Stunning cozy well dressed hotel! Very tailored and sophisticated in it's presentation. I loved it! The breakfast was very good. Eggs Benedict my fave! It indeed truly felt like Scotland. There happened to be an event there in the hotel it might have been a wedding but I wasn't really sure but there were lots and lots of young teenagers pre-teens dressed up formally and it was delightful to see young girls dressed up in their dresses and the young boys wearing kilts they look so distinguished and so proud of themselves you could tell that they loved their Scottish heritage I felt honoured to be able to see that.

I have bought soup from here twice. The 1st time I bought Heinz Tomato soup but the sandwich shop had clearly watered down the soup - yuk! The other time I have cock-a-leekie soup and the there was so much pepper in the soup it was inedible. Nope - never again

Cracker wee spot just out of the way enough to not bustle like the other tourist traps! Great beer selection! Could do with some snacks but that from a boozy muncher lol! Staff super engaging and knowledgeable!

Great place for dinner, we really enjoyed the meal. The service was helpful and polite. The place was not crowded the time we were. We can recommend for sure for people that want to eat sth healthy in Edinburgh

We waited 1.5 hours for food after ordering to be told that the large table who sat AFTER us, were ahead of us and it would take more time. We ordered two orders of nachos & grilled chicken skewers. Nothing that would take even 30 minutes to cook. This was extremely disappointing and honestly we were completely abandoned and our server never came back. Three tables around us for food and paid before we even got food. 0/10.

Now this is a busy wee cafe and you rarely get a spot but we were lucky enough today. Great food, lovely staff and great options. Relaxing atmosphere and I will definitely be returning.

It's a very pleasant and welcoming charity café. We stopped in after lunch and had some delicious coffees.

Superb espresso with a little bit of hot milk on the side, just the way I like it the almond croissant was temptation I couldn’t resist.

Very tasty haggis but the lemon sole disappointed. It was well prepared but flavour wise, nothing stood out to me. Heritage tomatoes were good but I missed a bit of an acidic twist. Presentation felt a bit lazy. Seems microgreens were slapped on just cause, but didn't really add much to the flavour wise. The visual atmosphere is very very appealing from when you walk through the corridor to the bar and then the dining area. It sadly got quite loud as the dining area filled up which took away from the experience a little bit.

My husband and I ordered off of Uber Eats. He got the pick 10 box with all the things. I ordered a chicken wrap with sweet chili. We both ordered a chocolate and caramel frappe and a hot chocolate. When we got the order, it arrived hot and we were not disappointed. The food and drinks were really delicious. We would definitely try again.

An up market and very enjoyable place to enjoy a dinner out. The manager and staff made us feel very welcome and the service was discrete, friendly and professional. The food was very good, well presented and very tasty. It was a shame that the restaurant was a tad on the cool side when we visited.

Beautiful inside and out, small but perfectly formed, it definitely hits the spot. Prices are, as expected, on the higher side, considering it's right on the Royal Mile. Waffle + iced coffee £20.

Wonderful food, great atmosphere and a great and very welcoming team! I would definitely go back!
