Stood waiting to be served at the counter without any acknowledgment at all , very unfriendly female behind the counter . Dirty tables inside , condensation all over windows so view ruined . Unclean toilet with broken hand dryer yet no towels provided . Window seat ( kept for staff to use at lunch time - crazy given most paying customers would want to sit there ) . 4 customers got up and walked out whilst I was waiting to be served at the counter , clearly not happy , we quickly followed suit and changed our coffee to go ! All in all , the place had a stale vibe and just felt unclean . Couldn’t drag me back in .

Lunch got off to a good start. A nice quiche and a coffee for under a tenner. Nice server as well. Then I fancied a slice of roulade and was charged £4.95 for the small pleasure. Different server right enough, I let her keep the 5p changed, looked as though she needed it more than me. Shame that, was thinking about taking the whole family there for breakfast one day but won't be back now. These places that don't display prices always let you down.

This place ticked all our boxes, friendly staff, dog friendly, impressive food and incredible pastries and slices. Even though the cafe was busy we found seats pretty quickly. Tables are high as are 85% of the chairs but this is mainly to keep our furry friends noses off table tops, there is a large table with dining chairs on the right as you enter. Many tasty beverages are available and food is fresh and varied. I had to buy my husband some tasty treats as I had sent him some pictures of the brunch my Mum, Nephew and I were raving about. 🤣 we will definitely be back.

Ordered 2 coffees and 2 hot rolls to take out. Unfortunately the shop had a power cut just as we were paying. I thought that the staff would pass over the rolls, that were ready, so we could eat them when they were hot, and pay later when their power cut had been fixed. Instead they elected to hold onto the rolls until the power was fixed and then they passed over our now cold rolls. When we brought the rolls back and asked for them to be warmed up it was obvious that staff weren’t having a good day. Felt like we were bothering the staff, the rolls were thrown in the bin and I was told to “step to one side”. Everywhere can have a bad day from time from time, when things don’t go right. Customers will understand this but what they won’t understand is poor service, lack of good manners and common courtesy.

This is our favourite place to get coffee in South Queensferry! We moved here in August last year and have tried a fair few coffee shops, nothing beats the vibe and quality of coffee at Manna House 💕💖 The staff are so lovely and accomodating and the only true downside is often it is so packed out that there's nowhere to sit. Absolutely adore their bakery bits, hint: the carrot cake is SINFUL. 100% recommend stopping in and trying at least their coffee, you'll be hard pressed to find a nicer roast in Queensferry.

NOTHING VEGAN. The owner was indifferent when I complained and said I wouldn't be back, just shrugged his sholders. I was told I could eat soup or salad, nothing to go with a coffee! (Its a coffee shop!). It costs just £2-£3 pounds to make a batch a vegan baking! (You can freeze baking). Even if you didnt sell much of it, its peanuts! (Quote: he couldnt sell enough to warrant even making it). I paid £7.55 just for a coke, a coffee, and a pre bought croissant! This is for that reason i went into business in Scotland to combat awful service like this. The Motto is: you're just a tourist your not coming back soon any way, we don't care. Awful, arrogant and indifferent. Very embarrassed as a Scot to think this is how we treat visitors to our country! On top of that I was accused of being rude (customer shaming) for having the "audacity" to complain. I wasn't rude at all. P.S. I offer vegan and vegetarian options in my business at no loss to my profits and people return for that reason. Never again.

