Popped in here a couple of times while in Barra. The staff are welcoming, the cakes are delicious (and change daily) and the coffee is good - I need nothing more

Great food with a fast and friendly service with great views over Castlebay. Really good choice of food on the menu and the coffee was exceptional! Would highly recommend for a bit to eat!

Very nice veggie burger and ham & cheese toastie. There is very little available for lunch in Castlebay, so this is almost the only game in town. Wish they had beer or wine, but that’s all that was missing for a casual al fresco meal.

The day we popped into The Deck we were looking for a spot of lunch. The weather wasn’t great so we popped in for a sandwich, coffee and a warm up from the wet weather. The cafe was very busy with people coming and going. Unfortunately, due to a staff shortages, there wasn’t any hot food being served . However, the sandwiches and soup were still tasty enough and the staff did bring out the orders quickly. Big downside is that there are no toilet facilities, which is not wonderful, particularly as there is no notice informing customers of this. You have to go to the nearby community centre where there is one public toilet.

We enjoyed a tasty morning tea/coffee and cake. Then, having seen the food being served, returned for baguettes the following day. We weren’t disappointed - our takeaways were excellent, especially since they were able to provide a gluten free panini roll for the GF langoustine baguette.

Mac and cheese, whilst nicely served lacked flavour… no salt and pepper on table. Waitress delightful. Partner had the steak, nicely cooked, asked for mustard… none available.

Don't be mislead by the name 'Bistro' and the pictures about the café and the menu including cakes and seating areas. It is not a bistro any longer and you must not stay inside. We mistakenly rode here (by bike) way before the ferry would depart to have a break in the 'bistro'. However, they only sell snacks and coffee to go. As a consequence, we had to wait 3 hours outdoors (the ferry terminal waiting room offers shelter as alternative). The shop and the lady running it are nice though!

came for drinks at this interesting pub, didn't eat but saw the food coming out which looked amazing. Enjoyed the interesting history surrounding this pub.

We called in very early for a quick coffee and bacon butty. Very impressed with the buzzer system which seemed to work really well. Asked for crispy bacon and it was bang on. The owner was very chatty and cheery. Highly recommend a wee visit.
