Good fresh food and coffee. Good re-use of an old building. Staff couldn't have been more pleasant. Well done.

My wife and I called in here during our recent visit to the Uists. What a little Gem. Unfortunately, on our visit they were a member of staff short so only limited Hot Food was available. However, this didn’t bother us as we were only there for Coffee and a nibble and what a nibble it was, we both had the Chocolate Caramel Crinkle and they were DELICIOUS. On our next visit we’ll try the hot food which looked great value. Highly Recommended.

What a delight it was to find this hidden gem, tucked away in the Grimsay Community Association Building on Uist. Cannot rate it highly enough - all rustic, non pretentious and darn tasty home-cooking by the owner Dana - who took time out of a busy kitchen to come and chat. She uses many local ingredients, changing daily in her simple but gorgeous lunch menu. I had a Coronation Chicken toastie to die for - her special recipe, home baked bread - I've never had one so good, seriously. Great Barista coffee too from Matthew - cakes, scones, biscuits - everything just superb. A lovely space too with local crafted gifts, post office and community information. A wonderful Community hub. I do think the Grimsay residents are lucky to have her as their Cafe owner. I don't think Dana herself knows how good her food is. Wait till broadband is installed - any day now - everyone will know about it - please go.

Lovely place, nice people, simple menu all homemade and yummy. Community owed, very interesting history and lots of plans for the future. Face book page. Favorite eatery on island.

This is the most lovely place to visit - just 2 miles off the main road. It's a beautiful building, it's a post office, you can buy some great books and the food and hsopitality are absolutely brilliant. My Dad and I where cycling the Hebridean Way in a Cyclone rainstorm day and needed to dry-out, eat and re-calibrate - this was the perfect place to do these things. It has an all- fuel burner that dried us out. The soup and cake and x4 pots of tea later we were ready to head on our way. Thank you so much to the wonderful helpful staff who are an Information resiurce about Weather forecast, Accomodation, Local history and events.. just brilliant !

The café is small and in a converted church so no windows to look out onto the landscape which I usually prefer, but an atmospheric cosy space, community run. Soup was excellent, as were the cakes but I was most impressed with the first class resource material for tracing ancestors - croft records, old photographs, staff with local knowledge of Grimsay.I could have spent hours browsing the material they have; it is amazing for the area - and for the Monach Isles too.We will be back.

What a great visit! Smooth and flavourful coffee, amazing range of attractive baked goods - I went for the red velvet blondie - and a friendly welcome too. Busy little place, seemed to work for families as well as me with my book in the corner. Thanks so much.

Mac and cheese, whilst nicely served lacked flavour… no salt and pepper on table. Waitress delightful. Partner had the steak, nicely cooked, asked for mustard… none available.

A good cafe for breakfast and lunches serving basic fare ( everything with chips !) and home baking. Open from 8.30 am until last food orders at 3 pm. I had a bacon and black pudding roll which contained a substantial slice of Stornoway black pudding. Waited 20 minutes for it despite the cafe being almost empty. The cafe has an outdoor deck with views over the sea and it is adjacent to the Kilbride campsite. It has free WiFi.

Very poor value, Spent £25 on the seafood platter no langastines so they supplemented with Scallops which i thought would be ok. when it came out there must have been about 2 Scallops thinly sliced fanned over the plate a small piece of fish and small pile of crab meat and two slices of brown bread.

Stopped for a "fancy" meal while cycling the Heb Way, great decision. Staff were lovely and food was excellent
