Vera’s goes above and beyond. I’ve only been a few times before; but a few months ago, whilst making a solo visit to cheer myself up, one of the staff noticed that I was upset - she offered support and gave me the tea on the house. I was so touched by her kindness. Thank you to the lady with the glasses and the English accent!

Lovely warm Scottish welcome. ‘The Big Yin’ was spot on and the homemade gifts were beautiful. Great vibe to this place.

Prezzi corretti.

I have visited Vera twice recently and been very impressed by the food and the service. However this time I was impressed by neither. I ordered a Big Yin breakfast and the food was great and the breakfast components were of a great quality. Unfortunately the eggs were over cooked and the portion of toast was, tiny. My partner ordered eggs on toast with a,portion of avocado and bacon. When this came the bread was not toasted at all and it took 20mins to bring a replacement. The waiting staff asked if we wanted another coffee as we were having along wait. I thought that this would have been complimentary due to the wait so it was most disappointing to be charged for this. Another coffee would not have been needed if the order was fulfilled correctly. Such a shame that after a couple of good visits the standards have really dropped.

We stopped in for a tea and coffee break while sightseeing - not realizing it was only fifteen minutes from closing. The staff were very accommodating and did not rush us at all. We had the shortbread and it was to die for. Would definitely return because everything looked delicious.

Delicious breakfast! My daughter is gluten free and we are both vegetarian. We had so many options! Savory pancakes were very good. We got cookies to go which were also delicious, but all of the baked goods looked amazing. Lovely cafe, warm atmosphere, friendly service.

Had a really nice lunch here, it’s got a lovely feel to it inside, relaxed and happy. There was plenty of choice on the menu, we had pulled pork fries and burgers. The coffees were spot on and we all enjoyed our food. Staff were friendly and our meals arrived quickly even though they were very busy. I like to support independents like this instead of the big chains and Vera’s was a little gem.

Fantastic lunch spot in Stirling! I had a delicious salad with roasted veggies, which came with two “extra” toppings - I went with ham and avocado, and the avo portion was super generous! Husband loved the chorizo hash. Love that they serve breakfast/brunch all day. Also very gluten free friendly - gave me GF bread with my salad, and had quite the selection of gluten free pastries. I went with the Caramel Apple Tart, which was ah-mazing!

We popped in for lunch, had never been. I had a super salad with avocado and beans as I am allergic to dairy and eggs but also vegetarian. It was a great size portion, beautiful sourdough bread with it and no skimping on the avocado as you often see, lovely fresh dressing. There were a few options for me rather than just 1 or 2 things I could have. My husband had the croquettes and said they were amazing. Friendly staff and lovely bright space with art on the walls and lots of space between tables. Wasn't the cheapest at £22 for 2 meals and 1 bottle of water but 100% quality food and totally worth every penny. Will definitely be back.

Bought a sourdough loaf and a fruit scone. Break had a huge air hole running through the bread and the fruit scone only had a few sultans on the outside and not 1 inside. V v disappointed since the products although freshly baked are quite expensive

Gracias

We popped in here for lunch while passing for the first time and were glad we did. The service was good, very quick and efficient, staff were very friendly. There is a good selection on the menu and even a dog menu, which our dogs loved! The soup was delicious and toasties were tasty but a little burnt around the sides so we couldn't even bite into some of them. They have no disabled parking which is disappointing. We will definitely pop in again if passing!
