Absolutely disgusting customer service. We were waiting for family to meet us before heading in as a group for drinks, we were greeted by the owner or chef (not sure which) asking what we were doing and instructing us to get out of her car park. We were planning to be paying customers. We went in to ask if she was ok with us coming in and she said she didn’t want us to come in as we hadn’t rang ahead.

My wife and I were staying in a B&B in Berriew which didn’t cook evening meals on a Sunday, so we decided to try this inn for our dinner. We arrived without reservations, but were quickly shown to a table by a very pleasant member of staff who immediately took our drinks order. The drinks arrived and we ordered our food soon after. It didn’t take long for the food to arrive, and it looked very well presented. My wife had lasagne, which she told me was hot and tasty, however my steak and ale pie with chips was not quite so. Again, my meal was hot, but the meat in the pie was very grisly, which was a shame as the pastry was excellent. The chips and beans with my meal were first class, so absolutely no problems with them. As we ate our meal the chef came out and asked if everything was okay with the food. I told him about the meat in the pie, to which he laughed and then walked away. Now, what’s the point in asking me about my meal if you are not going to take action when you receive such a comment? Anyway, we finished the meal and went up to the bar to pay, at which time we were asked again if all was okay. I told the member of staff at the bar about the meat and this time it had a totally different outcome, in that someone, whom I took to be the manager, became involved, and she showed concern about the fact that my meal had not been perfect. She also told me that she would be having words with the supplier about said pie. We ended the conversation coming to an amicable agreement of a goodwill gesture, so I’m more than happy with the outcome. If it had not have been for the issue with the pie then this meal would have been almost perfect, in that the staff were lovely, the restaurant was clean and in a good state of decoration, and the service was first rate. My only other comment would be that the prices were a tad dearer than around my home city of Leicester, but not unusual for a country inn.

Absolutely disgraceful attitude towards disabled people. My friends and I visited, having paid for an evening of live entertainment. However, as I am a wheelchair user I was verbally abused by the owner. She physically moved me and my wheelchair into a corner and called me an obstruction. When I then left a review, via facebook, she went onto my business page & left all sorts of absurd comments in some vile attempt to damage me. She is a nasty piece of work and the venue treats it's customers abysmally. I will never return.

Stopping in Newquay for a few days to celebrate my birthday and couldn’t decide on where to eat. Called in here on the off chance of a table and so glad they had. The dining room was exceptionally clean and presented, the staff extremely pleasant and helpful and understood my gluten intolerance which gave me confidence to eat their food .The food was of the highest quality and plentiful, the homemade curry was so tasty.

OK Chai overview: Bit too spicy for us. It was OK Chai. Room for improvement of recipe and blend. Price of Chai (regular): £3.85 - O Coffee one was okay. The chai was a little inconsistent and clumpy but you know what, IT TRIED. And that is what matters most. What are we all if not a little inconsistent and clumpy? A little rough around the edges? I know I am. I appreciated the chai, and I will continue to do so. I also liked the barista dude he's a nice guy. - Overall rating 3/5 - <3 3.5/5 - Spice 3/5 - Consistency 2/5 - Price 3/5 - K I love coffee one's atmosphere. Very studious, however the chai recipe still needs to learn a lot. It was OK Chai, not blown away by it, but it wasn't bad. Very much in the middle, not failing, but not excelling. This is really reflected through the consistency, which felt a little gritty under the teeth. However, the staff were so lovely and they are absolutely amazing. A* for them. The Chai however? Solid C grade. - Overall rating 2.9/5 - Price 2.8/5 - Spice 3/5 - Milk options 4/5 - Smooth 2/5

Visited for a Sunday Lunch which I have to say was the best I’ve had in a long time. I had the roast beef and my partner had roast pork. Both were delicious. We both had apple crumble and custard for pudding which was to die for. You can tell it was all homemade which was a bonus! We have booked to come back in a few weeks it was so nice! The staff were friendly and attentive and service was very quick.

