Legends Coffee House in Stirling

Estábamos en Bridge of Allan y las críticas para este lugar me parecieron buenas. Teníamos pasteles y bebidas calientes y ambos eran buenos. Lo que vimos de los almuerzos de la gente se veía bien. Probablemente el mayor problema como forastero son todos los sofás. Tuvimos la suerte de estar en una mesa. Aquellos que estaban en los sofás luchaban por comer alimentos, especialmente sopa... teniendo que inclinarse hacia las mesas. Por lo demás bien.

Mis amigos y yo somos visitantes regulares de esta hermosa cafetería bulliciosa con increíbles pasteles y bollos. También hacen que nuestros perros sean tan bienvenidos y a pesar de los comentarios de los críticos anteriores, hemos sido testigos de que si el personal acaricia o trata a los perros, inmediatamente van y desinfectan sus manos. Sin duda recomendaría a cualquier viajero o lugareño.

Súper personal, muy amable. Un montón de espacio para sentarse y disfrutar de nuestros pasteles y una encantadora selección de horneados frescos. El almuerzo parecía súper también y gran pastel para el dinero.

Tuvimos la sopa de hongos más increíble y conocimos a la encantadora Carrie que era tan amable y servicial. Así que es bueno tener un lugar muy agradable para perros para ir a almorzar, sin duda volveremos de nuevo.

La mejor visita aquí... aunque vivamos en Stirling. Esto era comida de 5 estrellas a precios de café. Magnífica, simple pero excepcional ejecución de los platos y golosinas ... volverá muy muy pronto como yhis será mi ir a comer fuera.

Este café nos lo recomendó un lugareño. Llevamos a mi madre allí un domingo y el aparcamiento fue concurrido, ya que es un punto turístico destacado para el monumento a Wallace. Afortunadamente obtuvimos un espacio. El café estaba lleno de gente y había una gran cola con un solo tipo sirviendo. Nos las arreglamos para alejar una mesa de la puerta, ya que se seguía abriendo, ya que había asientos afuera, pero hacía frío, especialmente porque mi madre tiene 92 años. Pedimos haggis vegetarianos y baguettes de queso que salieron bastante rápido ya que de repente apareció más personal como si hubieran estado en un descanso. Las baguettes eran agradables, pero el haggis estaba muy empapado, así que no es bueno. Tal vez una elección desafortunada. Las bebidas y el pastel estaban bien. Este es un café turístico muy ocupado y luchan por despejar las mesas después de los clientes para permitir que nuevas personas y, por lo tanto, puede parecer desordenado y no nos quedamos impresionados. Mi esposo y yo regresamos a visitar el monumento una semana después, un lunes. El café seguía lleno de gente, nadie podía usar las mesas exteriores como lluvia. Los mismos problemas observados con respecto a los platos sucios en las mesas usadas que deben abordarse. Tomamos café y un bollo de cereza encantador. Vi a la gente tomando sopa y un sándwich que se veía bien. Es un buen ambiente en la cafetería y en general el menú es agradable, sin embargo, luchan un poco para hacer frente al volumen de visitantes, que es comprensible, pero necesita abordarse.

Delicious homemade scones, made every morning….still warm if I get there early enough! Good lunch choices too - sandwiches & panini made to order. Love the atmosphere of locals mixing with visitors, & there’s an outside seating area that’s sheltered & sometimes sunny😆 Very family & dog friendly with lovely staff… can’t beat it!

I am a regular visitor to Legends Cafe. Lovely lunch, as always - the soups are delicious followed by fab selection of cakes. The apple and Cinnamon scones are not to be missed. Really friendly, welcoming staff to visitors of all ages and dogs v welcome at the outdoor tables too. Love the wee robin who keeps outdoor customers company. Cafe always clean, and food always fresh.

Do not go here if you have underlying health issues We always love going to this cafe but we will never return due to their ignorance of basic hygiene. We visited on the 3rd May and were enjoying bacon rolls and morning coffee. It was an unusually warm and sunny day and many people were using the patio area. A lady appeared at the patio door, with a small brown dog on a lead. Immediately, the counter staff approached her, and one after the other they fondly patted and stroked the dog, but shock, horror - they returned to the counter and continued to serve food. No hand washing or disinfection. For goodness sake, we have all suffered a pandemic when hygiene rules were severely tightened. What is it that this group of staff don't get? So, if this practice is going on front of house, what's going on backstage?

