The Whippet Inn Bar & Bistro in Brent

We had a celebratory dinner last nignt, 11 of us. We couldn't have been looked after better. From the manager to the lovely girl who served us, to the lovely chap who made wine recommendations, just perfect. Thank you to San P who organised the booking too. Good was delicious, we had most of the starters on the menu. We had wine, ales, cider, cocktails as a group. All good selections. We were in the garden, atmosphere was great with fairy lights, and many people enjoying the evening. Thank you all for making our evening special. I also recommend the garden for private events.

The Whippet Inn was a fantastic find during my visit in Kensal Rise. Had a great plant-based dish that I was wanting to try and they also have an extensive custom drink menu. The gin and tonic was served a personal-sized bottle of Franklin & Sons tonic water so you could adjust the level of tonic yourself - we don't have this in the States so that was cool. A must try. Perfect for date nights and Sunday roast.

Stylish premises and great staff. I had the smashed avocado with poached egg on soughdpugh. It was fab. Eggs cooked to perfection.

The food is delicious and the 15 hours potatoes cooked in duck fat are a must. The service is exceptional, which made the overall experience wonderful

Wonderful Sunday roast. Service was as good as the food. Lovely Scotch eggs to start followed by the sharing platter for three of the Lamb shoulder with homemade mint sauce and all the veg trimmings. my Mum managed the tiramisu dessert which was as light as a feather. My third time and each visit was excellent. Keep up the good work you little Whippet !!

You really can't beat a fabulous Sunday roast and The Whippet Inn delivered exactly that! Roast beef cooked to absolute perfection with all the trimmings which were both generous and delicious. The Sunday atmosphere was buzzing, accompanied by warm, friendly staff with exceptional attention to detail. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to come back! Donna

A group of friends and I went to the Sunday roast and we were all disappointed. The beef was over cooked and rubbery, the Yorkshire pudding was stodgy and dense, and one of our table didn’t get a Yorkshire as the chef missed plating it. The scotch egg was a bit undercooked which is always a worry with pork, and when we complained about the beef/yorkshire the kitchen refused to exchange it. Really poor, there is better nearby.

First evening in London..after a long journey we just wanted to grab some food! We hadn’t booked a table, but the service was so kind to find one for us! We hass some fish and chips as well as young broccoli and sweet potato mash with chickpeas and vegetable.. It was fresh and so delicious! The service was kind and very friendly.. final some cocktails .. at all a perfect start into a getaway wiry friends

One of the best local pubs in London. Top food, excellent Sunday roasts, great atmosphere. Consistently good every time I visit. Hard to think of many places who get it so right. Hats off to the staff.

I'm honestly never really impressed with a pub roast, however today changed my mind. Food was outstanding not a aunt Bessie frozen potato in sight. Roast beef was delicious, veg, Yorkshire amazing, gravy was so tasty 😋 definitely recommend. Thanks for a wonderful lunch!

Fathers day - The dining experience was enjoyable with a pleasant atmosphere. However, I must deduct two stars due to the excessive wait for our food, which lasted over an hour. Unfortunately, no one took the initiative to apologize or keep us informed about the delay. I had to personally seek out a member of the waiting staff to inquire about the situation. Eventually, a tall individual informed us that the food would be arriving shortly and assured us that we had not been forgotten, yet no apology was given. It is crucial for the restaurant to improve in this area by being more attentive and promptly informing customers about any delays. This simple gesture can greatly enhance customer satisfaction, preventing them from feeling left in the dark. Despite the wait, we still provided a generous tip to the server who attended to us and settled the service charge included in the bill. Hopefully next time I can leave 5 stars

This PUB was perfect, and I rarely say that. We went for Sunday lunch & sat outside, music was lovely chilled vibes, staff were fantastic and food was excellent. Even drinks were spot on. Can't fault this pub, can't recommend it highly enoug.

I called the whippet inn for a table on Sunday after online booking said sold out. They kindly fit us in for Sunday lunch. I have been to almost every pub around west/northwest London trying to find somewhere for a decent roast and still find everywhere to have watery gravy rock hard veg. Well this pub did not disappoint! The roast dinner was absolutely amazing, we both had trio of meats all meat so tender melt in the mouth, proper homemade Yorkie, amazing roasted carrots! Cauli cheese was an extra but so cheesy and soft! Sausage meat stuffing delicious! Plenty of roasties! The staff were amazing and so friendly, we ordered an extra two roasts to take out for family and they kindly put extra gravy in as requested! I am so excited to have finally found a lovely pub with an amazing roast I can go to on a Sunday! I have called the family to recommend! Will be returning this or next Sunday!

