The what three words for this place should be Fun, alternative, cocktails. Relaxed and student like pub atmosphere with friendly staff.

We had a lovely one night stay. Room is spacious and clean with plenty of clean towels etc. Nice pub attached with great friendly staff. Not much in the close area, parking can be an issue.

A ‘proper’ pub. Huge selection of drinks and a great atmosphere. I love how quirky it is inside. Staff are welcoming and friendly and there is a beer garden if the weather is good! We also stayed in the rooms next door and it was amazing value.

Nice pub and great selection of spirits. Specially enjoyed the Hine.

LOVE this pub. We love a good friendly, qwerky, local pub and this was exactly that. Plenty of selection behind the bar, hotel was good and very accommodating for our last minute booking (so thankyou). Also very considerate in closing the pool room early which was under the room we stayed in so was nice and quiet.

Good cocktails, staff have made me feel very welcome. Freya and adie have been absolutely amazing! Couldn't fault the place even if I tried.

We came in for a pre-dinner pint and we loved this pub. There were plenty of beers on offer, a wide selection of gins and it was nice chatting to the locals. The pub is dog friendly and an excellent place to enjoy a pint

Really friendly bar staff. Dog friendly (our stand-offish dog even made a friend). Super characterful pub. Amazing cocktail menu. Lovely locals!! Couldn't have been a nicer experience (and they leant me a pen to write my postcards)!

Very subjective to who he lets in to his establishment. You want to hope that there is a female in your group as otherwise I wouldn’t bother. Arrogant and self important landlord. Wouldn’t be able to give you a valid reason to your “not tonight sorry” if he tried.

Blocked at front door by a gate!!!! Told no room at the inn but there clearly was. Took our money where it was wanted. Had two lovely nights in the Liverpool Arms ext door.

Visited last night when visiting a friend. We all agreed the cocktails were the best we had had- what a selection and some great recommendations! The landlord is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate. The staff in the pub were really friendly and the atmosphere amongst others around just fabulous. So glad we walked in and not past….. and will be back soon. A fabulous pub.

Upon opening the door around 10pm there was a small wooden bar preventing us from getting in. A member of staff had to physically unlock it before we were allowed in. Some sort of vetting process? Unsure why……

had lunch in here and was met by happy helpful staff who served up excelent food. very good value for money.

We went to the Auckland arms on Sunday, as part of my dads 60th birthday celebration. We chose the pub because it was dog friendly, but we were really lucky to stumble across it. We were asked if we were interested in looking at the cocktail menu, there was a huge selection so we ended up trying them. Well, they tasted incredible! The man who made the cocktail really took pride in them, and came over to speak to us about them. They were just as good (probably better) than any bar I’ve been to in city centre Manchester. He was lovely, and we really enjoyed our visit and was really surprised. What a hidden gem!

Wonderful choice of cocktails and gins. Been here a few times since the end of the lockdowns and every time we visit we are so pleased with the quality of the drinks. The landlord’s passion and extensive knowledge on cocktails is great and he never fails to make a good drink. The pub itself is very homely and I would class as your traditional pub, as opposed to the modern cocktail bar type vibes. The range of cocktails is extensive, and there are a few cocktails where if you pay more money you get the more premium spirits! Highly recommend

An excellent landlord who knows his stuff on drinks. He makes amazing cocktails at a good pric. There is a vast array of spirits and craft beer. He has about 60 bourbons and gins. Its a proper pub , dont except anything fancy.

we had a fab night in here, the staff are amazing and massive shout to Aidy your cocktails are amazing anything I asked for even if it wasnt on the menu blew me away. top guy top bar. we will defo be back thats for sure.

The cocktail menu is extremely extensive and very well priced (eg £6 for a cosmo!) And they're all freshly made. They've planned for covid very well with all staff and customers wearing a mask while indoors (unless drinking indoors). Really friendly staff and a nice little beer garden out the back. Would highly recommend

A lovely (and safe) place for a drink. We were asked to wear masks and sanitise upon entry, and could see screens up separating the tables - we felt so much safer immediately. Can definitely recommend any of their cocktails, they were all delicious! The staff were also very friendly. Really enjoyed our visit :)

The Auckland Arms is one of those rare pubs where everybody mingles rather than staying in isolated groups. There is a fine choice of drinks to choose from and the landlord and staff are very welcoming. They host music sessions twice weekly, both with booked acts and open mic sessions, in fine weather occuring outside in the pleasant beer garden. Highly recommended.