We’ve started going here on a regular basis for lunch, it gives us the opportunity to walk up to the Monument with our Yorkies, and on our return have a spot of lunch. The staff and service is great, and we appreciate them giving Skye & Tara the attention they crave as well.

After walking up to the Monument we got the free minibus back down and stopped in the cafe. Very engaged and helpful staff , and a nice touch was suggesting decaf tea for my grandchild. Fresh coffee , plenty food or snack choice for all ages. Nice seats , pleasant busy, atmosphere and clean and tidy - and very child friendly as the staff gave us a wee party pack .

Just popped into the cafe while my partner walks to the monument. While stood at the counter the lady brought out a tray of freshly baked scones which smelled and looked irresistible. I immediately ordered a scone to go with my coffee and is probably the freshest yummiest scone I’ve ever had. Staff very friendly and would recommend if you are in the area you must visit

I have been to this cafe many times - and I keep coming back every time I visit Stirling. The staff is warm and welcoming and the food is delicious! There is also a gift shop, and it is located near the Wallace Monument, so easy to to explore while there. Also close to the University of Stirling.

We had lunch here yesterday, Saturday, and it seems to be a busy place all day long or at least it was yesterday. It was busy when we got there and also busy when we left. They have a good variety of sandwiches and sweets. Sandwiches are all served with a sal and and their own coleslaw. My husband ordered a Bacon Brie and cranberry sandwich with a cinnamon cream cake (I’m not sure this is the correct name) and he liked it a lot. I ordered a Mozzarella, tomato and pesto sandwich and I loved it too. The side salad was good. The coleslaw was tasty, but too creamy in my opinion. This seems to be a constant around here as it has been the same in other restaurants. You can choose different types of bread as there are choices available. This was good to know and I had a seeded brown bread instead of the white one. It was delicious! The cinnamon and cream cake had a good taste, but it was super sweet! So much that my husband, who loves sweets, couldn’t eat it all. Other than that, food was great! As for the people working there, they are super nice and very willing to help and give you information (in case of food allergies or specific dietary restrictions). The place has an inside and outside area. Dogs are not allowed in the inside area, but they are welcome in the outside one. You don’t need to go to the monument to eat here as this is located at the start of the walk up the monument. Prices are reasonable. It’s a clean and cozy.

Living locally, we sometimes walk round Abbey Craig. Usually we finish with a hot drink and imagine we are tourists.On this occasion, feeling peckish, I had a white choc, apple and carmel scone. VG.

Was back here today after a bad experience last time with nasty cleaner and it did nots disappoints. staff lovely scones tasty coffee one of bests. Went to toilets very clean and tidy also such lovely smell inside toilets water taps so shiny I see my face in them. really loving the gifts in the shop so beautiful if I coulds give 100 stars ⭐️ I would after my visits now

Friendly and helpful staff. Good selection of gluten free cakes. And happy to make my latte just how I like it. Lovely to be able to sit outside but in the shade on a hot and sunny day in Scotland. Wish I lived locally and could come again.

Heading to Stirling from Glasgow but feel this place is worth the detour. Lovely Scotch Broth (nice to see someone offering something different from lentil) cheese and chutney toastie, tea and an Anericano coffee. Good choice of well prepared snacks and lovely display of tempting cakes. Staff superb, as always.

First visit to this super wee coffee shop. What a fantastic selection of homemade scones and cakes. Staff very friendly. Two teas and two cakes just over £10 so very good value. The cakes were absolutely delicious and it was nice to get something a wee bit different. Outside seating area with fab view of Wallace Monument and indoor dog friendly table too! Plenty of free parking so you can visit even if you are not going to the monument. Loyalty card available too - definitely worth a return visit and you could always go for a walk round the Abbey Craig while you are there!

A friend suggested we meet here - had been years ago when it had been a disappointing experience so never thought about going back but it has transformed Into a delightful cafe . Fabulous homemade food at very reasonable prices - soup was excellent and cake’s delicious. Staff v friendly , adding this cafe back into my list of Stirling cafes . It’s a 1.5 mile lovely walk from my house much through the beautiful Uni grounds , walk and coffee what’s not to like ?

