Bread Street Kitchen & Bar - Liverpool in Liverpool

This was an extremely dissapointing experience. My partner and i were over for a weekend and decided we would plurge out on going to Gordon Ramseys restaurant in liverpool. The services was okay not what i was expecting . The starter was nice but the mains were miserable. A steak serviced with nothing but a handful of chips and watery peppercorn sauce. I had to send my first meal back due to the naan bread being hard and the dish being spicy when it was supposed to be smooth and sweet. I won’t even mention the price of the bill for what we received.

No Gluten free burgers today. Shame as love the burgers but ended up having ribs instead. Have had Gluten free burgers before here

We accidentally ate at this restaurant after thinking we ere visiting Gordon Ramsey's Street Pizza. Bets mistake ever! The staff were very welcoming, polite and helpful, and the food was amazing!! Yes thats 2 exclamation marks because our 12 year old told me it needed the second. We'll definitely be coming back for desert!

Had a lovely meal here on Wednesday night, was quiet but was welcomed, we found the staff to be pleasant and attentive. Food was fantastic. We really enjoyed our evening, and would try other Gordon Ramsey restaurants.

had fabulous experience here on Friday. Staff were absolutely lovely and made to feel welcomed and special. Food arrived promptly piping hot and delicious. Our server Alex was so nice and even rescued my husbands wallet off the floor which had accidentally fallen out of his pocket!! I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning. Really great experience.

Was booked as a treat for my partner, rather overpriced for what we got, my steak meal was literally a steak and a small pot of fries for 35 pounds. Steak was ok but nothing special. Was good but not that good.

Senior staff were unbelievable but younger staff not so much. Still a brilliant experience

They should be wearing black masks, the meal was terrible and totally overpriced. It was empty at 1.20 pm when we walked in ,I can understand why now.

I tend to be a bit wary of chain restaurants, but when at Liverpool One I thought I'd give Bread Street Kitchen a chance. I was pleasantly surprised. I have a dairy allergy and, though there are lots of items with cheese and such, I found an item that looked interesting and which the waitress said was dairy free, the poke bowl. Technically speaking, this wasn't poke at all, which is a Hawaiian fish dish. This poke was made with marinated tofu. For me, that was great. For someone expecting a real poke bowl it would be hugely disappointing. I do think that the menu should be a bit more specific about that. However, when it arrived, it was delicious. I ordered optional avocado which was lovely but unnecessary since there was an avocado puree in the dish already. An Aperol spritz completed my order and was lovely. The decor was nice - nothing fancy, but quite welcoming.

This is a place you have to try! My husband and I shared the beef wellington and it was incredible. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful - the waiter even offered to bring me a blanket so we could remain outside after the sun set! I cannot recommend more!

Walked in on Monday night around 7 pm . I asked if me & hubby could sit by the window . I was told it was only for a-la-carte dining . We were seated in the middle of the huge restaurant on our own as there was only -another 2 people sitting by the window . So instead of ordering a lovely meal & a bottle of wine we ordered a pizza to share & left . I could understand if the place was busy but only 2 other people in restaurants . We won’t be returning I really don’t think a restaurant shoukd have different parts for different standard of meals . How dare they make people feel inadequate because they don’t want a-la-carte . We should have walked straight out but hubby was really hungry .

Popped in for an unplanned lunch visit, my first time at the restaurant. First impressions were a little mixed – while we were seated promptly, the welcome felt a bit lukewarm. Maybe I was just expecting a touch more warmth or enthusiasm from the team. That said, it’s a lovely venue – stylish but relaxed – and fairly quiet given it was lunchtime. The menu was simple and straightforward, nothing overly fancy, but had enough variety for a light bite. We went for pizzas – one pepperoni and one ham & pineapple – which arrived in good time. Both were genuinely enjoyable; not quite the best I’ve ever had, but definitely above average and hit the spot nicely. The only real distraction was the small group of waiting staff in their suits gathered by the front entrance, which was just behind where we were seated – it slightly disrupted the otherwise calm vibe. All in all, I’d probably give it another go and hope for a bit more engagement from the team next time. There’s certainly potential for a great experience here.

The staff were lovely, couldn't do.enough for us. I love the fact you can scan a QR code and pay your pill at the table, without having to ask for and the wait for the bill. Essential for us today as we were in the rush.

Birthday treat for my son. Delicious food, fabulous service

My husband and I did the beef wellington experience. Absolutely phenomenal! The tamarind chicken wings and sourdough bread were so tasty, the beef wellington was delicious and the desserts were so good! I will say, the brownie with the salted caramel ice cream were the best I've ever had!

