Dirty and the coffees nothing special

Service very unpleasant, we ordered three meals and did not receive cutlery, I do not recommend, so far the worst establishment we have visited in Edinburgh.

Nice atmosphere would definitely recommend wonderful experience. relaxing with a couple beers and vodkas after a walk along the promonad haven't tried food yet so can't comment on. will be back for a beer and food next time . The owner and staff members are friendly and welcoming.

Horrible service and experience. Waitress rude and inattentive. (Lacked experience - needs training). Savory Pastries were good Scones below average (dry) Sweets the same, below average. Avoid overpaying and a bad experience. Enjoy the castle! It is great!

A few weeks ago my brother and l walked in and waited patiently at the bar for 4 mins to be served while the bar man continue his conversation with a customer and so we walked out after being ignored.

Now called Edwards Bar and Grill, still a great little pit stop for drinks and food. The juke box adds a nice touch to the atmosphere 👌

What an attractive and cozy pub. The food is tasty and affordable.

Lovely old hotel, lovely breakfast and great service. Luckily we were on the first floor with small suitcases but be aware there are no lifts. Otherwise great location for buses into Edinburgh City centre and close enough that getting an uber back didn't break the bank either. Great price for location.

Came from England, stumbled upon this place accidentally as it had karaoke on, and my girlfriend loves karaoke, The host was great, the atmosphere was brilliant. Every singer got encouragement from the host and everyone in the bar. We had a great night.

Oh wow! We thought it’ll be nice to have dinner in a restaurant instead of going to a pub! High hopes however the battered cod & chips was tasteless and pretty oily¿ How can a simple dish fail In a hotel restaurant! Never again

Great food and drinks. Bar wait slightly long but other than that, it was a quick efficient service.
