Visited The Habit for breakfast with my sister on Friday and the service was very good as was the food, so we decided to return on Saturday, again for breakfast. What a difference in the service. There were about 5 youngsters working together with an older lady who had worked there on the Friday. This poor lady was running around whilst the youngsters were in the back presumably cooking. We waited for ages to be served as did the table next to us. The cafe was almost half full. Eventually we were served by a young lady who looked as though she didn’t want to be there. We had our tea cakes which were delicious. I went up to the counter to pay and although there were three of the youngsters behind the counter, I was totally ignored for what seemed an age. The older lady was still holding everything together while these youngsters were chatting and joking, oblivious to their customers. Eventually one of them asked “are you okay?” as if I was being a nuisance by waiting there. I told her I wanted to pay but I felt embarrassed at the same time. I should have asked her if “she was okay!” The younger Saturday staff there could do with some good old fashioned customer service training!!

Have visited this cafe a couple of times but yesterday was truly awful. It was disorganised and chaotic with our drinks given to other people. We ordered a bacon and egg sandwich on sourdough. No brown or granary on offer! It was awful. The bacon was almost entirely fat. The egg overcooked and the sourdough was like the sole of a shoe. Tasted very stale. Sadly we wont go back. Overpriced and the worst breakfast sanwich ive ever had.

I have been for lunch and few times at The Golden Lion and it always is such a great meal and overall experience. The atmosphere is always very welcoming and warm, you're always quickly seated! Its a good idea to book a table as it does get very busy due to popularity. Service is always excellent and especially today from our server Lucy! She was very bubbly and brought a smile to our faces and was very attentive to us, couldn't ask for anything more! She always remembers us whenever we go - so thank you and see you soon! Highly recommended for a place to go for lunch in Rosett, especially if you like a nice desert as pictured!

Looked like it would be a cosy pub inside, but it didn't feel inviting at all. Many of the beers were off, and of the few we could have, it tasted like it'd been sitting there for a while. No proper ciders either. Another pub from the Good Beer Guide wherein we don't know why it's there.

Amazing Sunday lunch, starting with the pea and ham soup, served with lovely fresh bread and welsh butter and a smoked duck salad. Mains of the roast beef and the lamb, cooked to perfection with perfect roast potatoes and vegetables. We managed to leave enough room for the cheesecake and the sticky toffee pudding. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area, very friendly and helpful staff who go the extra mile and good value for money.

Although we arrived quite late in the day the staff were welcoming and provided sandwiches with accompanying salad which were obviously freshly made and delicious. The prices were reasonable and the service good. It is obviously a place where locals eat which is always a good recommendation.

Sadly, Mrs Roberts the owner died, such a sad loss and the loss of the most delightful tea room. This was a wonderful tea room and so old,-fashioned, we will greatly miss it, now for sale in July, we hope it will be treated kindly by it's new owners.

My husband and I loved this fabulously individual pub. With its quirky gated door entry system to its stalled seating area. ... we loved it. First you need to find the pub down a side street looking unobtrusive. Secondly, you have to work out how to get in through its door. Read the sign and wait. Thirdly, enter into a magical space of a well stocked bar and well thought seating area to maximise the space within. Finally, park your bottom in one of the seating areas and enjoy the vibe of this funky, friendly and very very interesting pub. We really didn't want to go. No other pub compares to this one and we did try others to give this pub a fair review.
