NowNow Cafe in West Lothian

My mum and I got a tea pot for two. It came in a lovely tea set (as seen in photo) and was delivered with smiles on the servers faces. For food I had the soup of the day, lentil soup, and it was gorgeous. On the larger side serving wise for me, but I don’t eat much. I was fighting with myself to try finish it because I was enjoying it so much. My mum had a macaroni and cheese, it was delicious and just the right amount for her. I 100% recommend, friendly attentive staff and a wonderful atmosphere. Not to mention the amazing food.

Just had an absolutely stunning lunch here, absolutely 100% beautiful! Very glad that we took the time to stop in for a bite to eat. The staff are very friendly, attentive and welcoming, and the whole place had such a unique and cool vibe that was really relaxing. 11/10 would recommend any day of the week!! :) already looking forward to coming back!

Took hubby and my 2 teenage boys for lunch at Now Now. Despite it being very busy, the service was excellent and the staff were very friendly, helpful and a real credit to the cafe. The food was delicious and very fairly priced. Would definitely recommend and will absolutely be back 😊

Very cosy and quaint little cafe in Livingston. First time me and my partner have been and it's a gorgeous little place with lovely tasty food as well as very friendly staff who are on the ball if you need anything. We will be returning ❤️

Great independent cafe, with delicious food and excellent service from Gail and the team. This was our second visit, while we were taking my daughter shopping for her birthday. As such her chicken nuggets arrived with birthday candles. Great South African food here too and there are so my lovely touches like the varied tea sets. Wouldn't go anywhere else now when we come to shop in Livingston!

This cafe is unbelievable The staff are funny friendly and so helpful in every way The food is delicious no matter what we have had to eat and we go back whenever we can

This is a perfect place to eat if you're shopping, or of you just want to eat! The food and drinks here are to die for and all the staff are polite and professional. They have a wide range of food that can accommodate to people with allergies aswell. Everyone needs to come here at least once in their life!!

Have you ever tried a Prego Roll? Oh you simply must, but don't just go anywhere for it, go to NowNow. Prego, is a very traditional South African / Portugese dish of very spicy fried steak. The one that I had here really tasted like home. Can't wait to have my next one.

This place is an absolute diamond, everything about it is superb. It's a family run business and such a refreshing change. It's very welcoming and the staff are so caring, you can tell that every single one of them is passionate about their business. Their food is amazing too, everything is made with love and it shows. If you are shopping and need somewhere to eat, go and sit down in a warm and welcoming environment, and eat some great food. You won't be disappointed

Fantastic Cafe ,Had the full Scottish Breakfast can quite honestly say this was the best quality Haggis and Black pudding I’ve eaten in a long time food is always prepared fresh and presented properly,staff are warm and welcomed attentive,couldn’t fault anything ,great experience will be back soon .

It’s been a year since we were last here. So glad we came back, very convenient for mum in wheelchair fitted into table for 3 of us in front part of cafe, this appealed to mum gave her opportunity to people watch to see if she saw any familiar faces as she doesn’t get to centre on her own anymore and has been coming up to centre for 40+ years. Such pleasant staff and owner very welcoming, sorry didn’t get young woman’s name wore glasses and had coloured tied back hair. Anyway on to important facts, good menu, plenty of choices. Mum enjoyed a bowl of homemade soup with morning roll, husband had macaroni with garlic bread and side of chips which he said was tasty and I had an enjoyable Worst sausage on roll also with chips which didn’t really need but enjoyed. I enjoyed my flat white coffee unfortunately had no space for dessert or cakes. This came to a very reasonable cost and all were very satisfied with food and service in this popular cafe. Makes coming to Centre worthwhile.

Wow the girl that served my colleague and myself really made my day , she was so happy and very friendly and had a smile to melt anything, she's an absolute asset to you , didn't get her name , but she had dark hair and glasses such a beautiful human being

Best choice ever! The staffs are very friendly, the food came very quickly, warm, and delicious. I ordered a beef burger with salad and fries. My husband ordered beef and caramelised onions baguette. We wanted desserts, but the food is so well served that wasn’t space in our belly for more food. We will need to come back definitely to try the desserts and eat again the delicious food we had. 😋

Very friendly staff, a lovely place but unfortunately I can’t say much about the food. Got a baked potato which was brown inside and covered in far too much horrible coleslaw could hardly see the cheese, I sent it back and got a cheese and onion toastie, which wasn’t much better taste less cheese and cost a fortune sorry I won’t be back

This is a hidden gem in Livingston. The food is excellent, high quality and fresh. I had the open New York Deli Pastrami sandwich on sourdough. It has heaps of pastrami, fresh sourdough bread, delicious pickles and red coleslaw on the side. I can thoroughly recommend NowNow. Friendly efficient staff too.

We were encouraged to try Nownow for the breakfast as they really do cater for Gluten free and dairy intolerant people. The breakfast was lovely, my wife also managed to get a roll for a change. Country breakfast was lovely. The cakes were a nice finish. Staff chatted and it was a great atmosphere. Thank you all at Nownow.

10/10 the food and drinks are amazing! And they bring the food in under 20 minutes! If you’re looking for food and drinks quickly this is the place to go.

Ordered cheese and ham toasties here for lunch. Worst toastie I've ever had.. It was cheese and ham with the cheese not melted which made it very dry. The little bit of salad was bland no dressing. Plenty of eating places in Livingston I will not be back.