Yorkshire was cold my beef was a very tough potatoes not great but vegetables were nice, desert took a very long time so we went over our 90 min slot, wouldn’t go back anytime soon as not the best experience!

L’accoglienza è stata ottima da parte del personale. Avevamo voglia di una birra e di qualcosa di non troppo impegnativo da mettere sotto i denti. L’ambiente è quello di un tipico pub inglese ma sicuramente più moderno, anche nell’offerta dei molti vini italiani. I cannot thank the Manager and staff for their amazing dedication to us . They went above and beyond for our family funeral reception yesterday (31.10.22). The food was top quality and cooked to perfection and value for money. I would totally recommend the Whippet Inn for any function as they can clearly cater for all needs. I cannot praise The Whippet Inn enough for the quality and value of their food. It is also matched by the attentive service provided by their staff to make sure everything runs smoothly for large numbers of guests The food is near Michelin Star quality. They must have a great chef We went there for a funeral reception which you want to run without a hitch and it did I cannot recommend this pub enough and will certainly go there again to eat

Visited on Fathers Day, service was excellent and the food was amazing. Ordered the roast lamb sharer and there was more than enough for two people. Friend ordered the three meat roast and it looked fantastic. Great portion sizes that didn’t leave room for dessert!

I couldn't finish my food. The schnitzel and potato rosti were so crisp and drenched in oil they'd lost their flavour. The egg on top was also dry and hard. You could tell it was all cooked on the same grill/fryer/pan. All of it tasted...

We went for Sunday roast dinner and it was a disappointment. The food was delivered 50 minutes late and we kept asking how much longer and the staff ignored us. Meanwhile apart from drinks we weren’t offered even water while waiting. For the price paid, the food wasn’t anything special and the whole experience ended up being quite disappointing.

Me and My Partner decided to book a table at this restaurant on looking at the images the food looked amazing ( big mistake ) Booked a table for 17.45pm arrived around 17.55pm was seated at the table outside, ordered a few drinks and food starter came 30 mins after we was seated, while we was seated we was told that they were out of half of the menu which was off putting. Our food came over 2 hours late and when it came the lamb pork and chicken was chewy and cold due to this we were unable to eat it expressed this to Michael waiter who was very apologetic about what happened in which he spoke to the Manager who seemed not to even care but took money off the bill in the end we ordered boneless chicken wings and fries which again took 40 minutes to come due to this frustration we decided to take it as a takeaway.Whilst in the venue there was a quiz night going on which was loud and just made the atmosphere awful, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. No one seems to know or understand what was going on there at the time, the final bill came and it was over £60 in which I felt wasn't worth it.The only helpful person there was Michael the rest were just unhelpful and not bothered. Please stay away from this place.

El tazón de nutrición era refrescante y había una elegante selección de bebidas, el servicio no pasó mucho tiempo entre pedir la comida y ser servido. La única queja que tengo es que no me informaron que no tenían pepinos cuando pedí el GT de Hendrick.

El área al aire libre en la parte de atrás se veía bien para un día cálido.Comida: Ambos entrantes (calamar, burrata) eran realmente buenos y por encima de la media en términos de comida de pub. El bistec de mi novio estaba delicioso y perfectamente preparado. Tuve la hamburguesa vegana que también era bastante buena, aunque poco imaginativa.Servicio: El personal parecía lo suficientemente agradable y, como mencioné anteriormente, estaban muy ocupados debido al esquema. Sin embargo, como es habitual en el Reino Unido, se necesitan muchos años para recibir la factura y luego muchos más para ofrecer el pago. También creo que podrían habernos vendido un par de copas más si hubieran estado un poco más atentos. we booked in to have a Sunday roast here as a few different people we know had recommended it. on arrival the place was extremely busy and we were all very much looking forward to our lunch. we all opted for the same thing (3 meat roast).when it arrived the food on the plate was barely warm. the Yorkshire pudding was stone cold, the veg was cold the potatoes were so dry and tasteless you could barely swallow them. the food was so dry we had to request more gravy and they brought us over a tiny little jug for 3 people. i asked for my food to be heated up as it was just cold and inedible and when it came back i'm pretty sure it wasn't the same of plate of food as before but yet it was still barely warm. safe to say the food was left and we asked for the bill and left. this was really disappointing and we left the place feeling hungry and out of pocket considering we had still been charged £20 per roast dinner. would not recommend this place for a Sunday roast.

