We’re new to the area and have happily discovered Si, food is good , staff are great and the big plus is it’s dog friendly Large car park also

Lovely place to meet for drinks and something to eat. Interesting decor with nice taste in music. Great place to relax and pass time with friends and family. Plenty of parking, close to town centre and handy for main bus route. Welcoming for dogs.

We had afternoon tea, the sandwiches were a bit dry, also one small pack of jam for scones and a very small portion of cream. Not asked if we would like a top up of tea. The cakes were very disappointing and lacked any flavour.

The food was lovely although pricey. The service was good although they offered me a reward card then came back to say they didn't have any! It was a nice relaxing atmosphere.

Food, service, and atmosphere was all excellent. Our server Casey was extremely helpful with any questions we had and also very forthcoming with info about menu and loyalty club.

We arrived at the Potting Shed for breakfast and were seated promptly by Chloe. The main dining area is warm, inviting and cosy. Dogs are also accommodated in a separate, equally inviting area. Unfortunately there was a solo pup vocalist who was a wee bit louder than polite conversation, but the overall atmosphere definitely made up for it! The Steak & Eggs breakfast was served on a large piece of sourdough, steak & peppercorn sauce, two fried eggs and two hash browns, with more peppercorn sauce. Everything was cooked well, the steak wasn't chewy, and the bread not being toasted worked way better than it would have toasted. Personally, I would ask for less peppercorn sauce next time, as I found it a little overpowering, and I would ask for the eggs cooked a little less firm than they were, but obviously that's just personal preference. The 3 Pigs Baguette is a real sausage topped with thick bacon bits, pulled pork and cabbage 'slaw. The baguette was crispy outside & soft inside, and was thoroughly enjoyed by my dining partner. The quality and presentation of the food is simple and appetising. We will be returning to sample the Brunch & Drinks! Kudos to Chloe for her stellar service!

Visited on spec for a meal, got a table and had a wonderful meal. Staff very polite and attentive, food choices were great and very tasty! Will definitely be back again soon!

We came for a birthday celebration as a large group. Nothing was too much for the servers - excellent service from start to finish. Incredible food and drinks too. Will definitely be back!

We had a lovely lunch here on a Saturday. The only problem I had was that the background music was too loud for me. We were seated near a speaker and as I have hearing difficulties I found it very difficult to hear what my two companions were saying which took away some of the enjoyment but the food was good and staff attentive. Easy for parking and good vegetarian choices.

We love going to Si. Beautiful ambience excellent staff. The sharing platter wasn't our thing, but any of the other food we've had has been scrumptious. Overall a big thumbs up

Nice enough place, food was ok but slow service sadly. Compounded by noisy folk in the booth next to our seats which sort of ruined the majority of the evening.

Has to be one of the best afternoon teas we’ve had! The food was delicious and we love the new look of the restaurant. Felt the service was a bit slow, had to go looking for someone a few times but they were all super friendly and nothing was any trouble. Would highly recommend!

Unfortunately my husband was ill, so I got our afternoon tea as a take away, it’s the worst afternoon tea I have ever had. We couldn’t eat the 2cm cakes as they were mush, the scones were 3cm they were white in the middle very cheap may have been frozen , it really was bad.

A get together with school friends a lovely boozy lunch. Only comment I would have is why don't you have a separate frier for people who have celiac disease ...as chips would have been lovely. The staff were lovely and very attentive we will definitely be back

The terrace hoedown was good fun, the buffet was delicious and had a good range to choose from. One of our guests was gluten free/celiac and enjoyed her separate plate of dishes. Bar service was great! I would've liked to hear some more old country songs, Tammy Wynette, Billy Jo Speirs, Dolly etc but other than that, well done, we all enjoyed it

Staff are very welcoming and fuss over my dog, who loves their sausages. Coffee is served piping hot which is a must for me , and the poached eggs are perfect!

