Here for Fight Robots Fight 10th anniversary gig, with Guns At Brunch, and Rhuari Campbell (Slow For A Poet). Excellent venue, with local beer, nice staff, great atmosphere. I really enjoyed it here, and from the people I spoke to - so did everyone else :) Highly recommend. I'll be back - definitely. (Btw - I very very very rarely leave a review).

Small restaurant, great ambiance, great music. The staff was amazingly kind. The food was delicious and the portions were just enough. I'd recommend to book in advance since there are live music and different events going on every few days. But it's totally worth it! I'll definitely go back if I happen to travel in Edinburgh in the future.

Place frequented by locals. A little dirty. Good choice of beer. Cocktails failed. Probably due to the chlorine in the water used for ice, the cocktail was undrinkable. Unfriendly staff. Aesthetically less nice than other pubs in Edinburgh.

Popped in to dodge a downpour had a quick pint of Paulaner interesting menu nice vibe and live music we will be back!

Rustic, cozy pub, nice service and a cozy atmosphere. Make a reservation if you want to do the pub quiz. Cool event location! Felt very local!

Good food! Cheesy fries were amazing and the fish and chips were good as well.

Mimi is lovely. Quality, price and environment relationship meet all expectations. Just a small problem unrelated to the place: at the next table there were some Spanish women speaking perfect English and they thought we didn't understand them. This is what we Andalusians have, that we do not need to spend half our lives abroad because we are understood everywhere.

Would I call this a gastro pub? Based on the cheese burger definitely not. I've passed this place many times but popped in with my partner for dinner for the first time this week. Lovely vibes and friendly welcome. Staff attentive and polite, great drinks selection. Food menu is good too, what you would expect from a pub. My burger was a real let down however, mainly due to the small and cheap but significant element: the bun. Dry, flakey, low quality... Please buy better ones... The fries were also quite mediocre. My partner's chicken burger was tasty and juicy, and he got cheese sauce as an extra, which they didn't charge for, so that was very kind!

The veggie burgers are better then the meat. Not an easy feat to pull off. Great selection of Beers, great non alc options, very welcoming to everyone. What more can you ask for?

Had a fantastic lunch at Leith Depot. Burgers were full of flavour and sides packed a punch. Nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. Very friendly staff. The battered haddock burger with beer battered prawns was brilliant!

This is a fine little gastro pub. It's good for a pint better for grub, an excellent menu for you to peruse, fill up with scran before consuming the booze.

Place: Small space and tight quarters but a nice spot overall. Service: Super friendly staff, very accommodating - our whole crew commented on it afterwards just how sweet the servers were here. Food: Excellent - the halloumi and avocado salad was perfect. I had the Korean filthy chips, likely wouldn't order that again as they were more of a wedge / bigger potato pieces. Not bad just not what we anticipated. Prices: Well priced, especially for the quantity and quality. Conclusion: Nice restaurant that I would absolutely come back to.

Walked in asked for a table for a party of 5 (seen empty tables) was told they were full, seen a seating area outside to which I asked could we go there , answer was then they weren't actually serving food. Ridiculous Maybe they didn't like my Irish accent ?

Was here for an event then a late lunch. Their function room can perhaps comfortably house 30 people at most. It can get a bit stuffy, even in the winter months. On a Sunday, their kitchen may close at either 3 or 4 pm, check with bar staff. Also you probably want to reserve a table as the local demand varies. On the day friends and I decided to stay for a late lunch, staff were accommodating even though our numbers changed a couple times. It wasn’t busy though, mind. I went for their veggie breakfast with scrambled eggs. Even though it took a while to arrive, it arrived hot and nicely cooked. I particularly enjoyed their veggie haggis. Will be back to try other things on the menu. Friendly service.

The food here exceeds any expectations of pub food. The Syrian aubergine dish is out of this world, and it goes very well with the halloumi avocado pomegranate salad. Super wholesome, filling, delicious and beautifully colourful. Lovely meal and also lovely staff who are friendly and chatty.

Dropped in here to see music act. I don’t know if it was the house PA system, but wow, what a great sound! Afterwards, we sat in the bar, where they had a great selection of beers, and there was no shouting at us to leave when the bar shut. We were just left to finish our beer and chat, which was such a welcome surprise. Another of the highlights were the seats at the bar tables. I won’t spoil it for you… See them for yourself!

This is the bar I liked the most during my short stay in Edinburgh. The welcome is warm, the staff is really friendly and caring (My english is not perfect), the food is very good (Halloumi and Avocado Salade) delicious, the beer selection is incredible. I was happy to discover this bar as a French person traveling alone. I will definitely come back on my next visit. Merci :-)

Quirky and cosy pub. Went to hear a band in the small venue.

We used the function room and it was great for the occasion.

I hate to pile on when they are having a bad day but as soon as we sat down we were warned that there would be a wait for the food, the place was not busy at this time so we expected the wait would still be acceptable. About an hour after ordering we were told that their oven had broke and several of the meals were no longer available so we had to reorder. It was 2 hours after arriving that all the meals were served, none of the sides arrived before we finished the mains. That being said all of the food was really excellent. I highly recommend the Firecrackers Cauliflower. The experience was a 2/5 but the food brought my overall rating to a 3/5.

Vibrant ,warm and welcoming. Drinks are greatly priced , loved the comedy show that is on first Wednesday of each month. Can't beat great atmosphere with great comedy acts here ! Definitely visiting again x

Delicious food and great selection of Leith beer. The staff was very friendly, they made us feel comfortable and we enjoyed discussing with them the choice of food and drinks, we tried a bit of everything and it was all amazing. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Best fish and chips I've ever had! I'm 57 and have eaten a lot of fish and chips over the years. Portions are massive and the staff are great. Glad it's just around the corner.

One of the best places to go for a drink in Leith, good food, cracking deserts. The music venue is a much needed boost to Leith's entertainment offerings.

Really cool pub. Loved the comedy night it was hilarious. The host Viv Gee is so funny & lovely. Ideal if you want a chilled out comedy night with loads of belly ache laughs!

Wen for dinner after looking at trip advisor reviews BUT the pictures of the food there do not exist on the menu at the bar. Menu had changed we were told. Not the staffs fault if trip advisor has old pics but surely someone has to step in and make it current Staff were excellent, atmosphere nice but the new menu was not really for us although we did eat there as were hungry and ready to eat. Burger was fine (but not what i would typically order) and my wife's dish was quite nice, a vegetarian aubergine dish. So it certainly was OK but ultimately a disappointment based on what we had traveled to experience

Called in for some food and a good pint, got both. Really delicious fried chicken and fries, with other good looking food coming out of the kitchen. Good range of local beer on tap to accompany.
