The Liverpool Arms in Isle of Anglesey

We have been to this pub twice before and had good food and service both times, This time we called in and had coffee first because it was early. We were told which table to have even though people who came later were told they could sit anywhere. We were then told we would have to go to the bar to order drinks but food was table service. Our drinks came we drank them. Another waitress asked if we were having food we said yes but still no one came to take our order. No one told us about the specials board and in the end we went to the bar to give our order. The food looked nice but the chicken was overcooked and dry. There was not much barbecue sauce on the hunters chicken so we were very disappointed. The onion rings and salad were very nice. I wish I'd known about the specials I probably would have picked off there but I only saw the board when I went to the toilet. The toilets by the way were very clean. We just felt we didn't get the service we have had in the past and it spoiled our overall visit to the Liverpool arms in Beaumaris.

Popped in for a drink. Friendly and efficient Bar staff. Great Juke box. Sky sports on a huge screen. Very reasonably priced drinks. It was a Monday so fairly quiet. Recommended.

nice pint, good prices looks like its been refurnished & has a really good atmosphere. staff was friendly enough.

Great staff, really nice establishment,good beer garden, family friendly,dog friendly, good pricing on drinks, nice atmosphere especially on the weekends, often live music or karaoke on the weekends,they have a Facebook page where events are advertised too so worth checking out

If you are in the area you have to call in for a nice cold beer and a chat

Absolutely great place for a couple of drinks and in a relaxing atmosphere. The chap behind the bar when we came in (07.07.2022) was extremely welcoming and was happy to advise on the best beer to buy. Good bunch of lads in the bar too which created a great experience.

Great refurbishment.. Great seats, good for watching football.. Rowdy, singing etc

Maybe a bad day but the gent behind the bar was miserable borderline rude. Drinks were good and the facilities were nice.

Great pub in Amwlch, there was 20 of us at the pub and Dylan behind the bar , made us all feel very welcome. Good prices for drinks and people in the pub friendly and were good to talk to. Thanks Dylan for a really good afternoon.

A friendly pub with great bar staff. Perfect for watching the Live football on weekends and midweek. It had a great atmosphere too and optional quiet back rooms away from the larger groups if needed. An archway also runs through to a side garden area that’s perfect for a drink and fresh air.

Great little pub. Quiet when I went for a pint but service was superb and pint excellent. It would be good for more people to enjoy this little harbour side pub

This pub is not far from the port/dock. There is a beer garden out back and a sports room. They drinks where very well priced compared to other places we have stayed in, in Anglesey. Quiz on a thursday night

This is a great pub located in scenic port. The landlord had made a great effort in setting up drink areas following a strict social distancing rule. Lovely warm welcome atmosphere with the locals telling us what there is to do around the area. Will definitely visit again. Cracking pub.

Not felt welcome by the locals to much drugs being offered there was an atmaosphere that made you want to leave We are down on Holiday I would not go again

This is a friendly pub and is very clean and fresh.

A very friendly pub from the landlord to the locals. Special mention goes to Rebel the dog who my youngest daughter adored. We didn’t eat here so cannot comment on the food, however the draft Magners was excellent!

Visited the pub recently with a family group for Sunday lunch Was impressed with food and range of food offered but particularly with the hard working landlord and staff who did their best to ensure every need was catered for and that we were made to feel very welcome. Only disappointment was no real ale However,this was only a minor issue in what was a good afternoon.

Not my kind of place. More of a younger persons pub only does limited larger NO CASK ALE. Does food but DIDN'T eat so no comment. You may like it worth trying for 1 to see what you think.

Check out this happy face! That’s me enjoying Possibly best fish and chips ever after backpacking 16 miles on the Wales coastal path today! We are staying in the garden here after dinner! Grateful for the hospitality of the residents of Wales! We loved the food and the vibe at The La diner at The Liverpool arms. We did 90 miles on the Wale Coastal Path on Anglesey and these guys were so welcoming for me and my son after a long and tiring day. Plus we got to watch the original Superman on the big screen TV when the game was over, we got help charging our devices, and had great internet! There's an outdoor patio plus a big grassy area where kids can play. Very family friendly -- very friendly!

