10 out of 10 for everything. A little know fact about this cafe and the one in the Duthie Park is that you can order afternoon teas to be delivered tae yer hoose! My parents are in their 80s and for several years now, when we organise various family events, we order from the Hazlehead/Duthie park cafe and the food is always *chefs kiss*. My parents had 15 family members descend on the house today short notice so Mum put a phone call in to see if they could help cater, and they took on the order with only a few hours notice. What a treat! Thank YOU so much for making entertaining a seamless affair for my family. We really appreciate it.

Very pleasant , clean and bright decor - all festively decorated for Christmas. Delicious 😋 selection of cakes, biscuits & snacks. A Black Forest muffin 🧁 , shortie biscuit, coffee ☕️ & pot of tea 🫖 was a fairly reasonable £12. Only downside was that because it was busy - having interior low ceilings , the resultant noise made it quite difficult for conversation, so had to repeat ourselves a lot. ( All the quieter corners were already taken .)

This is not somewhere to go if you want a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. The tables are very crowded together with little space to manoeuvre and this is made worse by the number of massive buggies wheeled in by parents with little thought for those already at tables. While the owners can’t be held responsible for the behaviour and attitude of other customers they could provide an outside space for buggies to be left and ask that they are left. At a busy lunchtime there was only one person serving which might have explained her brusque manner. The tea we ordered was ok, but very small teapots and cups so not great value for money. Scones and pastries were nice with good portions of jam and butter. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend unless you enjoy screaming children.

I held a baby shower for my sister at The Park Cafe and it was a wonderful day. The whole booking process was seamless, the room was amazing and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Everyone commented on how delicious the food was. (we had the afternoon tea) There was plenty of it and all the guests were given a little takeaway box at the end too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend your venue to others or use you again in the future.

Coming in with my friends, we saw a group of workers just standing next to the wall, I assume supporting the walls from collapsing. Talking with the only girl who was actually working on the front house, moping the floor. Young Waiters still prefered to emulate work while table were filthy, with obvious and visible left-overs on the tables. Had to wait for a while to get served, despite absence of the que up to the till, and its is worth mentioning it was 4pm, close to their closing time but still - not closed. If I would bring my family or a date to this place, I'd bring so much shame upon myself, that I chosed that place.

I recently had my 60th birthday party here. To be fair, this review is a little biased as I have been to celebration parties at the Park Cafe before. When it came to choosing a venue there was really only one we looked at! Moving on, I would like to thank Pat, Donna and Scott who looked after us on the night and did a great job making sure everything ran smoothly. All the visitors from the far reaches of Cornwall, Kent and points between loved the stovies. All the locals had been to the venue before and knew what was expected of them, there was much dancing, fun and laughter. All of our guests who were coherent afterward said they had had a lovely time. I wish the venue every success in the future and hope to get invited along to some more parties.

Today was my daughter's birthday, and with our friends we planned to have lunch outside in the park. I would like to note that there were many empty tables. We sat down and before ordering, I opened juice and gave it to the children. At that moment, a cafe worker ran up to us and in a very rude manner began to demand that we leave the table immediately. I tried to explain to her that we were planning to place an order right now and asked her to give us five minutes. to which she continued to demand to leave immediately. the children were absolutely shocked by her manners and my friends said that having lived in Scotland for several years they had never encountered such disgusting treatment. After such a welcome, of course, we immediately left. After that, I saw several families sitting in the cafe area with thermoses and food not from this cafe. I pointed this out to the cafe worker. The rules apparently did not apply to everyone. They found fault with us, perhaps because we are foreigners So if you decide to treat your children to the juice you brought with you at one of the empty tables of this wonderful cafe, be prepared to be treated like a beggar. I attached a photo to show the number of free tables at the moment when we were kicked out -:)

We visited Hazehead Park with our grand daughter, on 28/07/2023. This is the first time we have visited the park. The park itself was outstanding with plenty for adults and children to enjoy. My grand daughter got a fish finger sandwich and when it was put if front of her, she picked up the fish finger in her hands and the inside was stone cold. The service was diabolical, when I complained about it, the server said he'd take it away and 'heat it up'. I told him 'No', I wanted fresh fish fingers brought. They did however, my grand daugher wouldn't eat them because they were very hard. It also looked like the fish fingers being supplied to us were the cheapest available on the market. Plus, the cheese and ham toastie that my wife had ordered was also cold and she didn't eat them. It seems to be, that looking at the reviews posted on here, the management is not taking notice of their customers complaints, which is a shame, because it is a lovely park. So, the bottom line is, will we be visiting the park again, the answer to that is a definite 'YES'. Will we be visiting the the Park Cafe again, the answer to that is a definite 'NO'. The next time we come, we will be bringing our own refreshments with us. We hope that the owners of this park get to see our review and the others on here. The food served at Hazelhead Park Cafe is a disgrace and I suggest that the readers of this review take this a a positive warning, not to use the Park Cafe.. Definitely not worth the £38 we paid for our lunch, so don't waste your money by visiting the place. I wasted £38.

