Nice cozy trendy looking restaurant with outside seating area. Food is lovely & tasty, staff are pleasant & polite. It's just such a shame that Nandos wasn't more reasonably priced!

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and customers at this restaurant, especially Preston the manager . Without going into detail , the support received from everyone on Saturday 20/4/24 was absolutely phenomenal when my daughter had an accident outside . They all deserve recognition for their help and again, another huge thank you from me and my family . 🙏

I order 1/4 chicke just 30 mints ago and I paid £18.38 for one peace of ckicken and small rise . The didn’t put any fries . They supposed to have it on menu . And no sauce cuz I paid for it 1.56 ? It was horrible order even had

I've been a nandos customer for over 20 yrs and after taking my daughter and sister for a birthday treat was terrible I get it that they need save money on trying to serve all the food cooked but if its dried up and frazzled don't do it nandos !! We pay very good money for the food you serve and deserve it fresh !! You know the deal when they come and take your stick away after asking if the foods OK Well I said it wasn't it was not good at all it was dry and over cooked he said is there anything we can do is said this is the the worst I've had !! He said let me see what I can do then disappeared!!!! I cant see me spending my money in there again to be honest After 24 plus years

Been to Nando’s today for dinner with family, our waitress, Liz, was such a lovely lady. Very attentive and helpful. Went above and beyond. Best server I’ve ever had at Nando’s! The food was great! All the staff were amazing but Liz is one of a kind.

My first Nando’s! I got the grilled chicken pitta with smoky churrasco sauce and grilled halloumi. Was incredibly nice and the chicken was juicy. However the sauce was slightly hotter than I expected ahaha. Would definitely get again though.

The experience was let down because the table we were sat at caught the draught from the door, which was freezing. There were other tables away from the door

Its ok place looks nice was cozy service was good the chiken needed a bit more flavor the rice was a little dry the salad was ok little bit pricey but a guess that's resturent prices

Good staff, prompt service, great food. Weary after a day on the beer watching Newcastle play Luton. Manager very polite and explained how recent closure of the cinema had affected business. We wish them luck and hope they continue to trade.

As a South african, the difference in the Portions sizes is big. You get a very small amount of food for the price you pay. The food is still good, and service is via the app when dining in, but it was fast, and have friendly staff

Went here today, Staff are absolutely lovely, it’s a very good atmosphere (as you are greeted arriving and then thanked for visiting, when leaving), seems like a lovely place to work, food arrived faster than we were expecting and it was stress free ordering through the app.

Jess is polite, enthusiastic to help - e nsure we got everything we need. She even brought us glass and went for to filled it with water and brought back to our table. These little things has massive impact to our dining experience. Knowing we are well accomodated. All staff are friendly and accomodating, specially the gentleman who is in charge. Very approachable.

Good service and the food was absolutely brilliant. Toilets were clean and the only criticism was the booths weren’t as clean as they could have been

We were in Sunderland looking for a quick bite to eat before travelling home. On entering we were met by a nice man that took us to our table. The restaurant is very poorly maintained with the cushions on the booth seats taped up, there was also a strange smell in there too. The food was normal Nandos and nothing wrong with it. The ladies toilet sink wasn't working so people had to come out of the toilets and wash their hands in the middle of the restaurant after touching the toilet doors, yuck. Needs an upgrade.

Really friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Staff were friendly and attentive, getting us anything we needed.

Don't know if we caught Nando's on a busy day, but the garlic bread was soggy. The coke machine was off and was put on too late ( I had finished my meal) No salt or pepper on the tables. My chicken was put on my granddaughters plate. Apart from that the girl behind the counter was lovely and friendly, but won't be going back in a hurry.

I had a sunset burger meal and my partner had a lemon and herb wrap meal. The chips were fresh, even after a drive home, as we did a take away. The restaurant was dark and noisy, so that was why we opted for the take out. Will most definitely order from them again. The young lady helping us was really very pleasant.

