Delicious homemade scones, made every morning….still warm if I get there early enough! Good lunch choices too - sandwiches & panini made to order. Love the atmosphere of locals mixing with visitors, & there’s an outside seating area that’s sheltered & sometimes sunny😆 Very family & dog friendly with lovely staff… can’t beat it!

Friendly pub a few minutes walk from the Wallace monument. 2 wines for under £9 good value for Stirling. Lovely strong smell of bleach as we walked in .

Vera’s goes above and beyond. I’ve only been a few times before; but a few months ago, whilst making a solo visit to cheer myself up, one of the staff noticed that I was upset - she offered support and gave me the tea on the house. I was so touched by her kindness. Thank you to the lady with the glasses and the English accent!

Walked passed and thought it looked good…it didn’t disappoint. Great coffee and enjoyed different bagels, muffins and brownies. Would definitely go back.

Wouldn't normally say anything bad about a small business but after the way we were spoken to was ridiculous. We went to The Wee Wolf Bistro in Stirling for some lunch. Ordered bacon, brie and cranberry sandwich (they were out of chicken so me and mum couldn't have our original choice), scrambled egg on white toast and a bacon with egg roll. Mine came out a good 5 minutes before everyone else's... the other plates came no egg on the roll and scrambled egg had brown bread.. We told them it was wrong to be told there is no more white bread to which I said I would rather my daughter had the white than me and they should have told us, the staff members attitude was so dismissive and as if we were the inconvenience. They took the roll back for egg. I then picked up my toastie to see I have half white bread and half brown. The chef comes out to bring my wedges and tells me they look like that because they are baked not fried because its healthier..... I mean i appreciate that it's healthy but its no excuse for them being half cooked. She tell us they don't normally open today that's why they are out of so many things(can't see why that's a problem when your cafe is in the middle of Stirling), but in her words "my daughter needs to get used to eating healthier things." Absolutely disgusting way to speak to a customer who you have never met. Will 100% not be back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The Burgh is my go-to usual, and though it is a comfort, there are a few things amiss. Positive: - lovely, vibey atmosphere for friend catch-ups or study/ work - dog friendly (always a pleasure to see the doggos) - layout/ interior design is ideal, varied, and suits all - the staff are always delightful and welcoming, never too much or too little - the baked goods are very tasty - free wifi - dimmed/ warm lights, so doesn't induce headaches Negative: - sticky tables, they should really be deep cleaned and thereafter regularly wiped down with disinfectant - bathroom in desperate need of some cash thrown at it to update it (not hygenic for baby changing) - one of the owners tends to over charge, which is frustrating as a regular who knows the price of their coffee - lunch selections very minimal, which is fine, but at least offer some more vegetarian options - the coffee itself is usually burnt, which is surprisng since the burgh also owns Stirling Coffee next door Overall, I do like the Burgh and I wouldn't want to stop going. Some more financial focus is needed, attention to table and toilet hygeine, and proper coffee roasting is required.
