Delicious breakfast in the sun on the roof terrace - great options for vegans and veggies, and dog friendly dining too, perfect.

Always been truly impressed not only by the staff but the incredible location directly overlooking the sea. Split over two floors with a wonderful roof terrace and front and rear garden areas, it is without doubt the best venue for live music in Worthing. If you have never experienced Coast I can't recommend it enough.

Coast Cafe is a hidden gem. The food was affordable and good, and we had a great view of ocean from our table.

Nice outdoor seating with views of the sea and Brighton.

Usually love coming here. Had to leave before even being served today as the queue at the bar wasn’t moving, 5 staff working and some seemed to be too busy talking to the kitchen about till issues rather than getting people served once the issue had been sorted. Waited 15 minutes in the queue before deciding to give up.

Did not have food, only snacks. Nice beer and aperol spritis. Lovely staff and highly recommend.

Was disgusted with the price of a bottle of sauvignon blanc,£31. 300% mark up on shop price. Unfortunately it spoilt a great afternoon because it has a great atmosphere.

Perfect sunny Sunday morning in Worthing, fab beachfront cafe location, perfect for a morning coffee - what could possibly go wrong ! ! We ordered three coffees . . . but weren’t told there was a 20 waiting time, we were only told this 15 minutes in when we questioned a waitress about our order. How can it take so long to produce three coffees ? To add insult to injury our “regular” size coffees were in the smallest stingiest “regular” size cups we’ve ever seen - the coffee was good but the decaff oatmilk cappuccino was just bland and tasteless. The waiting time was longer than the actual drinking time - we could have walked into town to Costa and be sat down with our generously sized regular coffees well within the 20 minutes. On a positive note, the breakfasts that were being served looked really good, just get the hot drinks organised. . . and upgrade your coffee cups.

We love Coast cafe. We have seen it evokve since it's furst opening until now. They do the best Bacon butties! It's always lively though sometimes the queue is a pain but great for chilling in the evening. Dog and kid friendly and a good diverse music venue. As a member of the volunteer group in adjacent Denton Gardens we all really appreciate the coffee donation we get on gardening days! Thank you onward and up! 😁

Coast has food menus next to the hatch outside and over the cycle lane in the other seating area. However you can’t order food from the hatch and have to queue inside. This isn’t clear and resulted in some upset children. It would be good if they either take food orders outside or simply indicate that you have to order food inside as the queues for both were large

Currently sat at the cafe and I’m completely shocked with how this cafe operates. Firstly, the menus have obviously never been cleaned as they are covered in filthy left over food and dirt. I had to wash my hands after using them. I was then greeted by a toilet which had never been cleaned. Secondly, I ordered some food from the lunch menu at 12:15 (Menu says lunch from midday). I was told that the kitchen has closed until 1pm due to a back log from breakfast. How is this good for a business? Turning away a long Que of people, loosing money, because the cafe has a poor process flow. There was plenty of people working in the kitchen in comparison to the numbers within the restaraunt. Makes no sense. Thirdly, staff were miserable and barely cracked a smile. An awful cafe, do not recommend. Plenty more places along the seafront to go to!

Went there on a Friday night. So refreshing not to have to go into town for a drink and a dance. Excellent venue being on the beach, great on a summers evening.

We came down to coast cafe for a late breakfast due to its ideal location. Plentiful choices which were delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and all was going well until we left. As we were leaving, some knives had fallen on the floor prior to us using the exit, to which someone (possibly the owner given some previous reviews read on here) was attending to. As we walked out, he aggressively and sarcastically snarled “yeah don’t worry” at my girlfriend like she was responsible for throwing them on the floor!? What was his problem!? If that’s your attitude towards customers then perhaps this isn’t the industry for you! It put a real downer on what was otherwise a lovely morning out

We only stayed for a coffee, friendly staff all good.

When we visited for the first time for breakfast we waited a very long time for our food to come out. The waiter gave us a card with a free coffee to apologise. So we decided to go again. We went second time, waited in the queue for 5 minutes when we got to the bar at 11.46 we have been told we can’t order from the breakfast menu as it’s too late. So we have ordered from the lunch menu to baps with breakfast things in them. When we sat down the waiter came over to say the kitchen have to clear up after breakfast so they won’t be starting our baps for another 20 minutes. When the food arrived in a takeaway box I was very surprised. I think they are lucky with the location otherwise they would not have any customers.

