The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in West Wales

I’ve been walking past here every day and have always wanted to go in, the art on the walls always gets my attention. This week we decided to go for lunch, had a jacket potato and it was delicious, nice and fluffy with plenty of beans and cheese, the staff were really friendly too. Food was slightly pricey for a work lunch break, but everything is now! Will definitely go back soon.

We arrived at bluestone absolutely starving, this pub was the first option that came up on our Apple Maps & we literally thought let’s just give it a go. I must say I’m so glad we did, we were seated straight away, food didn’t take long, and the portion sizes were well worth the money! To top it off the food was also banging! The onions rings were 12/10, would definitely recommend.

The quality of the sandwiches we had were excellent - lovely fresh bread with generous and tasty fillings and all at reasonable prices. The place itself from the outside is unprepossessing but inside is fine for a cafe. Staff wee helpful so overall very satisfied with our meal

We stayed in a motor home for 2 nights. OK there’s no loos or showers but you can empty your chemical loo but there is electric hook up and the price is sooo cheap! It’s out of the way, really quiet, a bar and restaurant and lots of sheep and ponies to see. Would most definitely stay again!

I had vanilla milkshake and it did not taste like a milkshake the cups where dirty…..the sauces where dirty dishes where dirty toilets where messy

Absolutely amazing food. Excellent service. Nothing is too much trouble. Staff are friendly, chatty & helpful, and it’s clean. Definitely recommend the coronation chicken, cheese salad. Hubby had baked spud first time which he enjoyed & baguette 2nd time each he enjoyed. And the cakes WOW!! I will miss the carrot cake which I highly recommend & the custard slice is just as amazing. The cost is brilliant too. Thanks you Phillys Baguettes

Visited the cellar bar this evening for drinks- wow!! We were served and looked after by Quinn, who was amazing. His knowledge of the cocktails (which were delicious) was superb, 10/10 charming, friendly service. He went above and beyond to make our evening very special. Don’t be put off by the rather clumsy name of this light and airy café in Llandeilo, nor by negative comments made by others on this site. Lovely coffee and cakes and friendly, helpful service yn y Gymraeg. Diolch yn fawr.

OK....first of all you need to know that I made this review several years ago and just now realized that I had posted it to the WRONG Greyhound....my bad. Here is my review as posted.........Spent a night across the street at The Mariner Hotel after missing the ferry to Ireland down at Pembroke. Not sure where to eat so we stumbled across the street to The Greyhound Hotel for a bit of bar food. Started out in the pub that had a half dozen or so locals there drinking ale and watching football. I bought a round for the boys and the party was on. Very friendly and fun bunch of blokes that the wife and I very much enjoyed meeting and spending time with. After a couple of beers we went upstairs for a bite to eat, and the experience could not have been better! We both had the fish and chips, and I can say without a doubt that it was one of the best meals I have ever had, and the price (about 8 pounds) was to die for (see photos), The fish was fresh, the batter was wonderful, the mushy peas were fresh and flavorful and the chips? Well they were hot and fresh and more than we could eat. The couple running it (he cooking and she serving) were a hoot, The place is very small and probably seats no more than 20 but several tables were filled with locals, and they were all very friendly and open. Fabulous choice of food and very reasonably priced. Prepared quickly. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Should not be missed.

Something for everyone. Bowling, games, play area and cafe/restaurant. Good fast food at a fair price and very personable,friendly staff. Clean and bright. Will visit again.

We went here for lunch and thought this cafe looked good from the outside. We are vegetarians so vegan food appeals to us. There was a good amount of space in the cafe, it had a relaxed atmosphere and the owner was very friendly. There was a good range on the menu, however I would have preferred to read the menu of a traditional card and not a tv screen as I felt we didn’t have enough time to muse through the food choices. Unfortunately, when we got our food (soup) it was not warmed through properly which obviously wasn’t great. I think this place has great potential but the final attention to detail isn’t there. We left feeling disappointed by the food but glad to see a vegan cafe on the high street in Haverfordwest West.

The staff was very smiley, we received warm welcome. Their specialty is the dinner which consists of countless different vegetables and 2 types of meat. The temperature of the food was piping hot, the plate was full of delicious, good quality food and it was considerably cheap as well. The place has got many different types of homemade cakes, and it serves coffees as well. We will be definitely coming back.

I've never felt the need to write a review, as quite simply, if it's good we'll return if it's bad we won't! However, as we are regular visitors to St Davids to see family, this time, I've had to make an exception. We always like to visit St Davids Cathedral & stop at The Refectory for lunch.. What's gone wrong ? Not much choice as it's a very limited menu. Doesn't seem to be a manager or anyone in charge, it's more like lads on a night out. Bad language, dirty uniforms & very unorganised (putting it politely). We've always enjoyed visiting in the past but this experience makes us not want to come back again. After talking with family about our disappointing visit, we discovered there has been a change in management & staff. Standards have declined, the level of customer service, personal hygiene and food quality are extremely below standard. It's such a shame as previous visits have always been positive even during busy times.
