I noticed Three app was offering £1 coffee on the weekly Coffee Network and thought I would try this wee place! Apparently quite a iconic wee cafe. Straight away was welcomed and apparently I was first person to use this scheme! Lots of jars of old school sweeties and had a lovely vibe with juke box! Been going to the Kandy for years and it never lets you down, great service, staff always smiling and the food is excellent.

Dog friendly and disabled accessible not at all. After booking lunch and asking about the accessible assess for a tour I was told not a problem for both but on arrival only assistance dogs and no lift to get upstairs for lunch. A real waste of my time. Lots of staff standing around chatting. Might be nice whiskey but not great service

Told it was dog friendly. As we walk in someone shouts "Get that f**king dog away from me." The dog in question was on a two point lead and nowhere near the complainant, who was clearly inebriated. Sent to the garden out the back to sit with a ladder and abandoned fridge. Pint was cheap. That's a plus. Won't serve cups of tea, even to a designated driver.

This place is warm, cosy, friendly, and makes simple v tasty, well seasoned food. The prices are good, the service comes with a smile. It's a bit like being looked after by your your grandma who likes to spoil you. This is not fine dining. It's better than that, as it's like being part of their family.

It is a small family run restaurant and coffee . We come here most Mondays for lunch . Staff always take care of all customers.very reasonably priced but always get good food

Came in on a Wednesday evening about 2 hours before they closed, wasn’t majorly busy, only wanted a few takeaway dishes and service was shocking made us feel so uncomfortable. Stood for 5 minutes with staff walking by us like we were invisible and then asked if we were “ok”. Told abruptly that they weren’t doing food for the rest of the night and that was that, no explanation or apologies. Such a shame as the food is amazing but being made to feel like a hassle as a customer is not great.

First time in the Puffers cafe... amazing choice of menu, staff are lovely, excellent service and food was well worth its money... Will deffo be back to try more of the menu.

Small post funeral buffet here. Very nice place, not too big and ideal for our needs. Can't fault any of the staff or service on the day or when booking prior to that. Only very tiny point I could make is that there was too much mayo on the sandwiches....but probably a matter of personal taste as much as anything. Certainly thinking of going back sometime for a proper meal.

Not only do they do amazing coffee the staff are the people who make this branch , on every visit you find them the same they always have a smile and can do attitude, you don’t see this very often and it makes you happy to visit. Well done guys don’t ever change , should be recognised by management

Great venue we enjoy breakfast at least three times a week sometimes even for lunch so much so the staff even remember our order, 😀 now that is Good service. Evening our server Emma was great and extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