We gave this place another chance after few bad experiences we were pleasantly surprised They now take bookings also on line even just for 2. They have a dedicated sitting space for people with dogs, which is great. Food has improved maybe they could focus on a better presentation on the plating by making it look prettier. They also have a limited selection of syrups no hazelnut no pumpkin spice. Stuff is very friendly which makes the whole experience nice.

Great venue we enjoy breakfast at least three times a week sometimes even for lunch so much so the staff even remember our order, 😀 now that is Good service. Evening our server Emma was great and extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

My partner and I visit regularly and always enjoy our time at Si! The staff are always super friendly and reasonable prices with good sized portions

The food is amazing quality and excellent price. We all got the Scottish breakfast and said it was the best we ever had, a wee bit of everything and came out very fast!! highly recommend:)

We visited this restaurant while in town visiting family, and we had a fantastic time! The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. A special shoutout to Declan, who was incredibly attentive throughout our visit and made sure we had everything we needed. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area!

We visited your establishment, but unfortunately, we were disappointed with the level of service. 1. No one greeted us upon arrival, even though the staff saw us enter. 2. We had to wait for the menu, as it was not brought to us immediately. 3. The tables were dirty and not cleaned, which left a bad impression. 4. We were given an incomplete menu, while other guests were offered a special Sunday deal, which we were not informed about. 5. Overall, the service was extremely poor—lack of attention to guests and staff negligence ruined the experience, despite the cozy atmosphere of the place. We would like to understand the reason for these shortcomings and hope that the service in your establishment improves in the future.

We were in for afternoon tea, which was delicious. The only downside was we had to ask for the Tea and eventually got it at the end. I’d have preferred the Tea with the sandwiches and scones.

Highly recommend the boozy brunch menu. Phone was amazing, cocktails were spectacular and the service was bang on. We can't wait to return

Came for a lunch at the Potting Shed, we had the Salmon Philly at nearly $12. Was the most disappointing sandwich for the price. Bread was a little stale, a measly bit of salmon but the cream cheese was nice. $12 for a sandwich, will not be back

We came for the brunch for my friends 50th birthday yesterday. What a superb day!!! We all had a ball, the venue is beautiful, the staff were great with us and very friendly. The food was also really nice. Highly recommend this day out . DJ and saxophonist were superb too.

We had afternoon tea. The girl who served us was lovely but we were very disappointed with the food. When I booked this, I asked for sandwiches to be served without butter. Our server told us she had that noted. When the food was brought out, the sandwiches were buttered. They took them away and replaced them. The bread was hard, it had clearly been lying out for a while. The scones and muffins were both very dry and definitely not fresh. The smaller cakes were lovely. The tea was nice and we would have liked to order another pot but couldn’t see any servers, to ask. The Potting Shed is a nice venue and the staff on duty were all very nice but sadly we won’t return due to the food being poor

On arrival at 6pm advised kitchen closing at 7pm and restaurant closing at 8 pm as Winter hours. I didn't see this on webpage when I booked. Staff not very attentive, had to keep asking for things. Felt like we were being rushed out door. Food not the best, could of been warmer. In my opinion not worth £16.95 for chicken tempura, overpriced. I got 40% discount with Simpsinn card which was good considering I was not really impressed with the food. Don't think I will be rushing back, sorry.

Had a lovely dinner with family: mixture of vegetarians and meat eaters and both catered for well, decision on what to choose only helped by deciding to try other prospective choices on a subsequent visit! Staff, Casey and Sajan, were attentive and helpful (but not over the top which I don’t particularly like). Food was great and good sized portions. It is not the cheapest, however pretty standard prices for similar places nowadays. Took advantage of taking out a loyalty card which gives 40% off this month, so that paid for the starters! Loved the decor - hadn’t been in since prior to the big refurb, and I much prefer it now. Will absolutely go back.

