The strawberry Bakewell and Turkish Delight traybake were gorgeous, the coffee very good. Thank you!

We stopped off here and had the soup, garlic bread coffee and cakes. All were absolutely delicious! The Tuscan sausage soup was very tasty and the cake very light. Coffee very nice to. We will certainly be back.

The best flat white I’ve had since arriving from Australia. Lovely crème, fresh coffee flavour, perfect temp. Hubby had a slice which he said was moorish, apparently an old school lunch provision for the locals. Great selection of home made food and a gracious host.

A great place for a coffee and a scone or lunch. Food is always fresh and tasty, friendly service, good wee shop attached too for picking up the essentials.

Really yummy cakes and lovely atmosphere!

We were tye only ones sitting in. There was one other couple outside. The food was good and the drinks but there was no atmosphere as we were the only ones in there

Not that easy to spot from the road side but there is a small open sign in the window. Atmosphere was none existent, no music playing felt like a church. The food was expensive for what was served, a sandwich being £8.50 seems like a lot for two bits of bread and a simple Tuna filling. Staff were friendly but I was slightly bemused when I was given a can of water rather than a glass of tap water.

Called in this afternoon for coffee and cake on the way home from M&S. Three other tables in at the time Nice atmosphere as usual, and the Bakewell was great. Keira and Donna do a good job.

Went at lunchtime today. As a party of 2 we were asked to move from a table for 4 and moved to an uncleared table for 2. The dirty dishes were removed but had to request the table be cleaned after our teas arrived. It was hardly busy despite being lunchtime with only 3 other parties there. The sandwiches were enjoyable but the lack of atmosphere and the poor service means we wont return again.

We love this place. The food is fresh and beautifully cooked. The soup is excellent. We go with our 2 dogs, the tables are well spaced so everyone has plenty of room. The staff are delightful.

Great food, good value. A hidden gem. Cappucino coffee was delicious. Waitresses were lovely. Will definately be back.

Managed to conveniently breakdown right outside here today so during my 3 hour wait for the AA went in for a sandwich and a cup of coffee. Both were excellent, staff were friendly and service was quick. My only criticism would be that £8 for a sandwich seemed a little pricy but guess its about the norm for a farm shop type place these days.

2 stars for atmosphere as I was the only one there and I'm too modest . Seriously tho, you need to advertise that you are open again . Quite a lot of folk seem to be unaware.

Flora was very friendly and our coffee was very well made. We are coffee snobs and really appreciated having a delicious cup of coffee that was the right temperature and not scolding hot and burned and acidic as we often encounter at cafes in Aberdeenshire. Well done Flora. And the homemade Bakewell tart was divine. Thank you

Excellent latte always when I visit on route to Ballater or Aboyne. Great service and friendly staff.

There today 6th September for lunch. Young waitress said for us to choose our menu before we sat down. Chose our menu from a poor selection on offer. We were then asked to pay up front, which we found odd but complied, hoping that what we chose would be edible. Our food was ok. I ordered a coffee and it was ok, and the price was again ok. Flora’s had poor atmosphere and I doubt that we will make a return visit. Felt that there was little care or interesting the business.

Very disappointing experience today. Arrived at the cafe mid morning looking forward to a lovely coffee and cake. Placed the order but when we came to mot the Wi-Fi was not working. As we were cycling neither of had cash so unable to have a coffee. Other cyclists arrived and they experienced the same situation. The cafe must have lost £50 of sales while we were there. Real shame. Suggest they get their act together. Who doesn’t take contactless sales these days.

Great coffee shop run by really lovely people. Panini’s are awesome, bacon & Brie with a wee pot of soup is just yum!! cakes are delicious, chocolate cracknell for me!! and the coffee is really good too. Give it a go, you won’t be disappointed!!

Food was ok, but the place was absolutely freezing. Ate quick and left to get a heat in the car!

Had a lovely soup and sandwich, to easy to park up and pop in, service is great and staff are always helpful. Love the tray bakes and coffees as well.

New management and outdoor service. Very popular with cyclists. So good to see Flora's back in business. The inside dining room is now open again and the shop has some nice products.

This was our second visit to the “new” Flora’s and we noticed a big difference in the decor, toilets etc. Much better! Still a very sparse selection of home bakes at 2.30pm on a Sunday afternoon when so many people are out for a run and a cuppa but the ones we had were very tasty and fresh. A scone would have been great but no sign of those on either of our two visits. Amazing coffee though! Our young waitress was lovely and very thoughtful. We bought a few things from the small shop afterwards but had to wait in the cafe queue to pay. Not sure why the original cafe counter wasn’t used for the cafe and the shop for the shop but I’m sure there’s a good reason. We hope to try lunch next time. The menu looked good.

Flora's lunch plate was filling and tasty. Personally, would have preferred fewer acidic things on plate. Decor was slightly austere, and the service a tad slow due to number of customers. Good parking. Worth a visit.

Flora's has been taken over by new management. You can sit outside and enjoy your bacon roll and coffee. There is a car park and a bike rack.

Great wee café with a great selection of products available. As close to zero plastic and as possible 👍 And to make things even better, they even stock Lucky Tatties from Deevalley Confectionery ❤

Flora’s Have started coming back here since the lock down obvious missed Doreen and family but the lovely girls who are here now are so helpful and as my mum is infirm they always takes our nice food and drink out to the car for us . Highly recommended.

Love this place! All the food is amazing.... especially fans of the soup, macaroni and nachos. All home made 😋 the cakes are always delicious too. Owners are super friendly and helpful...great service.

Just back from another typically great visit to Flora's Refill. Good coffee, excellent "funcy pieces" and a warm welcome.

Had a delicious Haggis Panini, and millionaire shortbread traybake that you could tell was homemade. Topped off with a mocha. 👌🏼☕ They had some indoor seating, staff were friendly and will definitely revisit when in the area again. 👍🏼

Lovely large tray bakes. Girls loved theirs. Friendly staff. Only outside and takeaway, but look forward to when inside is ready.

Best food and value for money in Aberdeenshire

Food is great. Decent portion sizes. Very old school style. Staff are friendly. Love coming by. It's one of the few places, I feel, you're guaranteed a decent meal. Nothing too fancy. Just good honest grub.

Nice family run restaurant, all the comfort of home cooking, nice size plates no problem with anything, selection of home made cake if it's just tea and cake, great little place.

Was there for Birthday lunch, when meal arrived there was cheese on plate. No mention of cheese in menu. When asked for it to be removed I was told to push it to the side. When meal came back without the cheese I was told to inform them next time that I don't want cheese. Never had cheese with chicken fillets before. Unpleasant experience don't think I'll be going back any time soon

An Aberdeenshire staple that doesn't need my review but just to clarify - if you are looking for proper north east hospitality and the best flypieces for miles around you probably already know Flora's. If you fancy a skinny soy latte and don't know what a flypiece is you probably want to go somewhere else.

Traditional restaurant, I had the mince and tatties which were excellent. The staff were very welcoming and worked hard keeping the tables cleared and the customers happy. Note: Take cash as they don't have any electronic payment devices, there is a cash machine about 1 1/2 miles away.
