Tony Macaroni in South Lanarkshire

Awful! Do not go here,the food was terrible,our pizza was cold when it arrived,cheap chopped ham and the mozzarella tasted like dairylea cheese. It also took 1 hour 45 minutes for 1 course. We had visited here a number of years ago and the food wasn’t great however decided to give it a go after a lot of Facebook advertising about 50% off in February. I phoned the restaurant to book however I was advised I needed to book online which I duly did using the 50% off offer. Unfortunately I didn’t enter the code as I thought given I’d booked through the discount page that it had been applied. We were presented with a full price bill and the manager refused to give us the 50% off initially however after a stressful conversation with her she finally said that they would do the discount but told us perhaps this isn’t the restaurant for us! Don’t waste your hard earned money on this place.

First time ever visiting a Tony Macaroni establishment, and pleased to say I wasn't disappointed. The staff were fantastic, especially Johnathan our host and Eilidh our server. Johnathan was very friendly and welcoming, and once the banter started flowing between us was very funny. Eilidh was very professional and attentive, but not overly to the point of hovering unnecessarily. As soon as we needed anything at all though she was right there, and even anticipated me "needing" the Tiramisu desert I was swithering over after feeling so stuffed from the first two courses haha. Food was excellent, and I highly recommend the Pollo Fritto starter, which I'll definitely be organising another visit for! Excellent reviews all round for my first time here. Plenty of options on the menu to come back for and try. Looking forward to my next visit.

We used to enjoy going to TM EK for a family meal out on a regular basis however we won’t be returning. This evening was the worst experience I have had yet. Food is nowhere near as good as it used to be, chewy reheated pizza and chips bought in. Our order was wrong, it was rectified but no apology. We gave up waiting for our desserts and went to the desk to pay. Service is slow. No one asked if there was any issue with our meal. I then had to stand in a queue and wait some time to pay my bill and the female manager didn’t acknowledge our wait, barely made eye contact, didn’t ask how our meal was and didn’t acknowledge when my card payment had gone through she simply stepped to the side of the desk without saying a word and took out her phone and ignored us as we walked out and left.

Having had a meal there last week, we took our daughter, grandchildren and my elderly mother-in-law for dinner. Totally different from last week's experience. Asked for Iron Bru, didn't have any. Asked for a milk shake, didn't have any ice cream for it, although they did have ice cream for dessert). Pizza wasn't particularly hot, and was very greasy. Garlic bread was hard. Lasagne wasn't as good as last week. Chips aren't very good, and obviously bought in. My mother-in-law has had meals at the Silverburn branch a number of times, and she commented the food was better there. Won't be going back, and wouldn't recommend.

Pathetic place waited hours for our food which was cold.Then waited 40 mins for dessert only to be told we couldn't get it as they couldn't get it from the kitchen given a £20.00 voucher as an apology think they couldn't cope with the number of diners won't be back

Great staff.the actual pace was freezing,asked and got told that the heated was on...all other diners had there jackets on...my favorite tony macaronis. But will be trying elsewhere

Dark and noisy. Italian food with Asian(?) music??? Not very well lit so seeing what was being eaten was an 'adventure' The lift from the car park was decidedly dodgy on the way in so on the way out we used the outdoor stairway which was poorly lit up. The staff / customer service was acceptable bordering on lax and not really caring, meaning long waits - especially waiting for our bill. The food was OK but not exceptional. Extensive menu and reasonable a la carte menu pricing. Not as good as our previous visits.

We haven’t been to Toni Macaroni in a few years as the service was so rude. But friends booked here for a night out so we thought we’d give it another try. The first table we were shown to was at the door, and was freezing cold every time the main door opened. We asked to be moved and despite a half empty restaurant this took a long time to sort out. There were 7 of us - 4 adults and 3 children. Drinks orders were continually wrong - especially with different wines being mixed up. I ordered an alcohol free beer only to be told there were none. However later on in the evening the same beers were delivered to another table. So I’m not sure why I didn’t receive one! They seemed to be out of a lot of items of food but the servers weren’t aware meaning our order had to be changed numerous times. A pizza that had been ordered with additional toppings came without. However the worst bit was that the service - while pleasant - was unbelievably slow. It took us 3 and a half hours from start to finish for our meal. By the time we had our main courses we had all gone past the point of hunger. This was despite a table who had arrived after us getting their three courses of dinner quicker than it took our main course to arrive. Where service was extremely prompt was in delivering the bill!! Unfortunately we had been charged for items we didn’t receive and items we hadn’t ordered, and overall we had been overcharged to the tune of £70. All in all it was an awful experience. While the food was nice the service was so terrible we definitely will not be back.

Perhaps the worst restaurant experience I've ever had saved by a brilliant waiter called Johnathon who was an absolute credit to this restaurant. We didn't receive any apology from management and we waited over 1.30 mins for food and we only ordered mains. We booked for 7pm and didn't get our meals until 8.45 I also had my two year old toddler with us as we were celebrating her cousins 18th birthday. She was the last to be served her food. We had to wait a long time for drinks and my wine came after I had to rush my meal as we had to Leave quickly due to one of my family members starting working. Didn't expect to be waiting so long. The lovely Johnathon was very attentive and apologetic about the food being so slow however we would have appreciated a senior to speak to us. I have been to this restaurant many times in the past but I can say that I will now never be back again after tonight. It was a disgrace. I wish the waiter Johnathan well and I would love to have him as waiter again but it won't ever be at this restaurant. If I could give 0/5 I would.
