Diod Llandeilo in Carmarthenshire

I was here for food and ordered the baguette with rarebit. The rarebit on the 2 pieces of baguette was in such a thin layer (same amount if you'd put butter on toast). The little rarebit tasted as melted cheese only. No other flavours. I had rarebit in llandeilo in other places were the rarebit was in a thick layer, and nice leek, mustard taste... ( like a finger thick). To ask 8.5 pounds for this I think it s crazy. When I paid at the counter, the tall young man didn't even ask me how everything was.

Popped in to the new second location and had a fantastic breakfast with my wife and the coffee was great. Lovely new place and will go again

We had the most delightful experience at Diod cafe! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and attentiveness by the staff. They were incredibly accommodating with our kids, making us feel right at home. The cake was an absolute masterpiece – moist, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The coffee was a perfect complement, rich and aromatic. What truly set this place apart was the impeccable service; the staff not only took care of our needs but also made sure our children felt comfortable. We can't wait to return to Diod.

This coffee shop was a pleasant find on our recent trip to the area. After finding our previous "goto" had closed we decided to try Diod and were thankful that we did. Their lunch menu was appetising, and their range of cakes looked and tasted scrumptious. Not sure who roasts their coffee but it is brewed far better than anywhere else in town. Service was casual but professional and welcoming.

Had a lovely pot of tea. Didn’t have any food but they do sell sandwiches. Plenty of room to sit and enjoy a tea or coffee if you are ever passing through or visiting Llandeilo. Highly recommended

A lovely place to visit and stop off whilst in the area. I found the free 2h parking opposite convenient. I will be back soon.

Delicious NY deli sandwich that could feed two people and great tasting (and properly hot not lukewarm) coffee. Friendly staff, too.

Thoroughly recommend this cafe if you're looking for anything from a coffee to a light lunch. The range of food is excellent and interesting and the staff are very professional and pleasant. The loose tea was a particular treat, and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Brilliant!

Visiting Llandeilo and not finding any places open we saw Diod and decided to try it. We were so pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and the overall feel of DIod is very good. The menu was varied and very interesting. We loved our lunch visit there and if you are in the area would highly recommend visiting Diod.

This cafe easily accommodated our table of 8 recently both in physical space and also in service which was friendly and efficient. Lots of options on the menu and when the food came it was tasty and had generous portions. The bread was particularly tasty and not just standard store bought. One notable point was the kids lunch box which was a notch above the standard fare. The sandwich was a generous size with above average brand drink and crisps. The addition of a bowl of freshly prepared strawberries and grapes was really appreciated, Would recommend to anyone looking for a good value lunch or snack in a clean and modern cafe in a great location.

We've been here 5-6 times now and have never been disappointed. The staff are always friendly and there's never a long wait for anything. The breads they serve are amazing and a great choice of fillings. My chicken and bacon baguette was delicious and my OH enjoyed the special which was smoked chicken pesto and cheddar toasted ciabatta. We've previously had the breakfast pancakes, bacon baguette, new york deli sandwich, etc and everything has been just perfect. The coffee they serve is really smooth. Can't fault the cafe at all. Would like to plead with other customers though that we did see on our visit. It was a busy lunchtime and a lot of customers weren't able to come in as it was full. The one table next to us had 3 ladies who had been there for a very long time after their order of coffees and seemed to be involved in trying to book a weekend break and were still there when we left. Whilst I'm sure the owners of the establishment are more than happy for customers to have an enjoyable and relaxing experience at Diod, just be mindful that at the end of the day, they are trying to earn a living and survive the after effects of the pandemic on top of the current cost of living crisis. So to sit there using the wifi whilst blocking potential paying customers is a pretty grim thing to do.

This café is modern, spacious and clean. I enjoyed a tasty slice of carrot cake and a pleasant cappuccino. The service is friendly and prompt. Prices are typical for the area.

A warm welcome. Cheese and ham croissant was excellent. Chocolate orange truffle cake wasn't very tasty. One step upto counter and another one to toilet so not wheelchair accessible.

Diod is a light and airy cafe. Friendly staff and spacious set-up. Food fresh that tastes home made , I had quiche and salad plus a wondeful smoothy. All very well presented. I would recommend
