Excellent pub with excellent well kept Evans Evans beer.(usually 2). Presently only open Fridays to Sundays (inclusive) with live acoustic music usually on Sunday afternoon. No food but food can be enjoyed across the road at The Cawdors Hotel who actually now own the pub.

An unpretentious brewery tap pub that appeals to a wide range of drinkers. Courtyard beer garden lovely on a warm day/evening. Edit. Have knocked my rating down after a recent visit during a busy evening where I couldn't get served. I refused to stand there waving notes at the bar staff, but it seems that those that shout loudest get served.

Great little pub in Pontneathvaughan, exactly what we needed after a stroll around the Waterfalls. The staff were very friendly and the food service was very prompt. I’d go as far as saying this was the best Sunday dinner I’ve ever had, the reason for the 4 star is I thought the tables felt a bit close together. But that wouldn’t stop me from not returning.

Apparently this place gets confused with the White Hart Inn for food (no food at the White Horse) but the barman was so kind and absolutely amazing when he realised we had parked up especially to visit with our dog (it is very dog friendly at The White Horse!), he said we could bring back some chips and eat there. So kind! Definitely go for a drink there, they have lots of local drinks on tap. My other half had a Cwrw and I had Welsh berry cider. Everybody was so friendly, worth a visit!

This place has so much potential. It's a little reminiscent of an Oxford pub; it sits in its own stone courtyard, entirely hidden from the street by a characterful and charming alleyway. But the reality intrudes on the illusion, it's all a bit run-down and looks like the haven of the committed alcoholic. Step inside and there's little doubt. We didn't get a warm welcome and the poker-faced young lad behind the bar tried to charge me £3.50 for two packets of crisps and a tap water (on the back of our round of drinks). Apparently the tap water was £1.75!. Erm, no.

nfter walking 2 miles each way from Llandeilo to Dinefwr castle and back we were ready for a pint before lunch. There were 4 real ales brewed in the Evan Evans brewery of Llandeilo, a family brewery for almost 250 years. I tried the Brewery Bitter 3.6% gravity. Very refreshing. My wife enjoyed a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Although it was Monday the bar was busy and welcoming. An old stone built pub set back from the road in it's own court yard. A lovely place for a pint or even something to eat. The clientele on the first of August seemed a good mix of visitors and locals who were quite friendly to us. I must find time to check out the other 3 bitters on tap.

What a nice pub. We went in for a meal and were not disappointed with what we got. The lady who looked after us took our food order and asked what we would like to drink. I asked what real ales they had on and she gave me the names of three, two local and one I had tried before. Whilst I was making up my mind she suggested a tasting tray. Three glasses of ⅓ pint each, excellent. My food, chicken with honey and garlic was very pleasant indeed, my partner's steak was a bit chewy, but it can happen with rump. We will certainly be back.

Bues i i'r caffi yma ychydig o wythnosau yn ol, ar ol ymweld a'r parc gyda fy'n nheulu. Roedd y bwyd wedi cymryd amser hir i fod yn barod ond roedd y bryd yn blasus dros ben. Bydden wedi hoffi i'r staff fod ychydig yn fwy 'welcoming' a roedd y caffi ychydig yn fach ond os yn anwybyddu hyn, fe ges i amser da iawn a bwyd neis hefyd. I went to the cafe a couple of weeks ago after visited the park with my family. the food took longer than expected to arrive but the meal was very delicious. I would have loved for the staff to be a bit more welcoming as the cafe was a little small but if I was to ignore this I had had a lovely time and a lovely meal to go with it.

I come to Pontarddulais once a year while hubby visits a client and was excited to learn of the new espresso bar here. However, I was shocked at the prices!!! £4 for a latte and £3.90 for a flat white/cappuccino. Yikes! We were recently in Melbourne and Sydney and the most I paid for a latte there was £3, overlooking Sydney harbour. Mostly £2 generally and never had a bad one. Sadly, Coaltown’s flat white was way too strong and I didn’t enjoy 😝. I’ll bring my own next time. Shame, as I like the smell and ambience of a coffee shop.