Boozy Bells on The Terrace at Si on Hogmanay with family was a great night. Lovely setting, hot buffet had a good selection of tasty food. Well organised and friendly staff helped create a good atmosphere. The DJ was outstanding with perfect mix of set to cater for the fab mix of ages/people celebrating. DJ games were fun getting everybody up and joining in, nothing too outrageous or regrettably embarrassing! Initially thought the £49.95 per head ticket was a little bit steep but actually was well worth it. Would do it again.

Walk in booking for 2 meals Sunday evening. Beautiful setting and decor but surprisingly quiet. Lacked a little on the atmosphere front. Polite prompt service from both members of staff who served us. Ordered chorizo croquette and garlic mushrooms as starters, both tasty and the mushrooms was a large , filling portion that came with bread. Fish and chips main and cajun chicken pasta main, both large portions. I would defo ask for a smaller portion size next time, could not finish the pasta. overall a lovely unplanned dinner out.

This was for New Years Eve. The music was brilliant a great mixture we loved it the DJ. There was such a lovely atmosphere and the staff were amazing. The only thing I wasn't to keen on was the choice of food for the buffet but they can't please everyone. It would not stop me going there again for New Year

Thought we'd give the potting shed a go for breakfast I opted for full scottish and wife had some mushrooms on toast , was slightly concerned when both dishes arrived almost immediately after being ordered , so clearly not cooked to order , having said that I thoroughly enjoyed everything on the plate , so does a breafast need to be cooked fresh to be enjoyably, clearly not , service was great , our server was very attentive so no complaints there , possibly slightly overpriced when you add on toast and coffee it's about £16 which for breakie is a bit expensive, but will happily return .

Really nice place serving brunch and breakfast type dishes from their daytime menu. Plenty of cakes, coffees and soft drinks to choose from - in addition to alcohol drinks too. Friendly staff and a really nice atmosphere.

Full Scottish breakfast was ok - didn’t eat the black pudding as I prefer Stornoway. Toast was overdone & cold. My son enjoyed his breakfast but was disappointed after asking his beans be in a small pot rather than on the plate but they were on the plate.

Family and l are regular customers to Si as we reside in the post code area. On Saturday 30 November l arrived at Si for a drink and some food at around 6pm and was aggressively told by a member of staff l could not sit on the seating area as these were reserved. 2 other people dining at the bar/ restaurant with no reserve bookings on the tables.I moved without any reply as l was shocked and disgusted at the staff members unprovoked verbal attack. Did discuss politely with the female manager. Unfortunately l did not receive any genuine apology or explanation to the discriminatory and aggressive way l was spoken too and left the establishment after my drink. To the owners and management team, some members of your staff team require training on basic manners and core family values. To Jack l had a good discussion with you last year about some of your staffs attitude towards the paying public as this is becoming a common theme. Work to be done very bad reflection on the owners. We were at the breakfast with Santa, we really enjoyed it. Everything about it was brilliant, Santa was fab with our kid and loved his gift! The breakfast was lovely we all enjoyed our breakfasts, the staff were very accommodating also and attentive. The atmosphere was lovely and so relaxed which we enjoyed also. The service was great as always and very festive feeling.

Portion size was very small for the price. Chips were just frozen fries. Cost didn't really meet the effort required to.make the meal. Pot of tea for nearly 4 pounds was a bit steep too. Service was great and atmosphere was pleasant.

I really enjoyed my time here! The staff were very kind! When I mentioned my gluten intolerance they were very helpful and provided me with different options that they could do for me. The supervisor and the staff member worked extremely well!

Attended Boozy Brunch. Had the best time. Stevie was great at creating a great party atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back in Feb for my cousins bday!

We went for my sisters birthday, staff lovely as was the food. The men had fish and chips and asked for vinegar only to be told we have ran out of vinegar. Minor, I know but you are a restaurent !. Nice touch bringing my sister a bit of cake and candle, thanks.

I had the Cajun chicken and chorizo salad was very yummy, staff can’t do enough for you. Lovely atmosphere. Dog friendly.