Rude staff unable to listen to a simple order. Will never return. Avoid at all costs. My mistreatment here today reduced me to tears.

If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely terrible customer service.

Sadly, v slow service. The fish n chips were totally cold. I didn’t bother sending back as I suspect it would be even slower the second time around ! A shame but I won’t be back.

Cool bar on the seafront. Hosts house music events every weekend. Lost a star for the expensive bar prices and not serving real ale. 🙂

I love this place for it's late night music, and mostly smiley friendly ravers. But what's the deal with staff these days? These guys don't look happy and seem to want to close up asap. This vibe transmits and is a downer. Reckon they need a pay rise and a reminder that the job is in 'hospitality'?Anyway, I'll keep coming for now cos it can still be the best place in town.

My husband & I visit Coast Cafe on a regular basis and are always greeted with open arms and love from everyone working there (especially dear Emilio who puts so much energy into this place and teaches us a few words of Italian along the way :))), dear Francesco, beautiful Heather, Barney…). We are so blessed to have such lovely place on our doorstep! The owner is very lucky to have these beautiful people providing wonderful service and experience to all. Keep going strong! Nice views, plenty of seating, great hot chocolate. But slow service

As a local took a stroll today to coast cafe. Food average and service time ridiculous. Then once get to payment staff ( in particular Italian brown haired and bald man) very abrupt and rude. Did not feel welcome . Such a shame as it's a great location but very expensive for what it is and those two men need to go .

Was charged £6 for a slush puppy drink when they didn’t even tell me the price before pouring it and getting payment ready. Absolutely insane price! They’re £2.95 just along the beach for the same size drink!

Paid about 8 quid , for 2 Luke warm coffees in paper cups , won’t be going again

This Cafe/Bar was fantastic. We used the venue for a memorial for one of our friends who died suddenly last year. The venue did our group proud. The staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. I am told the food was lovely, I did not eat. They also have a roof top space if it gets too warm. Recommended 💯 it has a really friendly atmosphere

Service painfully slow, queued for food for around 20 minutes. Staff rude when you finally make it to the front, food nothing more than mediocre. It’s such a great setting and location and the premises are nice, I guess they realise their unique position so pay little attention to all other aspects of hospitality

Blown away by service and breakfast today at coast cafe. Sun shining beautiful scenes across at the sea and good music playing upbeat . Very trendy decor inside and upcoming . Would definitely recommend seems to have really improved in recent months . Great breakfast menu. Had warm crossiants with smoked salmon , cream cheese and added scrambled egg. Great presentation and coffee too ! Wil be back

First cafe I would recommend to anyone visiting Worthing, food is incredible and well themed venue, outdoor seating is perfect for early mornings or Summer days offering great views out to sea. Feel very lucky to have this so close to home.

Just had a cappuccino and bacon roll. No additional filling. So lightly toasted roll and bacon. It was delicious. Will I go back. 100%

We came across this place by chance. Nice vibe, nice staff. We sat outside close to the sea, lovely location with a wind break which is helpful. We ordered Scampi and chips which was delicious and not over priced and the portion was decent too! The beer was delicious as well. I will definitely go there again when I am next in Worthing. In fact this place would encourage me to visit Worthing again.

Slow bar staff, you stand waiting for ages and they seem stressed even though it's not that busy. Telling people to line up single file at the bar, just odd.

Terrible service took 25 minutes to get a cappuccino and even then I had to go to the counter and ask about my order arrived eventually with an apology but then server forgot I had ordered a croissant avoid if you value good service !!!!!!!

Have been here before to eat and been very pleased with the food and tried again to eat and checked the website to see what time they stopped food. Disappointed to be told they had stopped serving food and said the times change in half term.

Counter staff needs sorting out. When cappuccino coffees arrived at our table they were barely warm. Seemed expensive for that little cup !!!!

Second visit in 5 years. My memories are vague, but I get the impression that the cafe has matured and is more relaxed and busier. The coffee was great and the strange-looking pastry (I had to ask what it was) was quite tasty. I can remember going to a cafe on this site in the 1970s. I think it was above the present cafe and much smaller.

