The food was brilliant, lovely atmosphere and very personalised service. My Mum said it was the best potato and leek soup she's ever had. Will definitely be back for cocktails and more food!

I think this is about the best cooked breakfast I have had in Aberdeen. Mostly, I am disappointed with most cafe breakfasts. Either small portions, no veg (mushrooms and tomatoes). I sometimes order veggie breakfasts and they are usually diabolical based around some cremated cheap veggie sausage and one lone mushroom at a high cost. Well, this definitely wasn't the case here. We had a full breakfast for £11 and the full veggie (with the veggie lorne sausage substituted for bacon (not a veggie but like veg). Portions were generous, beans, hash browns, loads of mushrooms, 2 halves of tomato, toast, egg, tattie scone, avocado two slices of bacon (plus black pudding, sausage and bacon on the other one) Seriously, this is the only place that can make a decent full breakfast that I have set foot in Aberdeen. Plenty of other stuff on the menu too, and the coffee was good.

Really good food, amazing service and decor. The atmosphere is great and the whole experience is pretty decent with the staff telling you about the dishes and inspiration. If you have quite an appetite you might leave still hungry but it's about the tastes and experience not cramming your face with lots of food.

the service staff/bartenders are always an absolute pleasure to be served by!! i’m always greeted with a smile and warm chit chat and as always the best cocktails! No where else i’d rather spend my time after a long shift, the staff are an absolute credit to the business!

Very rude and unfriendly staff, I don't appreciate as a delivery rider being spoken to like I'm stupid. I was told an order would be 3 mins, after 6 mins, I went up to ask how long will it be? And I was told "if you're not happy, get out, leave!" I never said I wasn't happy, I simply asked how long the order would be. After trying to explain I was shut down by 2 members of staff and then who I think was the manager came and shouted at me further and told me to never come back. I will never be back as a customer or as delivery rider. Worst customer service ever.

I drove 8 hours specially to visit Balmoral. It was easy to find and not as far from the car park as I thought the walk would be. Not having been before I wasn't sure what to expect from the grounds but thought it may be bigger than this. Even so I spent a good 4 hours there. Staff were friendly and the whole place extremely tidy and well cared for. Pity it was so much for the tour of the house or for the afternoon tea. Not sure why these tickets were £100. I felt there could have been a few more benches around especially on the river Bank. I struggled to find somewhere to sit. The shop was extremely expensive. I always wonder why places like his charge so much. If things were a reasonable price more would be sold and a profit would still be made. Couldn't justify £40 for hand and body lotion! All in all thought lovely visit and glad I went. The weather was good thankfully as most time was spent outside. Don't think I would have enjoyed it as much if it was raining. Hope to be back in the future.

The pleasing and restful atmosphere of the Waterstones bookshop cafe (Bon Accord) was enhanced by a delightful young lady named Emma. Courtious, engaging, communicative, thoughtful and with a lovely sense of humour, made my day. I was feeling rather under the weather due to a tiresome head cold and my hearing was muted - I explained this to Emma - she offered sympathy, asked me to sit down and she would deliver my order to my table - this see did promptly complete with a joke about the enormous receipt for a small purchase. Many, many of the young folks who work in shops in Aberdeen city centre could learn a great deal from this young woman! 10 out of 10 Emma.
