Unwelcoming couple owners who were quite unbelievably rude and would not even let us use the toilet during our visit. Avoid at all costs.

Had a fabulous stay at this amazing hotel!! Staff were very helpful, friendly, welcoming and accommodating and went over and above with service! Had breakfast each morning and dinner on a few occasions and both were beyond exceptional (love that the menu changes each day… a bonus in itself) Rooms were well equipped and spotless Would highly recommend a stay here and I will most certainly be back!!.. thank you to all the staff that made our stay so amazing!! 😊

Stopped here for lunch with the dog. Lovely food, good service and the cakes looked delicious - we didn’t try any though. Recommend if you’re looking for somewhere to have a coffee/cake or lunch.

Ambiente muy agradable, comida deliciosa, a precios razonables. Me gustó la sopa, tostadas, café y bagels. El personal amable hizo mi almuerzo memorable y un placer.

We were delighted to find this was open around 2pm on a Sunday, allowing us to enjoy a tea/coffee and a slice of delicious Carrot Cake before the second stage of our afternoon walk. It's so difficult to find places open in Winter, more so on a Sunday, so we were very grateful. We had a warm welcome, the interior is cosy and comfortable, and you get a lovely view across the greens from the big windows. The food menu looked enticing - with a couple of vegetarian options - so we'd like to pop back one day for a proper meal.

£3.60 for a small mocha was simply too expensive. Nothing wrong with the place or plocton village for that matter but I feel that too many people are treating tourism in the highlands as a boom within which they can make a fast buck rather than a reasonably priced sustainable industry that will serve generations to come. If the tourism bubble bursts in the highlands it will be pricing on this level that will be a major player in its demise.

A lovely local cafe with great food in a relaxed atmosphere served by friendly staff. The sausage and bacon rolls were very tasty

Gray food and coffee. Lovely surroundings. Very pleasant service. Would have been 5 star if not for smelly dogs at near table.

Another visit to Aviemore Inn for John's fabulous Steak Pie and a few drinks. Yet again it did not disappoint. This is a lovely friendly wee pub which John and Mary should be very proud of. If in Aviemore you should definitely pop in for food/drinks.

Good fresh food and coffee. Good re-use of an old building. Staff couldn't have been more pleasant. Well done.

Stood inside waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Another customer entered and shouted for service through a hatch to the kitchen. Someone appeared, looking mystified, yet still didn't ask us for an order. Turned out, the alleged waitress, was outside yapping to her pals... I mean, we had to get past them to get in? How did she not know we were inside? It's not as though it's a big premises, and no one else was in. Looked good value too. Shame!

If you are visiting Unts, you should definitely visit for a drink. Keep an eye on their Facebook page as they seem to offer food on a few days a week. We were incredibly lucky and managed to book a table for 12 just a day in advance (we really didn't want to stay for dinner at our hotel nearby). The lady who runs the pub was very friendly and replied very quickly. We were in Unst 2 nights and had drinks here both days. It also happens to be the UK's northernmost pub :)

Popped in here a couple of times while in Barra. The staff are welcoming, the cakes are delicious (and change daily) and the coffee is good - I need nothing more

So well looked after. Despite it being a wednesday night and us being "out of towners" we were treated like locals. The chap in charge even made my wife a proper mug of tea with biscuits. 10/10