Wicked night, "Sessions" hosted a winter wonderland event which was amazing and had a great vibe, the atmosphere was electric and very friendly, I caught up with some old skool ravers who lived locally who frequently attend the coast cafe and its events, my first time at Coast and will certainly not be my last, thanks for a great night and for having us❤

Popped in for a coffee mid afternoon and thought the cafe had a very relaxed vibe and trendy / cool decor. The venue turns into a music hub in the evening playing hip music and even as an oldy I love drum and base 🤔 Great idea and it would be my regular place to go if I lived in Worthing. Alas only visiting. Have not been to Worthing in years and wow hasn’t it changed

Popped in for take away latte on 15th October. After waiting 30 mins gave up, despite asking member of staff to advise me how much longer I would have to wait Couldnt be bothered to ask for a refund.

Great food, fabulous music and really friendly staff. Especially good to take children as it's easily accessible and has a little playground with a sandpit right outside. Lovely location, right on the beach. Dog friendly too, so it really has everything!!!!!

The Coast Cafe is a cafe/restaurant/event bar situated on the promenade and beach, east of Worthing pier. There is seating available on the beach or inside their premises. If you are sitting at the beach tables you get wonderful views of the beach and sea. The food and drinks were excellent quality, reasonable prices and tasty. The waiting time was not too long either, considering that it was busy. The staff were friendly and efficient too. Overall it was a good experience.

Today I went to this café and I ordered a large hot chocolate for £3.20 and cream and marshmallows were 45p extra and I ordered a large hot chocolate with cream this ended up being £3.65 and a kids hot chocolate is £2.20 well I was going there with my school and I got given a kids hot chocolate and I said "hold on I paid £3.65 for a large hot chocolate not a kids size, can I have a large please" the women proceeded to say "I gave everyone in ur school group a small because its cheaper" but that was a lie, all my friends all got larges apart from about 5 of us and there was 27 of us in total. The man was telling everyone that they had no larges but there were large cups right infront of our faces and he was being quite loud about it . When I said I paid for a large they didn't give my money back. Also the prices are really expensive! My hot chocolate wasn't even hot it was luke warm !!!! I wouldn't recommend coming here if you want to loose your money but if u want to pay very expensive prices then go ahead and come here but I really do not recommend this place! So I give it 1 star!!!!

A great location, right on the beach. They do a great breakfast. There is a good range of beers. Service is a tricky one to comment on. Some of the staff are friendly and efficient, and some are not. I go to Coast Cafe fairly regularly, and it's not uncommon to be standing in a long queue waiting to be served. Some staff are right on it, efficiently dealing with customers to clear the queue. Others display no sense of urgency or interest in what they are doing and will be chatting away to other staff behind the bar whilst the queue snakes down further toward the toilets. Some staff display great customer service and are friendly, welcoming, and efficient. Others come across as sullen with a 'couldn't care less' attitude.

Great food, drinks and atmosphere. Handy having bike locks outside and seating area on the beach. The upstairs seating offers great views. The evening vibe is fun and relaxed.

Delicious food and friendly attentive staff. Dog and child friendly which makes for a lovely family breakfast trip out.

Location outside lovely, service 30 minute wait, I ordered the Full English, sausage beautiful and rest of breakfast ok, however the poached egg was dry, a huge disappointment as I love a poached egg, one butter given under toast so was warm and runny. I didn't think it was worth £12 in all honesty. My husband enjoyed his bap with sausage, hash brown and bacon so mixed reviews from us. at £7, still on the steep side.

I really struggle with Coast's queueing system, and have often just walked out and gone elsewhere. On Wednesday we went there just for drinks with a view and got stuck in the very long queue. The single que was for both food AND drink. Then they decided to split it into 2 queues, 1 for drinks, and 1 for food, but unfortunately they had someone new working the drinks queue and the queue took longer than the food queue. I asked a member of staff why we queue and she said it was so that the kitchen staff didn't get overwhelmed with orders. Now I'm sorry, but surely table service with where you are in the scheme of things and a predicted possible wait would be better than endless queuing. One of my friends wanted another drink at Coast but I point blank refused, just because of the queue, although £24 for 4 drinks also put me off slightly. All that being said, I absolutely love Coast, and love the music and the vibe. Just such a shame about the queue.

Great location by the beach. High prices. For example, £14.95 for fish, chips, and peas which was also onsale for just £6 at a local chippy. The fish was not cod or haddock, with too much batter.

Stopped here for breakfast one weekday morning. Sat out the front watching the waves with a delicious bacon and egg bap and flat white. Perfect! I had noticed this place the day before and it was heaving at lunchtime so I am glad I came back when it was quiet (9.45am)
