This small family run hotel is a breath of fresh air. It greets you like a warm hug from the moment you enter. The rooms are furnished with good taste and good quality. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with a wide choice of options. We had dinner on two nights. On Sunday it was served in the main dining room and on Monday in the bar/pub. The bar/pub in a separate building at the rear of the hotel is a wee gem with a great atmosphere. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone and hope to return in the future

This was one of the highlight accommodations during our cycling trip of the Hebridean Way. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and the showers have great water pressure. Breakfast was phenomenal (with great vegan options, too). The owners are incredibly lovely people, and you can tell they have a background in customer service - they did a wonderful job renovating this place. Be sure to grab pints at the Old Barn Pub in the back. Wicked little pub, which we were very thankful to watch the Euro finals in. Don't miss this spot if you are thinking of passing by!

Our reservation, made days in advance, was cancelled 2h before we were supposed to arrive. On January the 1st, when all the shops are closed and theres nowhere you can get food from - hence the early booking. It's the first time I've ever experienced this kind of treatment. You should really learn to plan better, especially when you have tables prebooked.

Just what the doctor ordered. What a welcome sight it is when driving over from Lewis for the first ferry to see a van selling hot coffee and bacon rolls. Check sea conditions before over-indulging.....

What a great visit! Smooth and flavourful coffee, amazing range of attractive baked goods - I went for the red velvet blondie - and a friendly welcome too. Busy little place, seemed to work for families as well as me with my book in the corner. Thanks so much.

Very poor value, Spent £25 on the seafood platter no langastines so they supplemented with Scallops which i thought would be ok. when it came out there must have been about 2 Scallops thinly sliced fanned over the plate a small piece of fish and small pile of crab meat and two slices of brown bread.

Mac and cheese, whilst nicely served lacked flavour… no salt and pepper on table. Waitress delightful. Partner had the steak, nicely cooked, asked for mustard… none available.

A good cafe for breakfast and lunches serving basic fare ( everything with chips !) and home baking. Open from 8.30 am until last food orders at 3 pm. I had a bacon and black pudding roll which contained a substantial slice of Stornoway black pudding. Waited 20 minutes for it despite the cafe being almost empty. The cafe has an outdoor deck with views over the sea and it is adjacent to the Kilbride campsite. It has free WiFi.