Really friendly front-of-house and serving staff, nice atmosphere and fantastic food. I had roast beef, it was succulent meat, perfectly cooked and delicious veg. They have a decent wine selection and a varied menu to cover all tastes. All at a very fair price. This was my first visit, I will definitely be going again.

This is a very elegant bar serving great food and very good selection of drinks especially champagne and martini based cocktails: Espresso Martini is the crowned queen.

Excellent food although a tad pricey. Interesting drinks menu and very yummy desserts. I would recommend for a celebration. Very nice outside seating. The restaurant is separate from the bar area which makes it feel a bit more exclusive.

Worthy of the name Gastro pub, the Lamb chops, with fresh herbs and couscous was the outstanding dish of the day on are table. The kitchen staff produce's first class fair, and are a credit to the whole team who run this busy Pub used manly by locals, if you have the chance look it up. I look forward to my next visit.

Teníamos 4 horas para llenar mientras nuestro hijo estaba en una fiesta cercana, pasamos por The Whippet y pensamos que parecía un buen lugar para cenar. ¡Genial plato principal de G&T; y bacalao, lentejas y chorizo (uno de los platos de pescado más sabrosos que he probado)! No teníamos ni idea de qué esperar cuando entramos, pero nos sorprendió gratamente.

Un grupo de nosotros quería ponernos al día y elegí este pub gastronómico para el almuerzo, habiendo leído primero Trip Advisor. Llamé por teléfono para ver si el almuerzo todavía iba a servirse a las 2 pm, pedí un rincón tranquilo donde no nos sintiéramos sordos por la música, pudiéramos escucharnos y estuviéramos cálidos y luego apareciéramos. No nos decepcionó y nos sirvieron inmediatamente con menús. Luego nos sentamos y conversamos durante más de 3 horas sin ninguna interrupción, aparte de preguntar si la comida había sido de nuestro agrado; si nos gustaría alguna bebida o un postre y las interrupciones siempre fueron silenciosas, no intrusivas y acompañadas con una sonrisa!

E' la terza volta nell'ultimo semestre che andiamo da Whippet Inn. L'atmosfera è da tipico pub inglese ma un pochino più ordinata e rispettosa. Meglio prenotare (la domenica). Birre alla spina veramente top. Piatti tipici (quali full whippet roas piatto misto di carne alla brace che viene servito la domenica, oppure haddock con patate da non perdere).

Fuera de las rutas turísticas de Portobello y Notting Hill, este es un lugar inteligente para disfrutar de un buen almuerzo y bebida en un pub con una gran cantidad de gente local de Kensal Rise y Queens Park. Ayudando a promover la lentitud mediante la constante gentrificación y renovación de este vecindario de North Kensington.

We went for a family Sunday lunch, nice but average but as I have a serious allergy I told them and asked about their food preparations on arrival and was told my waitress would deal with my questions. I asked our waitress who did not seem interested and told me she was sure my allergies would not be affected by their cooking methods but she said she would check with the chef. On her return she said that the chef agreed with her but they could not guarantee it was my choice. Though my family were for leaving I decided we would stay but I would not go back. Though the vegetables were fresh and warm the Yorkshire pudding was tepid like the gravy and beef.

Called in here after moving our daughter into her new flat. A lovely typical London pub, welcomed by the landlord. Food, beer and wine were excellent, I can recommend the sardines.

Nunca recomendaría comer aquí. No creo que el chef chef es un real o simplemente un chico que deep fry todo. La comida era de muy mala calidad y plato era lleno de aceite. Sin duda no vale la pena el precio que paga. Incluso el pescado a la parrilla es nadar en el aceite. Lo siento, pero barato llevar o cuchara grasienta es mejor. No puedo creer que yo pagué 70 libras. Triste pero nunca volveré y yo vivo a 5 minutos de distancia.

I truly love places like this, food is excellent and you feel really welcome. There’s a great selection of fresh meals with good vegetarian/vegan options. If you, just like me, eat meat, chorizo croquettes are fantastic! Strongly recommend this place for good food, great & friendly service and good atmosphere. There’s also a lovely beer garden.
