I had an amazing meal at Zer Restaurant,The Middle Eastern flavors were spot-on—delicious chicken in yoghurt, creamy hummus, and crispy falafel that hit all the right notes. The semolina cake was a sweet standout. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the cozy vibe made it even better. A must-try for anyone who loves great food.

We shared Mezze (falafel, the aubergine dip, hallumi / Turkish sausage and prawn) and the chicken with yoghurt and herbs. Everything was absolutely delicious (my favorite was the aubergine dip). Service was very friendly and accommodating. We‘ll be back!

I was there last night with a very dear friend. It was our 2nd. visit and.nothing has changed the food was delicious and the warm welcome and service could not have been better....to finish off the meal, the semolina cake is supreme this is an exceptional place, looking forward to our next viisit already.

Stumbled across this place by chance and had a delicious meal - all the ates were excellent. Great vibe, very welcoming staff and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Little gem of Dalston, warm, cosy… Home cooked, well curated, less known mezes of Mesopotamia, Eastern Mediterranean. Certainly a testament to colors and strong women of homeland.

The food was decent but for the price, you’d expect rice or bread to be included with the mains. We had Kashke Bademjan, Chicken in Yoghurt, Lamb Tagine, Veg Moussaka, Bulgur, Rice, and Turkish Coffee. While everything tasted nice, it was surprising that mains didn’t come with any rice or bread, especially considering the price. Portion sizes—particularly the protein—felt a bit small for the cost. A bit pricey for what you get overall.

Lovely staff, we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

I've had dinner with friends this week, and the homemade Middle Eastern fusion menu was difficult to choose from when we ordered Moroccan Tagine. Chicken in yoghurt and vegetable mosuakka was divine, had yummy food 😋 very welcoming, cosy little restaurant.

Seriously excellent food and service, a truly wonderful meal. The margaritas were fab, the food flavours were zingy and fresh, the service was perfect. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone, a hidden treasure.

The service was fast and the quality was top notch. The prices are also quite reasonable for this level of service. The waiting time in the comfortable customer area was quick and I was pleasantly surprised with the result.

Attentive service, delicious dishes. My only regret is I haven’t tried more of the menu yet. The moussaka was hearty, the avocado hummus creamy and both well paired with the house bread.

This place in one of Dalston’s jems. Home-made food. Best rice in the area. The chicken is AMAZING and the meatballas are outnof this world. Very warming and homely food.

Such a warm, friendly welcome 🙏 followed by lovely and plentiful drinks (beer and wine), absolutely delicious food and the best service. We had avocado humus with bread as a shared starter, followed by fish stew and prawn tagine...both main courses were exceptional and followed by a piece of freshly baked semolina cake. I can't recomend highly enough. Great value. Thankyou.

Went in early December. Service was quick and everyone was nice and there was a nice atmosphere. My girlfriend and I felt really let down by the food, we had the tagines. Take it with a pinch of salt since we’ve not eaten a lot of tagines but we both found it a bit lacking in flavour. That being said, could have been a great tagine but just not aligned with our palettes.

It had been on my list of places I wanted to try for a long time, but I hadn't been able to make a reservation on the weekends. I finally tried it and it was worth the wait. The harmony of the spices, the delicious food, the professionalism of the service, the warmth of the atmosphere were very good, and when I learned that it was a women's business and that all the employees were women, I was even more impressed. Well done.

It is a very nice restaurant, a different atmosphere, the food, especially the chicken with yoghurt and the lamb tagine were delicious, I will always recommend it. Thanks to all the staff.

A Hidden Gem for Middle Eastern Cuisine I recently had the pleasure of dining at zer kitchen, and I can confidently say it's one of the best Middle Eastern dining experiences I've had in a long time. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance transported me straight to the heart of the Middle East — warm, inviting, and full of character.

We had the cold meze - it was all delicious and the pea tahini was a particular highlight. We’d also highly recommend the semolina cake!

I saw this restaurant on an influencer page and wanted to try it for so long! I saw a video of them making the Syrian lamb dish with sour cherries. It was honestly so so good! The prices reflect the high service and standards for food. We also tried the chicken yogurt dish and it was also really nice. I would definitely come back again for the same dishes. I highly recommend!

Delicious, excellent service, lovely atmosphere

Such a wonderful experience with even better food. Holya is particularly lovely. Highlights were roasted red pepper mezze and the cauliflower amongst every other dish we ordered. Will definitely come back!

Great middle east restaurant, bit pricey in my opinion but worth to try the food there

We had a lovely time at Zer! The service and food were simply amazing and there were loads of vegan options, too. The hummus definitely was among the best I‘ve ever had.

Walked in after a night out near by and I'm so happy we did! The service was great, the place was spotless! Having been to turkey I felt like my friends mum was cooking for me all over again. Aubergine starter was a delight, the lamb was melting in my mouth and the veg fritters perfectly seasoned...I recommend it !!! We will definitely be back. It's an address to save! Thank you to the whole team...a meal I'm not going to forget!

Heja was amazing, all the food was incredible and we could always trust her for recommendations and questions. Everything was delicious and the people were so welcoming, I specifically recommend the yougurt chicken!