What a brilliant day watching the rugby in a pub with great atmosphere.

Pub was a mess due to renovation, beer was still great and the host very friendly we were made very welcome and even had a box of chips brought over from the local chippy by the landlord. Cheers

Good night out with my son . It's my local ,proper pub , Andy the landlord offered free jukebox and gave us a generous amount of tokens for free pool .Being Man City fans we could even take the mickey out of Andy cos he follows Utd. Live footy also on a large screen .

Couldn’t fault our visit tonight. Great landlord, excellent bar staff and good food. Sky Sports on the big screen too. Recommended.

Sure Hope Church, Old Colwyn visited Amlwch as part of their annual Wildfires Revival Conference, and this year we enjoyed a fabulous buffet lunch at the Liverpool Arms after a tiring coach journey. Andy and his team, provided a great buffet meal for all the delegates. It was a great selection of sandwiches, pizza slices, pork pies, and lots of nibbles etc at a brilliant price. Great value. Even the weather behaved itself, and a large number of folks enjoyed their lunch in the garden area. Great food, great service, and a high level of attention and care. Thanks for a great lunch.... No complaints, just very hungry folks made very happy!

We’re staying in the area and called in for tea. The staff were friendly and the food was nice. If you’re in the area it’s worth calling in.

While in Amlwch we popped in to see if they served food. The landlord was very friendly and welcoming. The food was really good and value for money. We had a very pleasant evening.

While on holiday watched the England match here with the host & a few locals! Really great crowed and very welcoming

Great little pub, which pulled out the stops to put together some very tasty sandwiches, even though the village was basically closed for half day trading. Very helpful owner. Needs some attention and is a work in progress..... But they are certainly trying hard, and will no doubt achieve. 😎

We had walked the coastal path and called in for a well deserved drink afterwards with our dog. As we walked in the landlord gave us a hot towel for our dog, along with biscuits. We were made to feel so very welcome. A good choice of beers and also a good menu for food. The place was very clean and really friendly. We will return. Thankyou.

Currently visiting the area staying in a local b&b. Had a walk down to the Liverpool arms for a couple of drinks, really friendly landlord. Other customers and the barmaid lovely and chatty. Ended up staying there a few hours having drinks and playing pool. would definitely recommend this pub and would return again!

We stayed in July in the rooms above, which were amazing value for money. Andy and the bar staff were so welcoming. Nothing was a problem! Fish n chips were fab, range of drinks and prices were great and our room was clean and comfortable. Rebel the dog was another added bonus to our lovely 3 night stay in the town of Amlwch.

We visited The Liverpool Arms yesterday, tempted in by the friendly landlord who saw us wandering around aimlessly and gave us directions to local shops, beach etc.

Went to watch a football match on the large screen in the lounge. Friendly staff who remembered my order and pleasant regulars.

Llamado en sólo después de las 6 de la tarde y el camarero amable pronto sirve mi pescado, patatas fritas y guisantes esposa (blanda o jardín - a su elección) con una rebanada de pan y mantequilla, mientras que yo opté por la sobresaliente de 10 onzas y patatas fritas. Las comidas eran deliciosos y buena relación calidad-precio a £7.50 cada una. Gente amable en el bar y un buen ambiente hicieron que nuestra visita fuera agradable.

Habíamos pescado, patatas y guisantes blandos. El pescado y las patatas fritas eran muy buenos. Llegamos antes de que estaban abiertas para las comidas, pero el dueño hizo todo lo posible para nosotros y nos preparó una cena enseguida. Recomiendo la comida y sin duda volveremos.

Arrived late afternoon early evening asked if food was being served and yes it was. Fish and chips, scampi and chips all made freshly by the very friendly barkeeper. Pub had a really good atmosphere, will go again next time we are that way.

Nos sentimos muy bienvenidos por el propietario cuando llegamos con nuestros dos perros. Los perros nos dieron agua y un tazón de galletas. Los cuatro adultos comimos un delicioso pescado y patatas fritas fresco para nosotros.

Beautiful food. Warm, friendly and welcoming family run pub restaurant. And they do real chips...and the best Sunday dinner on anglesey!