Shocking. A surly individual behind the bar grunted at us on arrival. We asked about food and we were told about the limited menu because of a gas issue. This consisted of sandwich type food only, and not served until 5.00pm, despite the website saying it was open all day. Whilst I understand that there was a gas supply problem, in truth even if there hadn't been, it was not the sort of place I would actually eat in!!! The whole place looked tired, dirty and run down. The car park had rubbish all over the place. It's all clearly seen better days. We found a local fish and chip shop instead which was good.

Second time I’ve stayed here. This is a wonderful character pub with rooms. You get a very friendly greeting. The rooms are freshly decorated and spotlessly clean And the beds are so comfortable. Downstairs the bar is always busy with friendly locals. The beer is very well looked after and there is good choice of so many drinks. The food is always really good - lots of choice. Always seems to be some fish choices and it’s all delicious. Percy, the landlord is local and knows the area well so is able to help you find the best Places to visit while you are staying. His family support him in running this charming Pub. I’ll be back for longer next time. Thank you Percy. A very good place to stay.

We like the Coffee No 1 chain and as we were in Cardigan on holiday, we popped in their coffee shop, along with the dog, for a short while. As with all Coffee No 1 shops, the staff are lovely - they even gave us a bowl of water for the dog. The coffees and Welsh cakes are delicious and all in all, we spent a lovely 40 minutes or so in the shop.

My son and I were travelling through Wales last week and stopped at the Green Dragon for some food. We were met with a wonderfully warm Welsh welcome. The food was excellent and great value. The place has a great atmosphere with a quirky antiquities shop attached, where you could browse and pick up an item of yesteryear. There is a lovely fireplace, sadly not lit when we visited, but I could imagine whiling away a few hours in front of the fire in winter. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

I had not visited Lampeter since my studying days many, many years ago and so during a long anticipated visit over the weekend with my wife I was both surprised and excited to see my old favourite haunt Conti’s still going! Perhaps it was better left as a memory… What little food they had available was just ‘ok’, the obviously bought-in cake selection looked pitiful and the coffee was lukewarm and bitter. Apparently it is still run by the family but sadly it’s not a patch on the cafe run by good old Mr Conti - what was once a bright, warm and lively eatery is now a dark, quiet and unwelcoming place where customers are seemingly an inconvenience - god forbid you disturb the young boy behind the counter, his phone is obviously far more important than us mere customers… The only redeeming feature is that the ice cream is still as fantastic as it ever was! Perhaps I am now a grumpy old man, held back by nostalgia, but I simply had to express my disappointment in a once much beloved, perhaps even ‘famous’ establishment that I know many were so fond of! I’m sure my wife must have thought me mad to have raved about the place for so long. Sorry Conti’s but I will be erasing this visit from my memory!

I Searched on Google for places open in Brecon at the time we were there, This looked good in images with a menu to suit us, so we went in, Almost immediately realised the menu I read on line with photos, was for food in packets pre made and warmed up not fresh prepared, Cold sausage panini cold bacon in paninis, cheese and mushroom on toast pre made, in a fridge wrapped in plastic packets did not scream quality, bit like costa food, all to be warmed up or re heated was not what I hoped or indeed bought, re heated bacon or re heated sausage did not inspire me. Instead, we had a coffee and a hot chocolate which were good, and a Croissant and Pan au Chocolate and were really only...OK. The building is interesting and full of character lovely in fact with a lot of effort with great design. But the lack of on premises prepared food of the type we went in to buy, the lack of cleanliness of building with dirty windows with cobwebs decorating the corners of where we sat, broken light fitting above us and others with many dead insects inside did little to impress. We felt like we interrupted the staff by ordering food, who were deep in conversation with each other when we came in and continued deep in conversation while we ordered. We were hungry and thirsty, so we had something to eat and drink to tide us over. Such a shame with a beautiful building nicely decorated full of style. Look like someone had made a lot of effort setting up this business but not day to day running of it. If in Brecon I would suggest looking around at others as there are many, as the online image of this did not match reality in many areas. Or at least on the day we visited. We a little later ate elsewhere in Brecon which was all fine. Maybe we just arrived on a bad day.
