We were there 20th to 24th August. Hotel decor, room and atmosphere were excellent. Food was superb both at breakfast and dinner, All staff were friendly and polite. Susie and Asia on reception were exceptional as was Ella in the restaurant.

Food was great during our stay, restaurant was busy each night but Issey always managed to sort us out quickly, really great work by her.

We stayed at the hotel. We had done a lot both days and therefore had decided to eat at the hotel both nights. The first night the place was quite busy. Service was slow but acceptably so. What I mean is that you definitely waited but not to the point of irritance. The second night, the resteraunt was closed so we ate in the bar. Food on the first night was ok, I had steak and my husband had fish. Frankly I was expecting more. It was bland, not so bad that it could be sent back but disappointing nevertheless. We both felt the same. We thought hard about eating there again the second night. However, we decided to do so; I had chicken and my husband had fish. We had a prawn cocktail starter. The second night was amazing. The food was delicious and on this meal I would recommend the resteraunt. It was well seasoned and tasty. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. Certainly on the second night it was far quieter but the food was of a completely different standard. Cocktails on both nights were lovely I would like to add that we had breakfast on both mornings and that was lovely

Had a 2 night stay in the Malmaison. Really friendly and attentive service from the moment we checked in. The hotel offers the choice of foregoing daily room cleans for a cocktail at the bar and supporting a charity (I mean, who needs their bed making everyday anyway?) We visited the bar 2 nights running and the service was amazing. Cat and Becca really looked after us on the first night and gave us cocktail recommendations based on what flavours we liked. On the second night Joe made the best pornstar martinis we have ever had! Definitely recommended stopping in at this bar even if you aren’t staying over. You will not be disappointed.

Perfect for a family celebration or getting to know someone. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and offered recommendations.

Myself and my partner are both staying in the hotel and decided to spend the night in the bars, atmosphere is amazing, good variety of music played. The bartender Becca was amazing, knowing her drinks on and off the menu. She was lovely and asked us about our drinks and if they were ok, which they were. The attitude and personality from Becca was personal and professional all on the right level. More important we wanted to say thank you to all the team on the floor, including Bekah, Joe and Jess who we saw through out our short stay. Thank you to kitchen team for our steaks. Beautiful food. We had great food in a lovely atmosphere. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful of pleasant. Matt in the restaurant was very helpful and knowledgeable. Becca served us drinks and was lovely, again knowledgeable on the drinks available. Thanks to both.

We went to the Mal Bar & Grill in early December for our Christmas Lunch which was outstanding from start to finish. Because of our numbers, we had the whole restaurant to ourselves and the service we received was second to none. I was dealing with Leanne for my booking, and she was a dream to deal with from the outset - always efficient and communicative and the whole event planning was flawless. Becka, Jordan and Connor all provided us with great service - nothing was too much trouble for them. I would thoroughly recommend this venue for any office party! Has to be my fav hotel in Liverpool. I love the modern architecture and cool decor , world class and the restaurant is another reason we keep coming back . Delicious buffet breakfast and gourmet coffee . Ivana the manager /host is a gem and a real asset to the organization. She remembers us from prior trip and is always kind, warm and professional . Will be back in May 2024.

We had pre-dinner drinks in the bar and were served by the lovely Connor. Then into the restaurant which had a relaxed atmosphere including a singer entertaining guests. The food itself was excellent, hot, delicious & cooked to perfection. One of the nicest Sunday Roast’s we’ve had in a long time. Add to this, the excellent and attentive service by Mustafa and we give 5 stars for Sunday Roast at Malmaison Liverpool.

We came for the weekend and first night was spent being looked after by the bar team, from a hospitality manager perspective, some of the best customer service I have seen in a while. Came over to Liverpool last Thursday and decided to try the Brasserie for the half price steak deal. Had a really nice evening, the restaurant has a lovely comfortable feel to it and the food was first rate. Photos of desserts, scoffed the steak before I thought to take a pic! Service was impeccable and special thanks go to Mustapha and Matty who really looked after us so well. Will definitely be back.

