We went here for lunch and thought this cafe looked good from the outside. We are vegetarians so vegan food appeals to us. There was a good amount of space in the cafe, it had a relaxed atmosphere and the owner was very friendly. There was a good range on the menu, however I would have preferred to read the menu of a traditional card and not a tv screen as I felt we didn’t have enough time to muse through the food choices. Unfortunately, when we got our food (soup) it was not warmed through properly which obviously wasn’t great. I think this place has great potential but the final attention to detail isn’t there. We left feeling disappointed by the food but glad to see a vegan cafe on the high street in Haverfordwest West.

Excellent Vegan food (we had Burger & Chips) and good value; Owner is a really nice guy and we would wholly recommend you try this cafe out, even if you are not Vegan!

It was lovely to be able to enter an eatery knowing that I would not have to ask 20 questions about food suitability. The owner was very welcoming and wholly enthusiastic about veganism, and he is polite to the enth degree. However, the café is very basic. Unpretentious by name and by nature. I am not tall so I struggled to comfortably reach my food as the chairs are low and the tables high. I felt like a small child in need of a booster seat! I ordered falafel. I could not have been more disappointed. It was bought in, and it had not been warmed up, nor had the pitta pocked in which it was served. The salad garnish left a lot to be desired as there was a lot of brown edged lettuce. While I was there, he did a steady trade in take out, but as he works on his own there were times when he really struggled. It did not take long before he had sold out of food and was turning people away saying he had not expected so many customers!!! I saw about eight other sit in customers, so how many did he anticipate? This place has the potential to be a goldmine as it fills a much needed gap in the growing market of vegetarians and vegans, but he needs to employ some staff and be prepared to have enough food to feed hungry lunchtime customers.

My husband and I popped in to get a cup of tea out of the rain and were delightfully surprised to find a kind a welcoming host amazing cakes (carrot cake and chocolate brownie) and a lot of selection of whatever we wanted to drink. Will definitely be back. Vegan and gluten free too which is a plus.

So my husband and I are neither vegetarian or vegan but don’t let this put you off eating here. We ordered the ‘tagine Tuesday’ dish each, one served with a regular hummus and the other with a flavoured one. Both were absolutely delicious. The food was served piping hot with a seeded flatbread, rice and kale on the side. With a soft drink there was a set price of £5 each which was well worth it. The waiter/owner? couldn’t have been more helpful, even giving me tips on baking vegan cakes as they had such a wonderful selection on sale. I wish I lived nearer as it would definitely be my go-to spot for lunch.

I've never felt the need to write a review, as quite simply, if it's good we'll return if it's bad we won't! However, as we are regular visitors to St Davids to see family, this time, I've had to make an exception. We always like to visit St Davids Cathedral & stop at The Refectory for lunch.. What's gone wrong ? Not much choice as it's a very limited menu. Doesn't seem to be a manager or anyone in charge, it's more like lads on a night out. Bad language, dirty uniforms & very unorganised (putting it politely). We've always enjoyed visiting in the past but this experience makes us not want to come back again. After talking with family about our disappointing visit, we discovered there has been a change in management & staff. Standards have declined, the level of customer service, personal hygiene and food quality are extremely below standard. It's such a shame as previous visits have always been positive even during busy times.

Absolutely amazing food. Excellent service. Nothing is too much trouble. Staff are friendly, chatty & helpful, and it’s clean. Definitely recommend the coronation chicken, cheese salad. Hubby had baked spud first time which he enjoyed & baguette 2nd time each he enjoyed. And the cakes WOW!! I will miss the carrot cake which I highly recommend & the custard slice is just as amazing. The cost is brilliant too. Thanks you Phillys Baguettes

Ordered two crab sandwiches latte and a beer, £35. Staff need a pick me up or it’s been a hard season. The crab sandwich was good, spoonful of coleslaw, frozen chips. Was told to help myself to a glass for the beer, everyone looked not properly washed, picked the cleanest but still had bubbles down inside indicating grease. Latte was tasteless. Not a pleasant experience won’t be back.