Delicious lunch on a chilly day. Managed to get the two stools by the door that look out to the rail bridge. The best coffee we’ve had in a long time. We each had a tart, accompanied by red cabbage slaw. The tarts, one beetroot and cheese and the other cheese and onion, were warmed through, and excellent - the pastry was sublime. Please do not use this restaurant if you have any form of disability. I suffer from Parkinson’s Disease. It is easy to identify I have a disability as I use a walking stick and struggle badly with my balance. My wife and I attempted to visit this establishment this morning. There were plenty of seats available as only a few were occupied. I went to sit down, while my wife went to the counter to order food. Someone approached from behind the counter to say that the seat I had chosen wasn’t available. He offered no reason as to why the table was not available. We then went to choose another table when a young couple said to take a seat at their table which was long and had about 6 empty seats. I made my way to the opposite end of that table, well away from the young couple, only to be confronted by the same person who said there were no seats available for me. My disability makes negotiating small spaces very difficult so by this time I was exhausted and could have done with any kind of seat just for a rest. However we had no option but to leave. There was no explanation on why there was no seat available and I was left feeling embarrassed, exhausted and more than annoyed. The only reason I have awarded this restaurant one star is as far as I can tell the system doesn’t offer the ability to award zero.

We have visited this cafe many times as we live around the corner. The staff we’re always outstanding and helpful but since Covid restricted their operating times and menu, the quality has noticeably dipped on the part of a particular member of the staff. We went today and the choice of food was particularly good - we had chicken Caesar salad which was certainly amongst the best I’ve tasted. What a lucky find for us looking for a late morning coffee and discovering we were early enough to enjoy a super breakfast. What a treat! Can't believe the poor reviews I've seen as staff could not have been more helpful and cheery despite this awful crisis. Different twists on the usual fare like scrambled eggs on sour dough toast with optional additions of smoked salmon, bacon, sausage or black pudding. Yummy tucky!! Shame we'd already got somewhere else planned for lunch as the baguettes and rolls looked amazing. An impressive display of other savouries and the cakes and sweet pastries were very tempting. If we lived near here we would be in every week but sadly we are all the way down south. We will however, remember this place and make sure we visit next time we are on our holidays in the area. When I was finally given a table and my friend arrived with her children we were asked to leave as the children being there meant too many people at our table. I tried to point out that children under 12 are not included in covid restrictions and numbers but the manager asked us to leave. He estado aquí varias veces recientemente.

Conveniently located on the High St in South Queensferry, Manna House was recommended to us as a lovely spot for an informal lunch. There were five of us. It’s quite small and had steamed-up windows so I wasn’t sure what it would be like. But it was excellent. We managed to get a table which was great. It offered cake and hot drinks, rolls, but also quite substantial hot food (I had a totally delicious mushroom and leek soup). My friends has Vege chilli and nachos, meatballs and Vege pie. Dying for a Coffee and a Snack, looked good from the outside, so in we went. All the tables were set up for 4 persons plus. So no alternative but to share. The bulk of the Sanwiches on offer were on either Italian or Sourdough breads, all were already made, and none available to be made on order.I had an Egg Mayo on Sourdough., the filling quantity was probably the worst I have ever encountered, you could see the Mayo, but virtually no Egg. The assistant did mention that I was being given the last Egg Mayo., certainly I got the scrapings of the Mayo Mix. My other half's Scone was more than a day old. Interestingly 4 hours earlier we had stopped for coffee and the difference was night and day. This establishment is fine for Coffee only., but anything else at your peril, especially over a weekend.

I’ve always loved coming here, great fresh food and dog friendly. But today was absolutely awful I can’t remember the last time I’ve received such bad service. Made worse by the fact that my requests were very simple and straightforward. We arrived at 12:10 and missed breakfast orders by 10mins. Despite bacon being cooked for a customer we were told point blank that breakfast was finished. I ordered 2 coffees, a pastry and a scone instead and bought a loaf of walnut bread to take home. My partners pastry was served and despite eating it slowly he’d finished before my scone or our coffees arrived. We were then told that someone else had bought the walnut loaf so we couldn’t have it. I asked how this had happened and I was told someone else had bought it first. I choose a cheaper loaf instead. The coffees arrived but no scone, which I eventually had to ask for. We finished up our coffees and got ready to leave. I then had to ask for the difference in the price of the bread to be refunded. These are all very small things but at every opportunity today they got it wrong.....as a frequent customer I’m not keen to head back. There’s lots of other lovely cafes in South Queensferry to try.