This hotel was absolutely amazing staff were extremely helpful but 4 in particular were connor, becca, Daisy and the man behind reception David. We enjoyed food and drinks in the Bar & Grill both nights of our stay at Malmaison hotel and had a brilliant experience - we had intended to dine out on our second night but the vibe and drinks were so good, we decided to stay! The cocktails were stunning and expertly made, all dishes were mouth-wateringly delicious and service was friendly but super professional, knowledgable and attentive. Our 3 year old also loved the food and buzzy atmosphere, and the staff were very accommodating. Big thanks to Rebecca and Connor who went above and beyond to look after us and really enhanced our experience! Looking forward to returning next time we’re in the city :-)

Extremely disappointed! Definitely not a four star experience! The room was awful with worn out/marked/scratched furniture and a bathroom in need of serious updating! The restaurant was no better, two star service with even worse food made with the absolute least ingredients possible. Then a dessert which was obviously an Aldi sticky toffee pudding minus the plastic tub! Then came breakfast which was the worst ever. Guests had to form a queue for twenty minutes out towards the main reception area to get to the bar where we received a tray with pre packed fruit/cutlery and cereal. Then shown to a table and ignored for another 30 minutes while every other guest that arrived after you was served! We ordered a normal and a vegetarian cooked breakfast both with no egg. After god knows how long later and asking several times it arrived but was wrong so we had to wait again! Then when it finally came the normal cooked breakfast looked fine, sausage bacon black pudding mushroom beans and croquettes but the vegetarian breakfast was an absolute disgrace! A burned veg sausage, beans, a few croquettes and one mushroom the size and thickness of a fifty pence piece! When I complained they said would I like another sausage!!! How could the chef or staff look at the difference between those two breakfasts and have the cheek to send them out!!! I sent it back! An absolutely awful experience. I WOULD RATHER STAY IN THE ADHELFI!!!!!

This is NOT a 4* hotel, it’s barely 3*. The customer service was minimal. We waited 20 mins to check out today. We asked to see the room before we booked it and was told that we would have to wait 15 minutes for a member of staff to come! We took the room because it was 11pm and didn’t want to hand around waiting for someone to show us. The room had a small 3/4 sized bath. The wardrobes are really ropey. The carpet is dirty and needs replacing. The view overlooks the road. The breakfast was shocking! We paid £16 each for breakfast. Which was horrendous. It came in packed plastic cups and small Aldi pastries. The quality is appalling. we had to pay an additional £4 supplement for hot food!!!! £20 for breakfast each - ha what a joke! It was really poor quality.

When we arrived the person greeting was miserable and didn’t smile. Told us we weren’t booked in and made no effort to resolve. Young, miserable and inexperienced in hospitality. Had to show booking on phone, which was just as well else we would have been shunned. Food was cold. We wouldn’t have a dessert so went to MacDonald instead, was probably just as good.

quiet meal with my partner and restaurant was surprised the restaurant was nearly empty , we were sat right on top of the other 2 tables being used which wasnt great Lady who sat us down didnt really seem that interested to be honest . this soon improved when our waitress came over and was so helpful and chatty she checked all the menu for my girlfriend who is lactose intolerant and we chose our meals and she went away and checked with the chef that all the food was ok for her.Food came in a reasonable time and was beautiful , large portions and really tasty.Waitress was attentive and checked on us a couple of times and was really friendly , as i work in the hospitality industry i was impressed with her customer service and helpfulness. she looked after us so well i cant recall her name but she did mention she was Italian and studying to be an English teacher so if her management read this she is a really good waitress.

Visited one Saturday night. Quick cocktail before the meal and five of us eating. The food was excellent, and the service was even better. I booked a family meal at Chez Mal and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The staff were friendly and attentive, in particular Jordan, Hannah, Nick and Maria who served us.