Years ago I frequented The Auck and always enjoyed a decent pint and good atmosphere. Went back for a trip down memory lane but found it closed at a time I'd expect it to be pen, looked a bit shabby and run down and no opening hours posted. Disappointing.

This is the place to chill and experience the amazing offerings from the bar. Always a pleasure to call in.

We popped into this pub to watch the Rugby and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I loved the fact that they also served every kind of tea you can imagine! Thank you

Popped in here for a late night drink on Saturday - hugely busy and bustling as usual. Friendly staff too. Worth a visit.

El Auckland fue recomendado para nosotros por su variedad de ginebras y whiskies y nos sorprendió cómo muchos estaban allí. Las Maltas eran excelentes y el encargado muy bien informados. En la noche siguiente fuimos a probar la ginebras y guau. Sin duda recomiendo una visita.

When you walk in, you are greeted by the warm welcome of the staff...and the amazing spirit bottle collection behind the bar! Can't highlight enough how this place is quirky and able to chill

Nipped in for a late night drink one Friday after dining elsewhere and met up with some friends. It is a welcoming place and I enjoy the occasional drink in there.

Never a trouble. Love this little pub and its crowd. There is usually a good selection of beers and bar staff are more than happy to advise on other drink if unsure.

Called in here before we ate in a restaurant near by had a great time good choice of drinks and Friendly staff.

Friday night attracts a sizeable student population. We were just there for a few drinks. Good selection of beers and spirits (wine less so) and had a pleasant evening. Also tea and coffee.For those quieter evenings they offer a selection of games.

This is a cosy little pub with occasional live music. Had some pre-prandials here one night before heading off to eat locally.

Popped into the Auckland for a pint over the summer months as I was stuck in Menai Bridge for an hour (never an exciting prospect!!) and oh how glad I am that I did!Now I simply must visit each time I find myself in this town, and it's all down to the lovely and welcoming staff. The bar is very well stocked with a wide variety of draft beers, and the ambience is that of a real, "proper" pub - it may be the cosiest place I did ever have a pint.I'll be back soon!! (Couple of great shops a little down the road towards the Straits - big shout out to "The Quayside Buttery" for stocking local beers and fine antiques)

This was a real surprise, we walked in for a drink whilst checking out the Menai Bridge area and didn't expect a lot but this quickly changed when we ordered our drinks. The Bar was extremely well stocked with unusual Gin's, Whisky's and Vodka's and the staff really knowledgeable and interested in talking about them. They asked what we liked and recommended a couple of variations, which was a great change to your normal run of the mill pub.As a previous review has said the owner takes real pride and this is a proper pub.

A very friendly pub with a lovely garden that deserves visiting. Even the 'ladies' has flowers! (So I'm told).We've been visiting for a few years and there is high quality cider and beer (Old Speckled Hen, Doom Bar etc.). Lots of atmosphere and a definite place to talk things nautical.

Called here when we stayed in menai, staff ignored us, when we eventually got served the ale was horrible, won#'t be calling again.

Very laid back place, very nice staff, we had huge burgers and pizza and drinks and had a thoroughly fun time, not the best for children's facilities but parents were well happy with food!!

We were made to feel very welcome at this pub, so much that we made a point of returning later in the evening for a nightcap.

Went here Monday 30th March night as they have a quiz, The weather was awful and we were looking for something to do without having to walk round and round to find something. very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere, decent drink prices and fun quiz even though was a bit out of our league, but that made it more fun. The land lord made us feel very welcome and the free nachos and carrot cake were very much appreciated. Recommended.

We have visited on several occasions just having a light snack but we had a starter and main course meal celebrating my husband's birthday. The menu was very good with a wide number of choices to choose from. The food was excellent as was the service. We will definately be visiting again and would highly recommend this place to anyone. Well worth a visit.

Stayed in twin room which was clean and tidy. Very comfy bed in decent sized room. My room only had a bath no shower which was a pain. Bar well stocked with rums and whiskeys and other spirits. Friendly fella

I've been poping in there every so often over the last year, I thaught I should let more people know.It's not a student pub like you might think, it is very much a mix with the locals. It hasn't had an expensive make over like most of the other places in Menai Bridge. They don't do food, it's just a nice place to go for a drink with some friends. And the real gem is the terraced beer garden, secluded and sunny.