Popped in for something sweet to take away. Banana cake was delicious a little over priced 2.80 for 1 slice. But still very nice. Server was very nice and appeared friendly

A nice place to visit whilst in South Queensferry. We stopped in for morning coffee, cake and a bacon roll. Coffee was very good, as was the hot chocolate. Pastries were nice. We didn't try the cakes.. Bacon roll was not so good, nice bread roll but bacon was under cooked, so lot of stringy fat to remove. Not sure of the quality of bacon either. The brown sauce was in an HP sauce bottle which had been filled with cheap brown sauce, bit cheeky. I only like HP sauce, so roll was a bit ruined. Everything is a little expensive, but not unexpected considering the tourist area. Would probably try one of the many other places in South Queensferry next time, but may return for a second try.

Called in whilst in the area and what a lovely place to grab a coffee and a bite to eat. The food in the bakery looks so apertising and staff very friendly. Good parking nearby and views over the Forth.

Holidaying in the area we went for a saunter around south Queensferry and came across this place. Went in for coffee which was excellent and couldn't resist the pastries. All in all a great find run, it seemed, by two guys who couldn't have been more helpful. Well done.

Manna House Bakery is a cosy and charming place to enjoy fine patisseries and coffee with partial views of the iconic trio of South Queensferry bridges. It was very busy during my visit with many people sitting inside. It caused a little delay in being served but I put this down to sheer popularity. It’s a very congenial bakery with a variety of choice, teas and coffees. The pastries appear all freshly homemade and are neatly presented. From scrambled egg breakfasts to soup, Manna House appear to offer a wide range of treats too. My pain aux raisin was especially tasty and the americano, despite taking far too long to prepare, was good. Again, the sheer volume of people queuing and waiting compared to three staff members behind the counter and in the open kitchen space was not so compatible! If I am back in the area again I’ll be sure to visit, though.

This cafe has awesome cakes and pastries and superb coffees, with an assortment of milks. I had an almond milk cap and it was just delicious. The service was wonderful and staff are very friendly. It’s great for a bite for anyone as they have vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Highly recommended, although seating is limited.

We were actually going to another coffee shop in Queensferry but couldn’t find a parking spot as this village is extremely touristy however, we stumbled across The Manna House Bakery & was quite glad that we couldn’t get a parking spot as this bakery is great. Beautiful breads, scones & salads. Highly recommend.

Visited on what was a very busy day, but the staff were not able to cope. The waiter who brought over the food had forgotten part of the order. Later, we had to chase a waitress for drinks which she had forgotten about. The food was nice but expensive for what you get. They'll do alright because of the volume of tourists in the summer, but I'm afraid it's nothing special. The cakes were nice and not too expensive.

After a long bike ride, we were searching for something quick and not super heavy for lunch before the way back. I was having chilli sin carne and my friend had chickpeas salad and coffee. Everything was delicious, the only thing I found weird was no price shown next to some dishes, which always drives me crazy. Generally a nice place with view on the famous bridges (try to find a seat where the windows are clean, though :))

We stopped here and had a super tasty simple breakfast of scrambled eggs and crossants. Everything was delicious and there was a lovely friendly and relaxed atmosphere. All the staff were really helpful. Everything looked so delicious we returned to buy sandwiches for a picnic. The foccaccia sandwich in particular was really really good! We will be back!

Excellent place for lunch, good selection of sandwiches on homemade bread, quiche and salad, including vegan and vegetarian options. There were all also plentiful options in terms of pastries, cakes and brownies. It was quite busy (was a Friday lunchtime), but the staff were efficient and friendly. Also it is dog friendly.

Love this place, great food, coffe, service and reasonable prices. Only problem is that everybody knows that, so it's difficult to get in sometimes.