De bekende fish and chips genomen, evenals de butter chicken curry. Heerlijk! Aardig personeel met goede wijnen. Kwamen regelmatig vragen of we tevreden waren. Locatie is erg mooi en ruim opgezet. Zeker aan te bevelen, overigens is het allemaal erg casual dus normale kleding

To start off the service was okay , starter was very nice but main was abit of a let down and the steak or chips had no seasoning or even salt and pepper on the table to do it yourself. Would recommend going there just ones to say you have been but apart from that I would give it a miss. Also drinks are extremely overpriced

Had such a great time at bread Street Kitchen and bar! The vibe was relaxed, the staff were super nice, and the food hit the spot. You can tell they really care about what they’re serving. Loved the Burger! Will definitely be back soon with friends.

This place is a hidden gem! Bread Street Kitchen and bar nailed in. From the amazing food to the super friendly staff. I was practically doing a happy dance after trying the steak. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out big time. Can’t wait to come back for round two!

Great service from start to finish, helpful staff making room moving tables for us and our baby in the pram. Steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. Fish and chips had the best mushy peas I've had, fish was cooked amazing and falling apart. Will come back to try more of the menu.

I had a wonderful experience at bread Street Kitchen and bar! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. It’s clear they put a lot of care into both their service and their food. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

I feel like a lot of this restaurants popularity is due to Gordon Ramsey’s name, which means a lot to many people. I came in with my mother who had wanted to come since it had opened and although service was great, very little to criticise on that front, the food itself was sub par. You can tell the food is fresh, however it doesn’t stand out to me. We came with high expectations, and perhaps we should have known better, however we were disappointed. Pricing wise, it was definitely on the steep end based on the actual food. There’s definitely more quality for money elsewhere in Liverpool City Centre.

El restaurante es precioso y moderno y todo el personal es muy agradable y amable. No es un menú masivo y como vegetariano no hay muchas opciones. Tenía el curry y los sabores eran excepcionales. Teníamos un código para una ronda gratis de bebidas que era una buena ventaja. El personal sacó un plato precioso con feliz cumpleaños y un pastel para mi hijo. Sin duda recomendaría y volvería.

The starter portion of calamari was very small, however the tuna tartar was great. For mains the burger was overcooked (they didn’t ask how we wanted it cooked) and the deserts whilst expensive were disappointing. The brownie was underwhelming and the sundae was also poor. There was also a 12 1/2 percent service charge (which was optional) but if it’s optional why add it to the bill. We would have preferred to leave a tip commensurate with the quality and service, we could have asked that the service charge was removed but it was a little awkward.

Come on Mr G Ramsey!! We eat burger and it was the driest burger we have ever tasted! We got the burger and fries and asked for mayo or ketchup we have been charge 2£ for that!! What a shame experience :( :( :( This place is so expensive and simply bad :( this restaurant need attention from your team mr Ramsey.

Had the most amazing evening! Roberto, Artur, Alex and Sorin looked after us and made sure we had the best time! We had the Beef Wellington and it was honestly so good! We will be back soon!

Was charged twice for a salad and glass and wine, was told my card hadn’t worked. So paid again. Went home realised the mistake, waited two weeks to see if the payment would be returned. However, realised the I had in fact been charged twice. Contact the restaurant via email. However, no reply… so ended up paying almost £70 for one glass of wine and a salad …

We went for small birthday event for my niece. The layout is very nice. Reception is very professional. Waiting staff were lovely. The wait for food was very acceptable and the food was spot on for all of us. we would happily return.

Wellovercooked pie 6 pieces of tiny steak chunks in the filling, After moving from the upstairs to get better food it was appaling. Didn't eat 90% of it. Wouldn't recommend if your a food lover.

Food was nice but steak & ale pie looked mass produced rather than homemade and the portion was small for the £21 price. Whole meal was fine but expensive for what it was. Service was really good tho.

We were happy to find a table in the evening. Ribs were excellent, fish and chips great and huge pirtion and if you like to end with something sweet try the brownie served with ice cream.

I have never reviewed a restaurant but I thought I should on this occasion. This was the worst meal I have had in years. Ordered the flat iron steak and it was so chewy and tasteless. I got 6 chips on the plate. The waiter never came over to our table to ask if our meal was ok (unusual). I complained about the steak when the dishes were being taken away. When the bill was produced I again had to complain about the steak, and at that point they removed it from the bill. I had high expectations of this restaurant but it was a disappointing afternoon. I left the restaurant hungry.

I've been there a bunch of times and it's always amazing food and amazing experience for me and my family. I have to mention Sorin who's always in a good mood to help and chat and make the experience all the more fantastic.

