologise and offer a reduction which was very much appreciated and made us feel as if he actually cared about customer service which is not always the case. Gorgeous Greek platter, cheeky Saturday lunch as had a day off. Such a friendly, cosy pub. Sophie and her team are lovely, food as always, tasty, filling and good price, thanks again.