The three of us went for dinner in this little gem of Dalston and were welcomed by the lovely Heja! We usually struggle finding quality gluten-free options, but this wasn’t the case: we tried the Hummus, Falafel and Lamb Tagine, which was an explosion of flavourful smell and tastes! The lamb was tenderly executed and the sauce had absorbed all the notes of cinnamon, apricot and plum, making it an incredible blend of tastes. I definetely recommend going there if you’re looking for a cosy, warm and tasty experience! Also very fair prices for the portions. I’ll definitely visit again!

Super lovely place! The food was delicious - great range of vegetarian and meat options, and super fun mix of cuisines. We got the roasted aubergine and the chickpea stew and they were both delicious! They came with steaming bread and some hummus we ordered, all yummy! What a feast.

Had an amazing time with my friends this evening. Quite a small quiet restaurant and the service was the best part of the experience. Hulya and Heja did an amazing job, very welcoming and made us feel like home. We'll be back for sure. And of course food was great as well!

A really tough one to leave a review for and I'll explain why. The food tastes authentic and is of a good quality. The service is great - we felt well looked aftered by the waitresses who were very pleasant and attentive. It's the price to portion ratio which heavily reduces the score. To pay £15 for a small bowl of stew and get no rice (£4 extra) is to me a day light robbery. We spent £30 on two mezzes and recieved 8 olive seed size dishes with 2 small pieces on each. I actually felt offended as a person of middle eastern descent to recieve such obnoxiously small portions when we are known for our generosity when it comes to food.

So fabulous, really wonderful gem of a place. amazing interior and even better food. i recommend the lamb tagine with the roasted aubergine, bulgar wheat, Shepards salad and pickles. Service was also great. thank you Hulya and the rest of the team for the great experience💚also good vegetarian options.

Came here on a Wednesday night and it wasn’t packed but the vibe was great. Had the lamb stew which was so tender and so delicious and also the aubergine which I would really recommend. Will definitely be coming back 😇

Had a Turkish house red and a falafel wrap with humous and sald and it came to under £18. Service was super-efficient and friendly. Sadly I had a gig next door so it was only going to be a quick stop. I was taken care of as their was a prior reservation but I assured I would be quick and I left before the reseervation time was due. I really appreciate the efficient service and extremely tasty food. I was almost back in the Middle East again!

The food was so insanely good!!! I cannot recommend this place more! Everything we ate was absolutely delicious and if we are back up this way we will definitely be back! Also the whole vibe was really chilled and comforting and the staff were super nice.

Terrible service. They offer the vouchers but then they do not accept them. As a result, I wasted lots of time. I will definitely not visit again as they do not respect customers at all. Update: in their response, the restaurant lied about the voucher being out of date. The voucher was still valid with the expiry date in the mid October. I also had to spend lots of time trying to get a refund.

Came here for dinner last night. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, very cosy and comfortable. The food was delicious and very fresh. There are lots of vegetarian and vegan options available too. The Turkish wine we had was lovely! Hulya served us - she is very kind and helpful! I will be sure to visit again next time I’m in the area - highly recommend!

Me and my friend had a fabulous time at Zer Middle East Kitchen last night - the food was delicious and arrived quickly, and the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly - particularly Heja who went over and above to make sure we were taken care of. Definitely recommend the halloumi wrap!

I visited Zer Kitchen with a friend yesterday night around 10 pm and unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. From the start, the service was terrible. The person who took our order was incredibly rude and made us feel unwelcome. To make things worse, before their official closing time, she began taking our plates away while they were still full, without giving us any heads-up or even politely informing us that they were about to close. A simple courtesy would have gone a long way, but sadly, that wasn’t the case. Overall, we left feeling disappointed and disrespected. I hope the restaurant can improve their customer service moving forward.

A wonderful little restaurant with a big heart: very friendly, welcoming atmosphere and a kitchen that is able to rustle up the most delicious food. The restaurant offers an interesting menu that combines familiar delights of middle eastern cuisine (hummus, falafel etc) with some tasty fireworks for the tastebuds. The Moong Dhal was one such dhal-ights. Excellent. 👌

Super friendly staff and great food!

We had such a lovely meal here recently during a summer evening. Our server, Hulya, was so lovely and gave us some great recommendations. We had the roasted peppers, halloumi (the nicest I’ve ever had in London), chicken in yogurt and the roasted cauliflower in tahini. Great food, lovely service - would recommend.

Authentic middle eastern restaurant with tables spilling out into the street give Zer a lively atmosphere. Owner and staff were warm and inviting, adjusting the tables so we could fit in with our kids and a dog. The food was all delicious with the kids wanting more

Stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. Their kitchen was closing yet sensing our desperation and the gleam of our hungry eyes they welcomed us in like family. The chicken with yogurt was sublime as was the vegetarian moussaka. All in alll such a treat. Thank you so much !!

Impressed by the positive reviews, we decided to have dinner in the restaurant. We left the place a little bit disappointed. When we saw the size of the main dishes, it is small given the price they charge for it. The free bread which comes with the main dishes was little for two person, so we had to order a side additionally. The taste and service was ok; the atmosphere was good.
