Made to feel warm and welcome from the moment we walked through the door. The building it's self it's beautiful. The food was lovely and I had the best chai latte I have had in a long time. Our waitress Danielle was very helpful and was kind and smiley. I will definitely be going for lunch there more often.

Multiple visits, usually very pleased with the dining experience. This time, not so much. Service was fine, the Bone Dry Riesling was excellent, although heavy mark up. I must say the small plates were pretty, well presented but over priced. Tinned anchovies £10 for 4, you can buy a whole tin for £7. If the description included the term “tinned” I wouldn’t have ordered them. The biggest disappointment was the Quail, beautifully presented but terrible texture and cold. The waitress did ask me what was the issue with the dish, I told her, but that was the end of that. £135 for a selection of cold dishes, apart from the chips which were nuclear. Shame really, won’t be returning anytime soon. Initially a “quirky” dining experience however once you become a regular it seems to lose its appeal.

Food was extremely poor and so was the customer service. I ordered the saffron risotto and it because it was the last order of the day the meal was poorly done. Family and I wouldn’t go back

Visitamos aquí un sábado por la tarde, ya que había reservado el almuerzo de 3 platos veuve clicquot conjunto. Reservé temprano, ya que acabamos de volar esa mañana, así que el restaurante no estaba demasiado ocupado y bastante relajado. Se hizo mucho más ocupado y ruidoso más tarde cuando llegaron muchas reservas para el té de la tarde. Me pareció que había una buena selección en el menú y muy buena relación calidad-precio a £ 30 la cabeza, aunque me pareció ridículo que una copa adicional del mismo champán era de £ 24 , especialmente cuando una copa era 2 / 3 lleno. Tuve que pedirle a otro servidor que lo recargara ya que nuestra camarera dijo que lo haría y nunca regresó! Disfruté de nuestras opciones de almuerzo, para comenzar pedimos ostras (no incluidas en la oferta) luego tostadas de chorizo y tomate, muy buena porción, ensalada de burrata, tan fresca y cremosa. Pollo con suero de mantequilla y paleta de cordero, ambos deliciosos. Acompañantes y postres que aunque somos pequeños eran solo el dulce necesario para terminar la comida. Me gusta este hotel y sus diferentes áreas de comer / beber y volvería a cenar en este menú.

Friendly service, chicken kebabs are generous portions, filling and yummy. Would def recommend. Affordable and good value. Thanks for being in Buckfastleigh.

This place is closed down. Whoever keeps changing it to temporary is wrong..

When we aren't going to Palace Tandoori Restaurant we order our takeaway from Maxi's. They have great selection so if some want pizza, burger, kebab, curry in a nan.... That's fine coz I can still have my favourite curry n pilau!

Ate in this hotel restaurant on a Monday evening. Nice setting and friendly attentive staff. Starters of tomato soup and garlic mushrooms, both tasted lovely. We both had the 12oz rib-eye steak which was cooked to perfection and cut like a knife through butter, lush. We finished with the strawberry sundae and sticky toffee pudding. A Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and a Merlot meant we went off to bed with a warm glow. A lovely meal.

Lovely place to wander around. Reception and bar staff very attentive. Sadly our meal was very ordinary. Entree and dessert were quite good. Steak was awful - not cooked as requested (got medium and medium rare rather than rare) and it was great and unappetising. Our waiter irritatingly kept visiting our table to see how we were going.

Absolutely delighted with the brilliant food, fantastic drinks and immaculate service. The staff were really attentive and our drinks server even gave us tasters when we weren't sure about a cocktail. Will heartily recommend. Special mention for the vast choice of dishes that were gluten free which was brilliant for one of our party.

Looking for somewhere to eat and use for our regular eat when we are on the island and in Ryde. This will not be the place unfortunately. It says on menu 1/4 pound chicken burger. It hardly covered the standard size burger bun. Not worth h the £5.90 they charge and that is it if you want chips or anything that’s extra. Most of staff friendly, one member not sure if new but no idea how to process our order. The quest is still on for a nice place to eat in Ryde with our dog.

Picked up a takeaway and staff were very friendly and polite, food was ready very quickly and very tasty! Will definitely order again!

Pagué por 2 bebidas para sentarse. Ambos llegaron en tazas para llevar. Incluso los pos tenían fotos de las bebidas que pedimos en tazas de porcelana para sentarse y tazas de papel para llevar. Me parece que es más conveniente para el personal servir todo en vasos de papel para evitar lavarse ... cuando usted está pagando probablemente pagando más para sentarse, entonces usted esperaría más que vasos de papel. En términos de bebidas, el chocolate caliente era como caliente en el mejor de los casos. El personal hizo mucho ruido y las conversaciones entre los clientes que atendían rugieron en toda la tienda. Habíamos reservado una cena para nuestro aniversario de bodas de Ruby durante nuestra estancia en el Old Waverley Hotel. Había solicitado una mesa con vistas si era posible y teníamos una mesa en la esquina de la ventana con vistas al Castillo de Edimburgo y al Scott Memorial. Hay un menú de precio fijo (3 cursos para 24. 95) con aproximadamente 4 opciones para cada curso. Mi esposo y yo teníamos las mismas opciones: Bruschetta de langostinos con ajo y chile servido con pan rústico, tomate, albahaca, salsa, hojas mixtas y rodaja de limón Jamón de Pollo sobre una cama de papas a la crema con vegetales mixtos Plato de queso escocés servido con chutney, galletas de queso y uvas Disfrutamos mucho de nuestra comida, la comida estaba bien presentada y sabrosa, y el servicio fue eficiente y amable. También disfrutamos nuestros desayunos, té y café traídos a la mesa y el buffet frío / caliente con desayuno cocinado (incluyendo haggis), selección de jugos, tostadas, cereales, yogurt, compota de frutas, fruta fresca y cruasanes.
