We went for takeaway before getting ferry to Stornoway. Ordered an egg roll and bacon and egg roll. On opening when we got to our car we could not believe how poor they looked. Toasted stake rolls, overdone fried eggs and overdone bacon. Will not go back to this cafe again!

This cafe is for take out food and drinks and we thoroughly recommend it. the cheese scones are superb and a couple of times recently we have had salad boxes at lunchtime to take home. They are really well filled, fresh and delicious.

The only downside of this cafe was it is a takeaway, but having said that the quality of the cakes and scones we had could not have been better and the staff were good fun and very helpful.

Crossaint lovely, got a bacon and egg sandwich. Quite pricey but don't mind paying for quality, egg and roll delicious however don'ts expect to pay 4.50 for a bacon and egg sandwich that has only one slice of thin bacon :(

We visited here most days during our stay in Ullapool due to the lack of options in all honesty but the baked goods such as millionaires shortbread, brownies and pecan blondie were fantastic. It isn't the cheapest, maybe due to it being on the NC500 they put prices up but I'd still recommend it. Breakfast options aren't great, essentially a roll and bacon or roll and egg. These were very pricey too. The staff are lovely and keen to engage.

Queued outside for a fair bit, no menus or prices advertised anywhere. The hot roll options were bacon or egg, we ordered 2 Bacon & Egg Rolls. They both came with 1 slither of bacon on each roll and cost around double the price you would expect to pay.

Visited first thing on a weekday morning - we queued up outside for 15 minutes, no menu outside so we couldn’t see what was on offer. When we got in to order, asked what the vegan food options were as advertised and were told there are none, we’ve sold out. We decided to order two coffees anyway as we had waited so long to be told there wasn’t enough oat milk for two coffees and there was also only instant coffee left as they had run out of fresh. We won’t go back!

We were only in Ullapool for a few hours but we wanted a coffee and found this lovely wee coffee shop on the tiny high street, then noticed the gorgeous cakes, all freshly made on the premises. We had a latte each and a giant strawberry tart (probably the best one we have ever eaten!) and will be heading all the way back one day to sample some more! The staff were really friendly too, so if you are ever in Ullapool make sure you stop here for coffee and cake (and lots of other yummy stuff besides).

Passing through Ullapool and stumbled on this amazing takeaway. I loved the friendly service and was amazed to hear that the ladies had only been open for a few days. I chose an Italian Strata and a salad box to take with me for dinner that evening. It was fantastic, fresh and tasty. Salad was full of goodness and there was a choice of dressings and seeds. I was tempted by a cheese scone to have with a cup of tea in the afternoon and it was delicious. There was a great choice of cakes on display so I will have to go back soon!

We ordered 2 coffees to take away and 2 biscuits, tempted by the unusual flavours. The coffee was excellent and the biscuits very good (sour cherry amaretto and cardamom shortbread). One household allowed in the shop at a time.

Cafe Margot made the nicest Bacon and sausage sandwiches we've had on the entire Scottish North Coast 500. They were absolutely delicious and in homemade bread. They also had delicious creamy ice cream. Next time we are in Ullapool we definitely know where to go.