We opted for takeaways due to the amount of people already there making it hard to have a conversation. If we had stayed, I would have liked to have seen more lighting as I found it fairly dark, especially as it was midday. I had a chicken lemon and herb wrap meal, while my partner had a Sunset burger meal. Both were juicy and full of flavour. The chips were not your typical fast food type being thicker, tasting good and still still warm after a 30 minute drive home. The lady taking our order was friendly and helpful and our order arrived quickly. Definitely worth the drive there.

Food was very nice, I enjoyed it. Ordered in store to take away due to having allergies. Its much better ordering allergen-free food with the managers in Nandos now, as they tend to be very attentive in each branch. Just thought the decor was a bit dark and old with uncomfy seating, so I personally wouldn't choose to sit in... but I will order to take out from here a lot :)

Didn't eat here because half the menu wasn't available and the manager spoke to two members if staff appallingly infront of us.

Food was superb today, I took my disabled mother for some lunch, we were served by Liz who took great care asking my mother if there was anything she needed, other members of the team where also so supportive and held open doors for her wheelchair. I did not expect to find this high level of service in a nandos restaurant, but kudos to liz and the team, we will be back again. Thanks again to all the staff for making this a great experience.

Nando is one of my go-to restaurants. Great food and services for people that like spicy food. You won't regret eating in Nandos, trust me!!

Was a bit of a wait for a table as it was a busy time of night, staff kept us updated with wait times and ended up getting a table quicker than we thought, ordered through the app using QR codes on the table. Food was served quick and tasted amazing

Took ages to receive food ordered on the app then told it would be 12 minutes 30 mins later had to ask to find out it hadn't been started

Great restaurant with friendly staff, food arrived speedily and well presented. Staff were careful to check about any allergies when taking my order which is very good. A good Nandos franchise in our area.

Fab meal. I wasn't too keen on going as once had an allergic reaction to the lowest heat sauce, but this time had mushroom and halloumi pitta with sides of mash and spicy grains with butternut - it was all delicious!! Staff were very attentive and great fun

This is worst chicken I’ve ever had in my life completely tasteless when I ordered what was suppose to be the most spiciest one? They have no idea what spices actually are. the service here was terrible & disorganized we were in line for a long time which the entrance is so small and uncomfortable. I won’t be going to this entire chain ever again.Can’t believe anyone likes this & it isn’t shut down.

I'm only giving it a 4 because I used the extra extra hot sauce and it was actually nothing at all needs to be hotter food was amazing got a chicken burger and peri peri chips.

Halloumi was swimming in grease and had a hair in it, chicken was cold and dry, chips were soggy and cold, and it took 2 hours to arrive on a Tuesday night. Will never order from here again.

Chicken was burnt. Understand chargrilled but this was black. Ruined the rest of the meal. I didn’t bring anything up as the restaurant was busy from the Sunderland match but I wish I had now as they’d have probably make a fresh one. I added in two photos for comparison in case anyone thought i was being dramatic

For 2nd time in a week, they have switched off order online, when called up they took my order until manager in back ground said were are not taking orders at the moment. Nandos need to sort out its staff issues

Unfortunately, I didn't get the right food as I ordered online! Instead of chicken leg, I got the chicken breast! Also, the chips were super sulty & we couldn't eat them. I'm not coming back there.

Generally the restaurant is very clean. I specifically thanked liz, she's everywhere to help, gentle and smile all over her face

Went here on Saturday 11/11/22 Half chicken overcooked,they did change it, chicken wings and sides ok. But the restaurant was extremely cold not conducive to a pleasant atmosphere especially with top coat on.

My friend and I went to visit nandos in sunderland and was very impressed. I dont know who cooked our food at 14:30 on the eve of halloween but they made our food bussin. WILL be back and thoroughly enjoyed. much love. Kez and Con

Jack, what an incredible guy! A lovely server, greeted us at the door, managed to squeeze us in a booth despite being busy, and of course the food is incredible! 10/10 experience :) come here all the time and it's always great

The food was amazing and so was the customer service, a member of staff named Daniella ( going off memory ) helped me familiarize the atmosphere of the establishment and allowed me to enjoy the experience thoroughly.

