The Inchcolm Inn in Edinburgh, City of

A pretty location with some great offerings in terms of food, the Haggis Bon Bon, Seabass and Haddock were all excellent. Some might object to the veggies not being cooked through, but I like'em with a little bite to them. The desert (apple crumble) was also quite tasty.

Very nice food and very good for dog.

Dropped in to watch some football while on my holiday, nice and clean environment. Staff very welcoming.

Pipped in for a coffee (had a pint) with my young son and my parents. The female server was so attentive and accommodating. Sat in beer garden, which was a little tired, although proper sun trap! Inside appeared to offer live sport when on. Food wasn't available at that time. Approx a little before 12 noon. Asked if they had crisps, unfortunately not, we were offered complimentary biscotti biscuits which were very welcome!

Had lunch at the Inchcolm Inn I must say it was amazing food superb staff very nice nothing to much bother will definitely be going back and definitely recommend it .

Lovely place! Friendly & welcoming staff and a nice chilled atmosphere it is a nicely decorated, large pub with plenty of seating and the outdoor garden area is beautiful. The food was incredible and I highly recommend 👌🏼

Less than average. No Wi-Fi for customers, no music playing in background. Staff is nice, service ok but they need to work about atmosphere in the pub.

Extremely overpriced for what you get. £13:95 for two slices of gammon, one large potato cut up, half a carrot and small amount of gravy. We asked for extra gravy and was presented with something the size of the small salt shaker. The food was tasty however the Yorkshire puddings were frozen and not home made, at this price you'd expect better. Previous reviews and photos mislead us to inchcolm. The waitresses we had were really nice and served us quickly. Just a shame the quality and quantity wasn't matching the price of the meal.

Phenomenal food and cocktails, brilliant atmosphere and some of the friendliest staff you'll find in south queensferry. If you're stopping by for a day you should definitely stop in!

The Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made a great first impression. The pub is meticulously clean and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Lovely place to sit, chat and just be. I had the Rigatoni in 3 Cheese Sauce which was absolutely perfect! Creamy, velvety! The cocktails are highly recommended too! Dog Friendly too...!!! Highly recommended!

Apologies for late review. We were in town for wedding (25/2) and the previous evening (24/2), looking for a place to eat, this was the only eating place to take on a party of 10 (including kids) after eight pm. Staff where brilliant, food excellent at a fair price. I recommend this establishment to all.

Lovely place for a meal. Didn't need to book and we're happy to add a table for our party of 7. Menu was varied and there was a kids menu too. Food took a while to arrive but when it did it was lovely.

Food really excellent staff very friendly prices very reasonable. Musician was in a small area and was really loud so we ate outside.

The staff here are always very welcoming and friendly. They take time to chat to our kids and Nothing is to much bother. The food is always fantastic everything cooked fresh. A relaxed atmosphere but still plenty going on. We always enjoy coming here have never had a bad meal or service and rate it very highly.

The best beer garden in Queensferry. Service is friendly. Very dog friendly too, dogs get a bowl of water if needed. Menu doesn't have a wide variety however, what is on tastes amazing and is reasonably priced.

Genuinely excellent, fresh, interesting food. Good portions, well priced, friendly staff, can't complain at all. Totally recommended.

New menu has really nice food scallops we're really good. Though if they have a 2 or 3 big tables in be prepared to wait over an hour and a half for a starter.

Booked a table for me and my girlfriend for some dinner as it is dog friendly and we hadn't been out in a while. We drove quite a distance as we are not local to the area but it looked worth it, we got to the door and were told they had stopped selling food due to low stock but other tables were eating. The staff seemed friendly but we never stayed long enough to find out. Very disappointed as we should have been phoned especially after booking a table

Sorry to say. But this place is closing down soon. Not sure when. We got a lovely meal here. We both enjoyed what we got. It was my girlfriends birthday today.

Stumbled across as other venues were either fully booked or closed. Lovely location and friendly attentive staff. Food was needed after 1 leg of the bridge for the return journey to Fife.

I went with friends for lunch and ordered two starters instead of a main as I couldn't make up my mind. There's a lunch time offer which is very reasonable. The food was delicious! Kudos to the Chef. The young woman making cocktails deserves a mention too. Well worth a visit. Oh and if you have a four legged friend, they're welcome too.

