Mac and cheese, whilst nicely served lacked flavour… no salt and pepper on table. Waitress delightful. Partner had the steak, nicely cooked, asked for mustard… none available.

Eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, die Auswahl der Speisen ist überschaubar , aber durchaus empfehlenswert. Die Chickenburger und die Muscheln waren ganz ausgezeichnet.

Mixed feelings about this place. The food is delicious, the portions just right and the service prompt and efficient despite that it was nearly full (and fully booked). But the ambience is off putting. It feels like you are eating in a lorry drivers caf' with wooden tables, no table cloths and hard unforgiving wooden chairs. Prices are on the high side. Overall I probably wouldn't go back. But 4* review for the excellent food.

We stopped in for an early dinner. They are both dog friendly and good for gluten free options. Food was excellent, locally sourced. I’d have given the place five stars but for the waiting staff - which spent more time talking and shuffling their playlists than noticing any customers. The place deserves to do well. But the waitresses need some training.

The food at the Stornoway Distriller was delicious delivered with friendly service and a smile. They catered for gluten free. The Landfall gin is very good too. I enjoyed so much I returned for lunch 2 days later. It was just as good with a smaller menu. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic restaurant. Great local produce well cooked. Reasonably priced compared to some of the other local restaurants. Good beer selection, including nice Black Isle alcohol free selections.

Great food at a good price. This is a very popular restaurant, advisable to book. The steak was cooked just perfect. Would certainly return .

Really great little place serving a delicious mainly seafood based menu - light meals at lunch. Interesting selection beyond all the usual. Two minutes from the ferry.

Fantastic restaurant near the harbour in Stornoway. We enjoyed the langoustines very much! There are meat/vegetarian/vegan options for those not keen on seafood. I would recommend booking in advance as it isn’t a huge restaurant and will get filled up pretty quickly!!

Rebranded Stornoway Distillers (yesterday) we stopped here for dinner with our wee dog today Thursday 2nd May ‘24. Fantastic food and service and an enviable wine, beer and spirits selection. Very dog friendly. The only disappointment was that we can’t buy their Gin until 14/05/24. I did get to try it though!! 😊 Five stars 🌟 and we wish you all the best with Stornoway Distillers, we will be telling our friends and fellow motorhomers to visit!

Took my mum here for lunch. She had the ribs with chips, more than enough on her plate. What she couldn't eat she took home in a box. It was delicious and so tender. I had the chicken wings and chips. Yum. Very tasty. We will be back. 😃

The Fank was operating as the Crust & Charcoal (temporarily?) but I had a lovely pizza and beer. Had the place to myself so can really comment n the atmosphere! Did mean I got prompt and attentive service though 😀

Called into an empty restaurant. Waitress was not very knowledgeable. Manager sitting on his lap top. Ordered chicken, blackened which was just show as it didn’t taste of anything other than unseasoned. Chips were from deep freeze I asked for the cowboy relish, this was greasy melting over the chips. No dressing on the fank salad so….. I asked for mayonnaise but waitress wasn’t sure whether I should get it or not, so manager stood up to check the menu and told her it was fine to give me…….3 teaspoons in a metal jar. Absolutely pathetic. £23.75 pence. I did have a bottle of sparkling water. Definitely not go back and advised beyond Lewis not to bother with the place.

Pizza is amazing, fresh and really tasty, dont be put of by the way this place looks, the service is great and the choices of Beers etc is extensive, We only had a couple of pizzas which were totally awesome but the other choices seemed good too, my only criticism would be £8 for a bottle of Cairn O Mhor cider, really guys? £8 for a 500ml bottle is not good value for money, should be around £5 max for this, Needless to say I didn't have one! But still loved the pizza!!!

Recommended by a couple of people so we thought we would give it a go. The place was exactly as we expected. The barbecue main that one of us has was perhaps a little disappointing (not much of a portion of meat). However, the much cheaper loaded fries were to die for and made up for that disappointment. We didn't have room for desert in the end but the cheesecake looked very nice,

We dropped into The Fank for a quick meal before boarding a ferry. We asked the staff which dishes could be done quickly. They made suggestions, we ordered, we paid in advance and the meal arrived quickly and was insanely delicious. This is a small little cafe with just a few tables that faces the Ferry Terminal. I was expecting average food at best….but this was really excellent. We had the Crab Roll and Langostino Roll and a side of fries with a local Hebrides beer and local Hebrides Gin & Tonic. The service was excellent, the food arrived quickly and the food was fresh and on par with a nicer/larger cafe. The drinks were great as well. I would definitely recommend.

Food was good & well presented, however, a bit odd that there were no appetizers & even more weird that the wait saff said we couldn’t order a side dish or salad as one before our main to share it amongst our table. A limited bar list which is fine, but again, the wait staff not really understanding that vodka can be served with another mixers that’s not listed in their cocktail menu description & had issues with us trying to switch the listed tonic water for a different one, even although they had it. I don’t think they drink themselves. Listed as open until 11pm, but they started to turn guests away at 8:30pm as the kichen closes shorly after that. Again, odd. Overall we had a good time despite the wait staff being sticky & full of rules that they feel they have to police.

Popped on for lunch and had a langoustine pizza and crab fries, washed down with a fruit beer. Already decided I am going back for lunch tomorrow. The pizza really was incredible, the best I've had in a long, long time. The crab fries were great, something different to the usual offerings.

We loved this restaurant! I needed gluten-free, and they were very accommodating and knowledgeable. I had baked cod that was delicious and my husband had steak that he loved as well. I had an amazing lemon curd martini made with Harris gin. Those could get me in some trouble. We would definitely go back!

We were in Stornoway for the HebCelt festival and popped in to the Fank for lunch. The pizzas are amazing, we had thin base and as there was 6 of us we had a good variety of pizzas, and also chips with crab dressing and a crab roll. The food was served pretty quickly, the pizzas were fresh and delicious. The staff were so friendly and nothing was a bother for them. We liked the restaurant seating and decor and we will definitely be back.

I liked the look of the menu here last time I was in Stornoway but couldn't get a table. Turned up early this visit and managed to get a table. Unfortunately having been looking forward to eating here I was quite disappointed. The portions were really quite small (I did order from the "bigger plates" menu) and the harissa spiced grilled halloumi wasn't spicy at all. The baked pear with blue cheese for desert was very nice indeed - but again tiny, I'd expect at least a whole pear, not just half of one.

Super awesome new menu! Had the smoked trout followed by the steak and also the crab fries. All the dishes were genuinely faultless and some of the best food that I’ve ate in Stornoway! Already looking forward to coming back for more

What a great visit! Smooth and flavourful coffee, amazing range of attractive baked goods - I went for the red velvet blondie - and a friendly welcome too. Busy little place, seemed to work for families as well as me with my book in the corner. Thanks so much.

A good cafe for breakfast and lunches serving basic fare ( everything with chips !) and home baking. Open from 8.30 am until last food orders at 3 pm. I had a bacon and black pudding roll which contained a substantial slice of Stornoway black pudding. Waited 20 minutes for it despite the cafe being almost empty. The cafe has an outdoor deck with views over the sea and it is adjacent to the Kilbride campsite. It has free WiFi.

Very poor value, Spent £25 on the seafood platter no langastines so they supplemented with Scallops which i thought would be ok. when it came out there must have been about 2 Scallops thinly sliced fanned over the plate a small piece of fish and small pile of crab meat and two slices of brown bread.

Food was excellent and the Guinness was top notch. Prices were very reasonable and staff were extremely friendly. Would love to return sometime.