I was visiting my family in Perceton for a week and took my granddaughter there for a late lunch, as a treat, because I hadn’t seen her since February. We both chose the waffles option. I went for the bacon and she went for the buttermilk. My meal was almost cold, the waffles were dry, the bacon was more like cardboard, neither undercooked, nor overcooked and crispy, just dry, like strips of leather, certainly not newly cooked for me and I'd stake my reputation that the maple syrup was not maple syrup, but maple flavoured syrup which was much too sweet to be pure! My granddaughter's chicken was dry and over-fried - it actually looked burned - and when she tried to cut it the breadcrumbs flaked off in chunks and she struggled to cut through the tiny thin piece of chicken hidden inside each piece, as it was so tough (buttermilk chicken is supposedly marinated to tenderise it!!). Had I been asked at any time by the staff if the meal was OK, I would have enlightened them, but nobody bothered, not something I encounter very often nowadays as customer satisfaction is (or should be) important! At least the young man who served us was very polite and pleasant, but never at any time when he visited to clear our table, both plates still having food left on them, nor when I went to pay the bill did he ask if we'd enjoyed our meal. So all in all £27.20 was too much to pay for such disappointing food. The photo attached is what my granddaughter left on her plate, which is basically all the overcooked, rock hard breadcrumbs and I tried some of her chicken because my 3 pathetic rashers of bacon were so bad. And you can see part of the 2 quarters of waffle I left on my plate! I don't normally leave bad reviews, but this visit just left me so angry and disappointed!

All good apart from the table we were sat at was on the left hand side that i assumed was for mainly bar drinks or coffees. I had reserved a table and just thought we would have been given a table in the restaurant area.

We had a great delicious meal and both service and environment were top class. Definitely recommend visiting Potting shed and will be back again.

Unfortunately wasn't the best, the positives - really lovely venue, music was brilliant, the DJ was really good . The not so greats .the food was good but unfortunately it was almost cold, the heaters underneath the food trays weren't on. The pancakes and french toast got restocked as soon as we had sat down, plates were tiny, again after we sat down they brought bigger plates out. It was cold in the venue or certainly where we were sitting, then the air con also came on and it was freezing. We did ask to get this switched off, which they did. Cocktail choice was really limited. We did go downstairs twice to pay for a cocktail of our choice but on the 3rd occasion they refused for health & safety reasons as someone else had smashed a glass. I ordered a coffee for my friend at our bar, which was brought up the stairs..so it's ok to bring a hot drink up but not a cold one? We booked this in July with no mention it was Halloween themed, would have been good to have been told this at the time or even in the reminder email. Was really looking forward to the day but don't think we will do again. Will stick to downstairs as it's always lovely in The Potting Shed.

Afternoon tea was lovely but staff were not very attentive we had to seek them out 3 times to ask for cutlery, tea & a drink which we had ordered on booking.

Went in for breakfast place is lovely orders the full breakfast with a latte…latte was brought out long before breakfast and was finished before breakfast arrived…black pudding and haggis was cold the mushrooms must have been boiled had no taste to them at all quality of the bacon wasn’t best either defo not the best breakfast I’ve had for the price think I’ll stick to the niche

We had early dinner here on the 6th May and loved the food, attention to detail and service provided (we were served by Nicole D and another girl & they looked after us). Highly recommend.

Much better than last Marymass. Better choices on menu and good service. We enjoyed our lunch and was not rushed to leave the table when finished. I would recommend.

Massively disappointed for the first time. This is a place I've raved about, especially when The Terrace did the Sunday Roast which was sensational!! However today my starter came out with my main, so I left the start so my hot food wouldn't be cold when I got to it. I was never asked if everything is ok which should've happened at least once! And finally, when putting an online reservation in I didn't think dog allergies counted as special requirements as I'd never seen dogs in before. And they made me ver6 uncomfortable! I don't need any contact regarding this matter.

On arrival yesterday we were told there was likely to be a 30 minute wait for the food as only one chef on duty. This was fine with us and appreciated being told in advance. The food was lovely when it arrived and all staff very attentive. A lovely Birthday celebration for our daughter.