We found ourselves in Livingston for a short period and didn't want to eat at the fast food eateries that are typical of shopping malls. For the first couple of visits, we had coffee and cake which was very nice and the staff were thoughtful in their accommodation of us with our infant child. I really recommend the milkshakes which they will make thicker on request. Honestly, the milkshake was among the best that I have had and I consider myself something of a milkshake connoisseur! For those that like a more grown up drink, my wife recommends the turmeric latte. The mac n' cheese, cheesecake and vegiburger were also very nice. Try and get seated inside if you can for the best atmosphere.

I've been to this cafe a few times and every experience has been positive, the food and drinks have been fantastic and the service is always excellent! The owner goes out of her way to make people feel welcome and if you have kids, they are always welcome and there's colouring with crayons for entertainment. I've had issues with my pram in other cafes, but there's always been room here. There are a few mentions of price in other reviews and while I wouldn't say it's cheap, the quality is excellent! It's not just home-made quality, but pattisserie quality! The coffee is also very good quality!

Irdered blt bagel and american sandwich. Dry and over cooked bacon. Stale bagel. Stale sourdough bread. Lack of dressing or mayo. Over priced poor quality food. Complained but excuses were given, food not refunded only 1 drink as a gesture...asked for bill and made to wait as a return for complaining. No sorry nor willingness to listen. Real shame!

Vegan options available, only had one dessert option left when we visited but the brownie was really good so I'll allow it! Staff were really friendly and attentive, coffee was really good too. My dining partner rated the warm scone and portion sizes were good for the price.

Went for coffee and a drink of juice with my daughter this morning. Unfortunately there was a barely visible chip in the glass which resulted in a small cut in my lip. The staff were so apologetic..replaced the glass and drink...nulled our bill and handed me a gift voucher for another visit. THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL GOOD SERVICE 👍 I visit Now Now fairly regularly and the food is always fresh and well cooked..staff are attentive and pleasant..definitely worth a visit.....even when something goes wrong, as it sometimes will, they handled the situation in a professional manner..Well done Now Now 😊

We arrived at 11:27 thinking we still had time to do order a late breakfast before heading back down south but by the time we got attended by one of the staff, it was 11:32. Unfortunately we had to leave without ordering as the breakfast window had closed. The worst part, and the reason for my rating, is that we spent 45mins looking for breakfast/brunch in the local vicinity without any luck and finally decided to carry on with our journey. It was a terrible experience and I appreciate the timing didn't help but it's up to the management on how strict they can be about borderline orders. Apparently, very strict!

Myself and my sister were looking for somewhere to eat so decided to try here. We were really looking for some macaroni cheese and by chance, one of the girls (Amy) who was a member of staff over heard and accommodated us by combining children’s portions to make a full portion for each of us. Amy was so friendly as were the rest of the staff and although this was only our first time coming here, we will definitely be back and will also recommend this place to others. I also just want to add the food was incredible (best macaroni cheese about!!)

Judging by the queue at the door, my wife and I decided to drop in. We were not disappointed.

Lovely food as always only issue was the waiter was too eager to take our order. From the minute we sat down it was a constant 'are you ready to order'. Ironically we were not getting a chance to read the menu for asking for waiter to give us time to look.

Just love this cafe. Great food and a South African twist. It's difficult to get a seat but that's because it's such a great wee cafe!

My sister and I were so impressed with this cafe inside the shopping centre and we are not easily pleased. I am also coeliac and my gf toasted sandwich was delicious and the heated gf pecan pie with cream and ice cream was amazing. My sister said her big cup of coffee was one of the best coffee she ever had. The staff were so helpful and friendly with quick service even though it was very busy. And the decor is quirky and very welcoming. Will be back again as so many more dishes we want to try.

I only go to Now Now for the ice cream but the service the other day was slow as in the three people I saw were busy and one on the phone I got the feeling that I was seen but they might have been too tired to serve me, the ice cream is great though so I'll be back.

Just can't fault How Now. This family-run cafe provides five star personal service offering freshly made delicious food. The difference between How Now and the chain restaurants elsewhere in town is stark

A wonderful place. It is very clean, with polite and friendly staff, they always do their job perfectly and with a smile. The food is always amazing, and they'll do their best to accommodate you if you want to make a slight change. Overall wonderful, will return.

This review is for the Breakfast Menu only. One of the best and only places to get freshly made breakfast in The Centre. I order the Scottish Breakfast with a regular latte, and every item on my plate was cooked perfectly, hot and delicious! It's rare to find a breakfast that delivers so well across the board. The coffee was amazingly smooth and rich with a slight nutty flavour and generous in size. This would be my second visit and was equally as good as the first and I would recommend the Breakfast Menu to anyone looking for great food and drink that is worth the price you pay.

We hadn’t planned to have lunch in Now,Now however I am so glad we did. Every time we pass this place it is always busy however when we passed on Sunday there was a couple of spare tables so we decided to have lunch. The place is spotless and the waitress who served us (sorry didn’t get her name )was so lovely and very efficient. The menu is varied however we both opted for a baked potato. I wish I had taken a photo as the presentation was really impressive. Lovely potato ,coronation chicken filling with homemade coleslaw and fresh salad on the side.. my husband opted for beef curry in his which was full of tasty tender chunks of beef in a lovely homemade curry sauce. All in all it was a throughly enjoyable lunch in terms of food and service. I can’t recommend this place highly enough and we will definitely be back.

So good the first time we had to revisit and try something else. This lovely tearoom offers an amazing menu. The pulled pork buns were amazing and so was the BLT bun. Nice coleslaw to go with it. The young man who served us on both occasions was an impeccable waiter and he certainly goes to a lot of trouble to make sure you are well looked after. We were even told they thought our chips were too overcooked so were cooking a new batch and apologised for the wait. Owners of NowNow Cafe should be very proud of this great cafe! It's 5 stars!