Had the most amazing fish and chips for lunch along with delicious cheesecake and coffee with my friend. Was expecting the bill to be pricey but it certainly wasn't!!! We had the most amazing view too with a stunning rainbow right outside the window 😍🌈 Will definitely be back 😍

Friendly service, spacious pub with beer garden and they are dog friendly- check out the dog menu !! Solid choices of food - we had the cheeseburger, which was juicy and well seasoned, covered in melty cheese and great burger sauce. Sunday roast is unmissable so went for the beef option and it was just really good, honest food cooked by chef who clearly likes his job. All components of the meal were nicely seasoned and cooked. Plenty of veg and rich gravy, Yorkshire pudding cripsy and airy, this is definitely something to check out. Pay them a visit when you’re in the area

Food was pretty poor - caterpillar in one meal, lukewarm fries in another. Barman/waiter was polite and friendly though. Wouldn't go back for food - might pop in for a drink sometime

In the ferry for the morning with grandkids...doing the painted pottery thing along under the rail bridge(brilliant). Decided to wander into village and find some lunch....and ended up under road bridge. We didn't get in to the "posh" place up the stairs because we hadn't booked...the place looked pretty empty so I suppose they were just waiting for the tour bus or cruise liner to dock and didn't want to squeeze us in. We headed back into village and noticed Inchcolm Inn. We couldn't of been treated more differently....great welcome great pub food and just happy to of service to kids with various food requests..So no need to venture further along the road in future...I've found one of the friendly nice places and will be back.

Only reopened this year very clean and respectable only called in for a quick pint with my mate we were slightly disappointed that they did not have bel haven beer anymore so we settled for john Smith's nice beer garden as well

Chips stone cold, but they did bring others. Ordered desserts but after 30 minute wait cancelled. Never got a sorry from staff. But seemed to be 3 very young members of staff. No sign of a manager.

Just back from here after having lunch & what a lunch it was with my friend Lesley-Anne Cronin. We really enjoyed every mouthful. The food was excellent, the staff friendly & polite. A very pleasant day all round. Thank you. Oh & we will definitely be back again. 😊😊

We were here for drink last night and found it excellent .if back in area would definitely go back food was delicious and young man that served us was very good.place was spotless.

Just had lunch at the Inchcom and very dissapointed. Starter was nice, mains were awful and very slow service even though the place was quiet. I wouldn't recommend as even when I mentioned to the waitress that the food was poor i.e. mac & cheese was dry and no cheese sauce what so ever it seemed she was used to it and just said I'll mention it to the chef. No apology or discount from bill, I won't be back.

Haggis Croquettes with the whiskey sauce was amazing - would have loved a couple more 😋. Lovely and attentive staff. It was a Tuesday afternoon and fairly quiet - however I will be back again for food definitely.

Not recommend this place for food. Fries were still frozen , obviously any of food ingredients were not fresh. If we could find any other place available we would not stay .

I am giving 2stars because we enjoyed our own company and honestly our drink (Beers) . Well it was five of us got in this place order some drink then moments later once we were about to order the lunch we were disappointed at the first place due to not having the food which we were going to order only at 2pm fish and chip and Mac cheese so 2 of us left with no more choice but frise , customer service was poor due to lack of staff . Then We were most disappointed once again after ages when we had the food , burgers were completely dry, frise were uncooked. I complained about all these to the staff but they just look at us but any reaction, obviously seemsthe manageror owner was home takingsun bed lol. Anyway as a professional chef I would not recommend this place to anyone who are food lovers and knows what the fresh food is!

Not recommend to anyone, the service was awful , the food took more than 40 minutes to be served, not all the menu was ready to be served. I had to have just chips for lunch because I've been told that they ran out of fish after 40 minutes waiting 😑 terrible customer service.

El inchcolme Inn es un hermoso pub en una de las mejores ubicaciones de Escocia (en mi opinión). Sólo estuvimos allí para tomar unas copas y para ver una banda, pero nos lo pasamos genial. La próxima vez definitivamente vamos a pedir comida. El único inconveniente es la falta de plazas de aparcamiento.

We were going across to Fife last Saturday night and thought we would stop off for something to eat at the Incholm Inn at South Queensferry.

Had lunch at the Inchcolm Inn with some friends the food was very good and excellent value for money the staff were lovely so helpful and friendly could not fault them a nice relaxing atmosphere. The negatives they had no diet lemonade and I really feel if they got a cigarette bin at the front of the pub and got some tubs with flowers would make it much more appealing to go into also the beer garden at the back needs a makeover could be really lovely but at the moment looks very shabby Ichcolm has a lot off potential and could really be the excellent traditional family pub that southqueensferry is lacking

My friend i visited here yesterday after boat trip...staff were lovely...food was great had fish chips fish was amazing...would highly recommend here..also we could take my friends wee dog in which added to our day....

Menu need updating and most of food was sold out .. and that was at 7pm on a Saturday. Also over priced

Great value food was cooked to perfection. Two sharing platters of starters were more than enough for 3 adults and 2 kids. Parking is limited but otherwise cannot be faulted. Very clean and staff are friendly.

No ales or john Smith's available , member of staff was helpful and mentioned that they have a beer garden, but when we left and said cheerio the 3 staff were watching football on the TV and did not acknowledge us

Agradable ver el pollo se cocinan en el hueso. El tamaño de las porciones sin duda satisfacer apetitos más grandes. La próxima vez que estemos en la zona sin ir en ningún otro lugar.