I visited Legends almost every morning during our week in Stirling. The staff was so friendly and welcoming! I enjoyed starting my day with a cup of Americano, often accompanied with a pastry or scrambled eggs. Located at the base of the William Wallace monument, I would recommend Legends for breakfast or lunch.

Billed as not dog friendly but one table inside the building but outside the main cafe which we could use with our dog - who was then given loads of attention and biscuits by one of the waitresses. We just had coffee but the ambience - and the coffee - was so good I suggested to hubby we came back for lunch. We ended up going into town instead but I think you’d get a great lunch here. Also top tip as dogs aren’t allowed inside the monument, it’s still worth doing the walk up as there are loads of interesting carvings with stories about them.

2 people in my party are gluten free, was surprised at the gluten free options for a small cafe; there was a gf soup, sandwiches and cakes. Also what I liked was that kids meals were very reasonably priced at 2.50 for a hotdog, and I think the other kids meals were a similar price. The staff on duty were very nice.

After reading a bad review on here re cleaning staff being horrible I was very apprehensive as to coming in as I really don’t like bully’s but we visited yesterday myself, my husband, my dad and my small baby (in a pram) and honestly I could not fault the staff inside this place! I actually think we stayed way longer than we should have as staff were starting to clean up the tables but not once did we get asked to leave which shows these staff are very customer orientated. The coffee was so good (and I’m fussy with proper coffee) my husband said the atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming which is a pleasure to see as we are from England (my dad is Scottish) very spacious to move a pram around aswell which is a total bonus! While my husband was standing outside a lady and a small girl got out a small whit car with another older lady and they were entering the premises (I take them to be staff as they got let in) but each of them including the little girl all said hello to my husband which again speaks volumes) I would definitely return here. I will say this though don’t let negative comments and reviews put you off go with an open mind and you WONT regret it. We’ll be back in the summer 😁

Could not have asked for a better place for lunch after a walk up to the monument. Great vegan selection and dog friendly! Staff were just amazing - always happy to help and chat. Really good food and coffee too 👍

Popped in here before we went up to the monument. We had soup and cake, the soup was delicious, and was served with a generous portion of bread and butter. Pleasant staff and very clean. Would recommend.

We came for breakfast while camping in the Trossachs and before exploring the Wallace Monument. The service was outstanding, the food was excellent and the value for money probably the best we had in our trip to Scotland. Gorgeous rustic crockery too! Highly recommended!!

El signo común genérico habitual que dice le pregunta al personal si tiene una alergia, esperamos en la cola, mientras mi hija y mi hijo deciden con entusiasmo cuál de los pasteles en un estante de exhibición les gustaría. Absolutamente ninguna mención de maní en ninguno de los títulos de pasteles! después de esperar en la cola, le informamos a una joven que trabaja en el mostrador que mi hija tiene una alergia grave al maní, ¿puede ella elegir su pastel de manera segura? No lo siento. Suponiendo que sea un problema de contaminación cruzada de bajo riesgo y solicite más información para que ella pueda tener algo más. luego nos informa que varios de los pasteles contienen cacahuates y están en el mismo estante que los que no lo hacen (para aclarar que muchos de ellos son el tipo de horneados de bandejas comprimidos que se desmoronan) al lado de todos los otros tipos de pasteles. Yummy breakfast all day- good price! Get the caramel muffin, coffee was good, great stop before or after seeing the Wallace monument.

Elegimos focaccia con morcilla y cebolla roja, pannini con haggis y queso, un rollo especial con jamón y queso, todo servido con una pequeña ensalada y aderezo del día, que consistía en miel y mostaza en una jarra individual. Todos fueron muy buenos y una buena relación calidad-precio en 5. 99 cada uno. No hay pasteles como estábamos llenos pero se veían encantadores. La cafetería es luminosa y limpia y tiene mesas exteriores. La única crítica sería que a las 12. 30 se habían quedado sin dos tipos de pan y solo había una persona detrás de la caja que recibía los pedidos, sin embargo, no teníamos mucho que esperar por nuestra comida. Visited Wallace monument and after our walk popped in for coffee and cake. Lovely friendly staff, great coffee and cake lovely and clean and comfy seats what more could you ask for.