Popped in for a quick latte and cake while the kids played outside. Sullen young girl at the till barely acknowledged me. OK, no big deal, I guess. Then the card machine hung and instead of saying "sorry, we will keep trying", she totally ignored me as I stood there waiting for someting to happen. After some time I reached for my coffee and took it to a table, explaining I wouldn't leave till the transaction was confirmed. This reasonable move was greeted with a sour look and no words. Meantime I checked my bank app - the payment had gone thru and I needed to get back to my kids. I approached the till again and told Happy Harriet that my payment was complete so I was leaving. Met with yet another sour look and no words. Coffee was bitter and so are the staff. Shame.

The cafe is ok, just the usual baked potatoes, sandwiches etc. It was very busy while we were here, despite being a Monday lunchtime. The menu states that vegan options are available if you mention to a member of staff. The lady I asked didn't seem to have a clue about vegan options, although she did go and ask - not her fault, but they should be provided with better training. The only option seemed to be vegan cheese anyway. Overall, ok, but not worth going back to.

The park Cafe is on the left as you approach Hazlehead park from the main gate. It is well resourced with savoury and sweet treats. At the weekend is very popular for families with children and you may find you cannot sit inside the cafe and you need to sit at the annex awnings. The toilets are clean and they have a section for nappy changing. The waitress, despite the crowd and non stop demand, never lost her smile and pleasantness.

If you have a double buggy on might need any help don’t bother going here. Staff member watched me struggle up the ramp making no effort to help move items blocking my way then made no effort to help me enter the cafe with the buggy. I managed only with the help and kindness of strangers. I sat outside but then needed to go back in to do nappy changes. Again a kind stranger (young lass) went to ask staff if they had a changing area I could use before I went through the effort of getting in again with the buggy. They said they did but failed to mention that it was not accessible so I couldnt get in with the buggy and there was no clear route. I had to carry both babies through while the young lass kindly took their nappy bag for me. Not once did a member of staff approach me/ask if they could help/ or even really acknowledge me. I won’t be going back.

A lovely wee busy cafe in Hazlehead park. We had a good time at the cafe. Nice selection of cakes - it was the first time I had seen a blueberry Bakewell being sold in a cafe, and it was really nice! Staff were ready for the busyness, and it was a somewhat fast service. It’s quite a cute and small cafe, so I do foresee it getting a bit crammed sometimes, and maybe not being able to seat everyone that comes in. But that might not be the case all the time (we came in during the Easter holidays).

Stopped in here for something to eat and drink. Cafe is not huge but plenty of outdoor seating if you can’t get a table inside. Very modern, clean and fresh cafe with large menu of hot and cold food and drinks suitable for all ages. You’d be hard pressed not to find something to eat and drink here. We ordered two hot drinks both of which were lovely, a pancake stack which was ok but pretty soggy as the syrup was like water so just soaked right into the pancakes. Fruit scone was lovely which came with butter and jam. Lemon tart was seriously bland with little flavour other than sweet but looked lovely. Finally a black pudding and bacon roll which was the best out of the whole order. Everything was presented really well and looked lovely but honestly each item just tasted bland and lacked quality. Style over substance I think Paul Hollywood would say. That being said it all looked nice, good service considering how busy the cafe was. Some customers were great in vacating their table when they finished but others had finished all their food and drink when we arrived and still sitting there when we left. This added to the lack of tables available which was a shame but despite this we had a nice lunch and would go back.

Having had our order taken wrongly 3 times by an obviously distracted waitress, it eventually turned up at our table both late (coffee lukewarm by then) and with half the order wrong. Was refused an apology by waitress as ‘you were told it wasn’t available’ which is untrue. Asked for full refund. Was told we had to carry our tray back to the servery and join the queue to ask for a refund! Did not help us. The manageress then asked us to move into the unoccupied function suite to discuss which we did. At this point I was interrupted by a woman claiming to be the owner, Pat. She was immediately aggressive, approaching me, putting her face 4 inches from mine (I’m a pensioner) and screaming at me that I and my wife, who witnessed the unfortunate situation had been vile and aggressive because of our request for a refund.. There was no attempt to placate the situation by ‘Pat’. We eventually obtained our refund after 15 minutes unpleasantness. Having been in poor health recently I was deeply shocked by her behaviour - does her business partners know she behaves like this towards (what had been) loyal customers? This commotion further backed up the queue at the counter to over 20. I would advise avoiding this shambles until the rather unpleasant and unprofessional owner learns some courtesy and manners!

I visited recently for the first time since the fire, and it's absolutely lovely inside with a huge variety of cakes and drinks available. My friends and I had scones which were huge, and tea/coffee. The young man serving us was very patient as we asked for oat milk, normal milk, a teabag to be left in etc and he was very efficient. I'll be back again for a slice of cake next time! My only criticism is that it was quite expensive. I read some of the other comments saying that dogs aren't allowed in, and I personally think this is a good idea as I'm a bit wary of them especially in a relatively small space, after being bitten as a child. The park is popular with dog walkers, so there could potentially be lots of dogs in the cafe at the same time and they may not all be friendly towards each other. I was in a pub a few years ago where two large dogs started fighting and had to be pulled away from each other and it was very stressful.

My score is based on there being only 1 ladies toilet which doubled as baby changing. The cafe wasn't particularly busy and I was second in the queue, and a mum 2 with baby needing changed arrived as i went in. There doesn't seem to be sufficient toilet facilities to meet demand in October on a Tuesday . I can't imagine what it would be like at a weekend and in the summer. The lady coming out warned me that there was no toilet paper. It would seem that some more regular checks required.
