The place is nicely decorated inside and has an interesting decor which myself and my friend enjoyed. When we came to the place there was no one inside apart from ourselves. The menu is strange, in a sense that there is very little variety in choice, it looks like there is enough but at the same time there wasn’t much. The starter was advertised to have mozzarella as the main item but it was the least used product and the most was carrot, then the main which was an Asian plate with chicken and rice, had overcooked rice but the ratio of chicken and rice was good. Prices are quite high considering the quality of the food and the choices I wouldn’t go there again. Overall the experience wasn’t awful and the food wasn’t disgusting but it just wasn’t for us.

The Pier does 3 types of vegan/plant based ice cream pots. Went for the chocolate and it was lovely to enjoy outside on a sunny day. Extra gooey bits throughout, really tasty! I went late afternoon so it was quiet. Clean inside. The staff were lovely. A nice spot to visit

Me and my partner visited on a busy day it was quite busy but we’re willing to wait as we’d heard good things about the café, menu looked good and line moved quickly Staff serving were also lovely and friendly. I ordered a prawn panini and my partner had a pulled pork sandwich also got some coffee and cakes which were delicious, however when the food arrived to the table we were a bit disappointed with it. My partners pulled pork bun stated that it was meant to come with cheese however it didn’t and was just a circle of pulled pork that looked like it had come from a pack the side salad and crisps were also disappointing and his crisp portion just seemed to be what you’d get at the bottom of the bag no real crisp loads of salad but a forkful of coleslaw? Staff seemed busy so didn’t want to bother them and also not their fault they only served the food not made it.

Mixed experience at Trellis. The cafe itself is lovely and clean and the cakes on offer are amazing and so lovely! Ideal for a coffee and cake stop! The menu for breakfast feels a little limited. Many of the dishes feel “egg heavy” but there are some other options. I feel like they are missing an opportunity for a brunch menu. Our recent experience was very mixed as we loved the food and coffees but the noise of the cafe in the bottom section was incredibly loud, and service was quite poor (uninterested staff, hard to get their attention). It could’ve been a bad and busy morning but it did stick with us and mirrors some of the other recent reviews. Please get back to the old Trellis we love and remember!

Stopped here for a quick bite for lunch on Monday 29th March 2021. I had egg mayo and onion sandwich and my partner had a cheese and tuna sandwich, both were on white bread. They were made fresh and we sat in the square to eat them. Absolutely delicious. Egg Mayo tasted delicious and the bread was fresh. Plenty of filling in both sandwiches. Tuna and cheese was delicious also. Will definitely be back! Lovely woman served us, very friendly.