This is my favourite branch because I like the decor here and it's nestled in the corner of the town. It has a nice vibe after seeing a movie ect. The chicken is always done to the same standard everytime. Visit ed first time by a friend and myself. Something's can't be duplicated.

I was gutted that the vegetarian options had changed. I was however pleasantly surprised, the bean burger was fab and I’d definitely order it again. I have visited this Nando’s restaurant several times and the staff are always friendly and welcoming.

I normally love this restaurant, but I am absolutely appalled after today. I was in the toilet and just watched one of the waitresses use the toilet and leave without washing her hands. I walked out the toilet only moments later and she was cleaning tables, clearly hadn’t washed her hands elsewhere. This is atrocious. Staff need full hygiene training if this is the case. How is this deemed acceptable when you are dealing with someone’s food? Very disappointed. Side note: I also smiled at the same staff member as she came out the toilet. She did not seem impressed that I had smiled at her. It’s a shame I’ve even had to write this as I bet the majority of staff are not like this, however management need to be aware of staff members are doing things like this.

Really good dining out experience. Went with a group of 6 and we really enjoyed the meal. Only down side was it took a while to get served but they explained they were short of staff on the day. It was a Sunday

Slow service. Freezing in there. Food sat on the hot plate longer than I'd like. Had to ask where the drinks were 15 minutes after order. Tasty, though.

Avoid like the plague! We stopped off at nandos after a day shopping in Sunderland, we had our two kids with us and I needed to use the bathroom, the ladies bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Both toilets were filthy. The booth we sat at had an awful smell...it was basically dirty. The food was just basic...four chicken pittas, chips and cokes came to £54, the manager of this restaurant needs to close for a day and give it a deep clean.

We had lunch at Sunderland's Nandos after my daughter's graduation ceremony. I am not used to the ubiquitoes flour and sugar mix but my wife and daughter enjoyed their food, which however took some time to come. Nandos is located in the City Centre and has a spacious place that accommodates many 'hungry' people at once

Just popped in for dinner after a busy and stressful day was greeted by a member of staff (Caitlin) who welcomed us with a warm smile and I was asked where we would like to sit while ordering food I was given a choice of beers I asked what one she would recommend and went with her beer of choice which was to a good. Food arrived in a timely manner and the food was standard but not amazing again severed by Caitlin again who seemed to be non stop yet asked us if there was anything else we needed. After enjoying our meal on leaving we were given a lovely good bye and thank you for coming again by Caitlin who was still busy. Standard meal made better with service.

On walking in we were greeted by a friendly member of staff. We ordered food using the app and didn’t have a long wait which was good. The food was great. Another member of staff came to check how the meal was and made polite passing chit chat. I couldn’t fault the food or staff but the place seemed a little dark and drab compared to other Nando’s I have visited.

I just want to pass on, what great customer service Liz has, very attentive and chatty, she’s a great addition to your team. Thanks Liz

The worst nandos I have ever had, I ordered a chicken wrap, which came cold, after eating half of my wrap I opened it up, to notice the lettuce was covered in mould! I told the “manager” about this issue, her response was “doesn’t look good” she offered me fresh, but obviously I was put off as I had just been serviced mouldy food, so I asked for a refund instead, she states she doesn’t know if she can give me a refund for this issue??? After a while of me asking why, I was given a £10 gift voucher, and no refund, even though I originally paid £8 for my meal!!

Popped in for dinner around 7pm a few nights ago. Not a single member of staff wearing a face mask, no one asking incoming customers to wear one. Very little covid-safe cleaning practices going on: sauce bottles moving from table to table without being wiped, no hand sanitiser in sight anywhere, staff without masks moving between tables. We waited 20 mins for a table for 2, table wasn't cleaned at all from last customers when we sat down, staff not happy when asked if they could wipe it down, even when they did the floor was covered in food which is disgusting. Food took over 45 mins to arrive which is bad for Nando's, when it did my chicken was dry & overcooked, my partners food was cold. Loads out of stock too, all round bad experience. I love Nando's but this is the worst one ive ever been too, avoid at all costs.