We ordered fish and they had run out, only us 2 and 2 other tables in, we payed with a voucher that was a Christmas gift and the staff at the till was very " thanks and goodbye" in fact when she took the payment she just walked off and left us at the till, just watched Gordon on johnathan ross show saying how great his restaurants are but the 1 in Liverpool as shocking

We went here on 16th Feb 2025. The food was absolutely spot on. Very tasty. The service was amazing from staff, very professional. Especially Aleks who served us. She provided a wonderful service.

Went here for Beef Wellington after a Paternity leave marathon of Kitchen Nightmares. Now feel like Gordon is a hypocrite. They didn't have half of the small menu, including the Beef Wellington we went for (at 13:30 on a Monday). Fish had a bone in it, the steak i ordered was rare not medium and the meat was inedible (full of gristle). The waitress was great but the two waiters need to learn how to smile (especially the short one). Chips are great though.

Called in for a burger after theatre the place was empty! My sister and I expected to have really tasty burgers considering the name on the door.However my burger was disappointingly dry and bland.Shame as the place looks so nice.

Fantastic meal, phenomenal price!!! We were seated on time, complimentary cocktail and starter served within 10 minutes, main served at 29 minutes of being seated. Perfection all round, the food as expected was an extremely high standard!

Lovely meal here on Christmas Eve with family. We were looked after by Artur who was fantastic. The beef wellington is to die for. Would 100% recommend!

Came here for my birthday meal and from start to finish our experience was amazing! We was served by the lovely Alex (from the bar) who couldn’t do enough for us. I am currently 5 months pregnant she was so attentive and asked the chef many questions that we had regarding how the food was prepared etc. She made conversation and knew it was birthday to which she had the chef write not only happy birthday but my age too with a complementary dessert! We also got the chocolate Sundae dessert which was also an amazing experience in itself. Would highly recommend this restaurant the food was amazing, Could not fault a thing!

After two, I come back for the second try. As you all know, I was not impressed with my visit. This i am seriously delighted to be warmly welcomed by the new manager, well presented and considered about my choices and my taste. His name is Arthur, and that was the start of the 5-star gastronomic experience. We had a warm and crispy, freshly backed bread and accompanied CauliflowerVeloute and for the main Flat iron steak, which was incredibly soft and tender. Melting in the mouth. As my good friend had a tasty and soflry cooked sea bream,. I am delighted to come back and give 5 star wel deserved review. It is always my intention to help promote our local business and fairness, sincererity, and honesty

Popped in for dinner. Service was good and the restaurant was busy with a nice vibe and atmopshere however the food wasn't great. My wife had the burger which she said was nice, as were the chips. I ordered the chicken and leek pie and found it quite bland and the pastry undercooked. It came served on top of mash which, if you took off the pie, was probably a pretty small amount. The gravy was watery and it really needed a few greens to go with it. For £20, I expected more. We had brownies for dessert which were fine but I've had plenty of better ones. Overall, a bit of a let down and we wouldn't return.

Upon arrival we were welcomed warmly with excellent service, and our waitress made the experience very enjoyable. The food arrived in good time and was one of the best meals I’ve had in a while.

All round good experience dining here for a quick lunch stop off, it is January and so it was very quiet which gave a lack of atmosphere which is hard to tackle given the time of year & day. But nonetheless I would highly recommend, service was great also.

11 of us went here for Christmas day and it was fabulous. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were all very attentive and friendly..It's the first time we have tried this restaurant and definitely won't be the last. Well done everyone for providing a very enjoyable day. Would also like to say the price was very reasonable.

We went there for a birthday dinner just after Christmas and really enjoyed it! The food was great, there weren't too many people in the restaurant on that day and our waitress Alex did an amazing job! Our favourite food was the burrata as a starter – can recommend and would come again!

I went to the BSK in Liverpool for the Sunday roast. The meal was ok but was very standard (and quite bland) - it was very overpriced for what it was. There was also far too little gravy meaning the roast was very dry

Food was a disappointment. Had the Roasted Cod, fish and chips, pasta, steak, burger and some sides. Roasted corn and the chips was the only items worth saying anything positive about. Leaving now to get some real food. Very disappointing.

Freezing cold and had to us a winther jacket during the eating. A very dry and overcooked hamburger was a big disappointment. Expected a lot more when the owner is one of my favorite chefs. Next time we go to Gino A.

Treated myself and some managers to the Beef Wellington Experience for Christmas. Found the food to be tasteless and extremely overpriced. The Beef was the same quality as a Fray Bentos pie and the potato reminded me of school smash potato. Also found everything to be bland and missing basic seasoning. The service was good just wish the cooking and quality of the ingredients was the same. If you want a quality meal that's cheaper go to Hawksmoor. Never again.