After visiting the Wallace monument we enjoyed an excellent lunch here and warmed up in the cosy atmosphere. The food was very tasty and delivered promptly. The staff were friendly and helpful and the surroundings lovely. Great coffee and cakes to finish off too.

arrived mid afternoon. good choice of items on the menu. ordered soup, it was at best tepid in temperature, we had waited a bit of time and didnt have the time to be able to ask for it to be sorted. was still tasty, came with a wedge of bread! would visit again.

legends coffee shop is situated at the bottom of the Wallace Monument near Stirling and I can guarantee if you climb to the top of the monument by foot on your return its a well-needed stop for a drink and some food.

We stopped here after touring the Wallace Monument just up the hill. Enjoyed their delicious lattes and cakes while sitting at a table outside on a perfect sunny Scotland day. What a great finish to a wonderful afternoon in Stirling.

Nach dem Besuch des Wallace Monuments haben wir in diesem Cafe am Fusse des Monuments noch kurz haltgemacht. Das Cafe ist sauber und ansprechend eingerichtet, die Bedienung (Selbst-Service) ist nett und die Getränke heiss und gut. Wir würden hier wieder einen Kurzstopp machen.

We stumbled across this wee cafe by mistake. It’s just down the hill from the Wallace Monument and the setting is just incredible.

Visit to Wallace Monument is a bit tiring experience. You climb the hill and then at the Monument, you get dizzy with the fiercely blowing wind, so when you finish the visit, you really need a break and this lovely coffee house offers exactly that.

Called in after climbing the Monument for a quick lunch,everything is laid out so well, delicious cakes and sandwiches, good home made soup, but the BEST thing is the staff especially Debbie who went way beyond expectations, thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, can't wait to return, this made our experience really special, THANK YOU DEBBIE you are a star xxx

The cafe is ideally located for a rest stop after visiting the National Wallace Monument. We found it clean and spacious, with seating indoors and out, and comfy couches to relax in. While we only stopped in for tea and cake, there appeared to be lots of choice on the menu.

Hoy no, decepcionados por mala elección sandwich muy lento y servicio antipático, no estoy acostumbrado a ser tratado como si estoy emplear porque pregunté si no contactless. Tenía mi recibo contra mí con ninguna palabra de agradecimiento. No busque a alguien para quejarse pero no parece haber nadie a cargo.

After you have climbed the Wallace Monument you need to visit this cafe and indulge in the cakes and tea or a light lunch: fresh,home baked and delicious.

Non male la zuppa del giorno ai funghi. Hanno, al solito, le cose da caffetteria, ma anche panini e cose salate. Non hanno birra. Prezzo contenuto nella media. Comodo se si vuol mangiare vicino alla torre senza dover andare in centro, abbastanza distante.

After the long walk to and from the monument (and all the stairs), this place is really a blessing! Good coffee and some good cakes available.

Visité hoy para el almuerzo y desayuno durante todo el día con mi familia después de subir al Monumento a Wallace. Quería pedir una sandwichera para mí, pero no tenían pan sin gluten. Me ofrecieron una sopa o un muffin de chocolate (de un paquete) que no me apetecía. Me sorprendió bastante ya que comer fuera regularmente y estoy acostumbrado a tener más opciones de este. Sin duda no es fácil mantener un suficiente pan sin gluten gratis en el congelador para atender a la gente en una dieta restringida?

como hacía mucho frio, antes de tomar nuevamente el tren a Glasgow, nos metimos en el cafe/restaurant que forma parte del complejo del Monumento, con tienda de Recuerdos aledaña...un par de hambueguesas y papas fritas, una buena ensalada, en un lugar acogedor con buen precio

Excellent food, friendly staff. Not cheap but worth what we paid (we paid £30 for 4 meals). Would definitely visit again even if we didn't do the monument.

We enjoyed a lovely cup of coffee and shortbread after visiting the monument. Reasonably priced and clean. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

We didn't expect much from the cafe at a tourist sight, but Legends Coffee House serves the best Trossachs meat pies.

Decided to eat here after visiting the memorial. The food was excellent quality and at a very good price. It's nice to see that they use local produce.

Decidimos parar en el Legends Coffee House para comer algo después de visitar el monumento. Ambos teníamos los Trossachs bistec con puré de frijoles y pieza y estaba delicioso. Gran hojaldres y trozos de carne tierna sabrosa. Seguido esto con un pedazo de chocolate excelente.