This is a very good bakery and cafe in a beautiful location with views of the Forth and the bridges. There is a good selection of food and it is all of very good quality. For obvious reasons it is very popular and, certainly at weekends, it can be difficult to get a seat - so be prepared to wait.

Went here today 13 April - with hubby for something to eat and bought some bread. The food we ate was ok but I felt one of the loaves I bought was not as sold to me. I was told it was full of herbs and olives called Mediterranean. So disappointed on cutting it and finding No herbs or Olives and now cheap at around £2.95. Did find what looked like sesame seeds on top but there was no mention of that even although I advised the member of staff I had dietary problems. Not good.....

This is a great wee find for folk who like a salad and a good sandwich. Fresh and different every day. Making the most of the seasonal veg salad bowls are enormous and very filling. Many are also Vegan. Range of bread based yummy stuff too. Accessible with a wheelchair or a pram. Highly recommend. We kept going back!

Greeted by a very friendly guy who did all he could to help my mobile-challenged companion we were a bit disappointed by the cakes. Mine was the last sorry peace of coffee and walnut, so dry that both frosting and sponge could not be dented by the fork, so I gave it back straight away and got a croissant instead. My friend had already started eating her cake and it didn't look much fresher. She decided to eat it and not to make a fuss but we were unimpressed. The girl behind the counter munching away and putting fingers on food to be served was the top...

This was a nice surprise on a weekend visit to South Queensferry. It's a cosy little joint with relaxing coffee shop music in the background. We had their special of the day - lamb tagine which was excellent, served with artisan bread. Breakfast options looked great too but opted for lunch as we were heading towards the midday mark. Finished the lunch off with a perfectly served flat white. Staff is attentive, food and coffee was excellent + it has a nice feel to it. Highly recommended. It is a popular place so expect a little waiting time to get a table. Well worth it though.

The sign promising artisanal bread drew us in. There were a range of enticing, healthy looking salads and sandwiches in tempting artisanal breads. However, on a blue sky, but bitterly cold day, we opted for the tomato, lentil and paprika soup ( one of 2 soup specials). It didn’t disappoint. It had just the right amount of kick and was exactly what we needed. Our decaf and caffeinated flat whites were both good. Service was helpful and efficient. The decor has a slightly industrial feel and there was a good atmosphere. A great stop for lunch!

Lovely coffee- probably the best in the town. Only downside is there is a distinct lack of ventilation. I left on Saturday really smelling of someone else’s smokey lunch! Perhaps need to think about some more extractors or at least a window that can be opened. Shame as I really enjoyed my coffee.

I’m a pretty harsh critic and it’s not often I whack out a 5 blob review but I was really impressed. Great choice of interesting and tasty products - I got breakfast and coffee then bought lunch to take away. Service was great, friendly knowledgable and professional. The place is cosy and cool too. If I had to pick fault then I’d say a gluten free option would be good (as I wanted to take the missus something too) Very impressive.

Nice food but seems like everything is already made up so you can only choose from the display, my daughter and I thought it’s was really nice with lovely salads etc but for the others in our party who are plain eaters they couldn’t get anything to suit unfortunately so a little disappointing that it doesn’t cater for plainer tastes. Early afternoon but no soup left no plain scones don’t do plain sandwiches or toasties. Nice layout and decor and my daughter and I will return but sorry the others today weren’t impressed. Shame

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited the AMT Coffee Station at Haymaker Train Station, and I couldn't be more impressed! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making my afternoon coffee run a delight. They took the time to chat and ensure my order was just right. The coffee itself was absolutely delicious—rich and flavourful, just what I needed to kickstart my day. The atmosphere is cozy, making it a perfect spot to relax before catching a train. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area! You won't be disappointed.

Terrific traditional pub i the heart of South Queensferry. Great service , freindly atmosphere and very clean. We didn't eat but the menu looked great, serving traditional pub fare. We will definitely return and would highly recommend it if you are visiting the town.
