£3.60 for a small mocha was simply too expensive. Nothing wrong with the place or plocton village for that matter but I feel that too many people are treating tourism in the highlands as a boom within which they can make a fast buck rather than a reasonably priced sustainable industry that will serve generations to come. If the tourism bubble bursts in the highlands it will be pricing on this level that will be a major player in its demise.

Really good coffee, small plates of local produce & let's not forget the gin. Really friendly staff and excellent knowledge of gin and mixers. Please note not all gins require a mixer.

This place is wonderful. A truly lively happy Scottish welcome for weary travellers. And could even cater for my gluten free with a smile and no problems....I was blown away by a fab laugustine salad and a dressing that zinged on your tongue and was alive with yummy garlic. I know I am raving but seriously that good followed up with coffee and the best carrot cake ever. My daughter had the roast Mediterranean and feta salad empty plate too and an amazing gooey chocolate mud cake. All provided by a very kind young lady who had time to talk and make her customers special even when-a big group all arrived together. Quirky interior too designed to make you feel comfortable to take a corner and while away some time. I am sure they will soon be no 1 place to eat.

Lovely specialty cafe/deli. Rather expensive but Plockton's rural location make everything expensive. Expect to pay £7 for coffee and cake.

Excellent little find. This is a proper hidden gem at the far side of Plockton near the road to the main pier. The food was so delicious, loads of delicious options for both meat eaters and vegans/veggies/gluten free/lactose free etc.Really good food! All at the side of an open fire

Nice environment and decor and interesting books etc, but £3.75 for a smallish cardboard cup full of coffee?? I wish I had walked out.

Tucked away at the far end of Plockton and somewhat out of sight this place is a great find. Looking just like a door to a house from the outside you have to go through the eating area, outside then back in to the counter to order. When you get there you are met with a range of fantastic looking food that makes the choice of what to have very difficult indeed. Prices aren't exactly cheap but quality is very high. Worth trying to find.

Loved the place and the produce all looks amazing with a seafood tinge to the options but i went for a sausage roll which was fantastic.I normally always have a coffee everywhere but £3.50 for a flat white is the most expensive I have seen anywhere (Previous Record was £3.20 in Soho London) so i decided against it. Food also on the pricey side but I think if they get the price point correct then these guys are onto a winner for sure. Good luck to all at Gun Ainm.

We stopped in after a trip in Callum's Boat and had a wonderful light lunch. Newly opened this is a superb place and what a superb meal soup and lovely homemade local sandwiches. We had the ham and my friends had the feta cheese. It was truelly delicous served with tea and coffee.

This is among the best food we had in Scotland! We just came upon the restaurant, it was a lucky find. Everything is homemade, literally right in the restaurant. No seating inside, but tables just outside. Soups, sandwiches, desserts. We had the smoked haddock soup and smoked salmon sandwich. Hands down the best flavors during our trip. Just a quaint stop, looks like a family runs the place. A complete gem!

Popped in here recently on a trip through Wick to Dunnet Head - Got a cheese & tuna toastie and a latte which were both excellent. Owners were really friendly and the price reasonable considering the location - Have a feeling they could charge 2/3 times the price - being on the NC 500 - but choose not to. Will certainly return.

We went for takeaway before getting ferry to Stornoway. Ordered an egg roll and bacon and egg roll. On opening when we got to our car we could not believe how poor they looked. Toasted stake rolls, overdone fried eggs and overdone bacon. Will not go back to this cafe again!
