St. Elli’s Bay in Carmarthenshire

We visited St Elli’s on Friday 21 March for a pre theatre meal as a group of six. We all had excellent meals and were very impressed by the fantastic location and the professional, friendly staff. The weekend previous to our visit we all spent a weekend in Bordeaux (the home of gastronomy) and could honestly say that the meal in Llanelli was far better than any of the meals we ate in France so well done Wales!

We were at the beach with our 6 year old grandson on Saturday at 6.30 in the evening and he asked if he could have an ice cream. We told him the Gelato place was closed but ran around to see for himself. As we followed, we could see him standing out side talking to somebody. As we got there we saw a man holding the door open for him to go inside. When we got there, we met Steffan who invited our grandson in even though he had just finished his closing clean up. He said our grandson had been so polite and explained that he couldn’t come back tomorrow because he was going home to England. Steffan gave him a massive chocolate Nutella cone and insisted it was on the house!! What an example of genuine kindness and amazing customer service. Thank you again Steffan - you made Kasey’s night and you left us with a smile on our faces. You are a credit to Gelato and deserve great success.

Food was excellent and staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble for them. An enjoyable experience.

Fantastic quality and so well presented. Sunday lunch was delicious and the service was impeccable. So good to be back.

Wonderful food. Duck and fish were great and creme brulee to die for. Will be back when visiting next for EMX Sparks motorcross.

St Ellis Gelateria Hands down the best sorbet I've ever had. They all looked so good, but I settled on two different flavours, and they were both so fresh and flavoursome. The apple was just amazing and the melon so sweet. I was tempted to get another on the way back past 😆🩷🍦

A very pleasant atmosphere - good food and polite and efficient staff. Good choice on the menu. Lovely views across the bay.

Excellent food and service, we had the 2 course deal both mine and my husbands meal were tasty and delicious we have never been disappointed by the food here and we have been a few times.Plus stunning views across to the gower.

Second time visiting this little gem. Both visits have happened to be on a Sunday to coincide with our Trostre shopping trips. Food is AMAZING and you've got a view to match! As well as the Sunday lunch menu, they also offer a few select alternatives and options from the specials board. Everything we've had has been perfectly cooked 😍 and served by friendly staff. A must visit ! A perfect end to a few hours retail therapy.

Celebrating my anniversary with my wife and again today all was very good, congrats 🥂, we asked for ketogenic diet and we got what we wanted.

We had the two course lunch menu which was good value for money. Food was lovely and the staff were attentive and informative.

Tried the gelateria at 11.30 ( sign said open at 11) told open after 12 so tried Ellis bay instead , not a friendly welcome and ignored for a few minutes despite no one else waiting to be served. Girl serving was pleasant but the coffee was barely tepid

The quality of the food was average; however, the most disappointing aspect was the excessively long wait times between courses, including beverages. This delay was significant enough that two parties did not receive their desserts. When I brought this matter to the attention of the manager, he attributed the situation to being busy. While I can appreciate that restaurants can experience high demand, such delays should not occur, particularly given the prices charged. It is essential for establishments to prioritise customer satisfaction, and in this case, the experience was marked by high costs, inadequate quality, and a lack of customer focus.

Gorgeous views, really friendly staff and really nice food. The only negative for us was the waiting time between starters and main (at least 30 min and it wasn't busy) other than that, great experience and good value for money.

Just a fab place. Great views over the bay and fantastic food to match it. The food is plentiful and presented perfectly. Good food at good value for money. Highly recommended

Nice atmosphere. Quite busy for midweek. We arrived later but presume the early bird deal had brought people in. Food was very good. My son is used to eating out in London and he felt the standard was very comparable, and cost reasonable. Service was prompt. Really enjoyable evening out catching up with family.

We took family from the Midlands there last friday evening , and we had an excellent meal which we all thoroughly enjoyed . What we do like is that the meals served are consistently good . There is a good vibe in the restaurant.

The restaurant has great views…it’s the ideal venue for a casual get together. The food is good and you can’t fault the service.

Great food, excellent service, and very welcoming as always. Couldn’t recommend it enough. They had a birthday dessert ready before even asking and made it very easy for wheelchair users. They have a great balance between being professional and friendly while also being accessible.
