Lovely relaxing location with views over Belfast Lough, very close to Belfast but a world away. Conor & Bernie were excellent hosts. The tasting menu with matching wines was fantastic, particularly the carrot soup with coconut and sweet chilli prawns, the scallops with crispy leeks and the fillet steak was amazing. Nice touch to have complimentary port in the bedroom. Breakfast was also delicious.

Fantastic cafe, very friendly staff. We spent a couple days in Bangor and we visited this excellent place for breakfast. Lovely coffee along with croissants with ham and cheese fillings and raspberry scones. The staff are really friendly and accommodating. Thank you for great morning hospitality that started our days.

What can I say about this place? It’s hard to find a reason to visit the big city of Bangor and in-fact I used to find reasons not to visit but this Bar has changed all that and I now welcome the pilgrimage up to Costa Del Bangor like many Belfast inhabitants enjoyed before me in the heady summer days of the 60’s. Ginge’s is the perfect infusion of Aladdins Cave and Willy Wonkas chocolate factory and will have you going down a rabbit hole Alice herself would have marvelled at. A place where amazement and wonder are around every corner due to the atmosphere casually swinging from one of being on a special ops mission behind enemy lines with a crack team of Bangor veterans trying to compete a poker hand to one of casually chilling in front of an open fire with live music resembling days gone by whilst having craic and prime ministers questions with clientele you simply wouldn’t come across in your normal everyday life. From Olympians, musicians, tech savvy professionals and Dothraki bloodriders, Ginges has it all under one roof. Add to this an owner bringing in guest chefs to cook up bbq fare fitting of its surroundings and you found a niche in the hospitality sector. Ham hocks, lamb legs, sides of beef and multiple corn snacks are laid down in a feast fitting of a banqueting table of the tudors themselves. A unique experience indeed and one not to be passed up

This was the perfect spot for an epic filled soda and great traybakes. The prices were so reasonable for the great portion sizes and food too. The staff were so sweet and it had such a lovely atmosphere as a happy place!

If Carlsberg did intimate and atmospheric burger nights........this would be the place , proving that local rather than global is best

We had dinner at this restaurant twice during our stay at the Premier Inn hotel. The waiters were very friendly and the food was great. The kids menu was a good offer, because with 8€ a kid has 2 dishes (starter+main or main+dessert), a drink and 2 sides to choose. For adults, there is the possibility of a Meal Deal, which has a good price including 2 dishes and a drink. If we ever stay at this hotel again, we will return to this restaurant.

Having been let down on a family booking at another restaurant in Belfast we searched the reviews for a chance to still be able to get a table of seven to celebrate my mother in law’s 82nd birthday- thankfully the Guys at coast were able to jig a few tables around & get us in at 7:30pm - peak time for a restaurant on a Saturday night- all I can say is they were magnificent, food was excellent across all courses- I’m not a vegetarian, but opted for the vegetarian tartlet, absolutely delicious, scampi that was my Mum in laws go to meal most times was great (beer battered & freshly fried to a crispy offering) - I must pass on my sincere thanks to all the staff who helped make the night a success - we will be back, that’s a certainty- Thanks again

Food is wonderful as always The loyalty card is misleading though, it clearly states on the card that if you buy ANY 8 sandwiches, the next one is FREE I was given a £6.75 discount off my £8+ Sandwich when I had a fully stamped card, hence it being clearly not for free. Don't mislead your customers, not a good business practice

I enjoyed a wonderful meal in Coq and Bull in January. I was out for an overdue catch-up with a friend and this restaurant was the perfect place to have it. From the outset, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a relaxing evening. My friend had mentioned on the booking form that I have a garlic intolerance, and I was most impressed when a member of the waiting staff came over with an amended menu for me. He took the time to go through the many options that were still available to me and explained, moreover, that the chef could make alternative sauces for specific dishes. We enjoyed two delicious - and generous! - bread boards to start, followed by the ham hock and burger, respectively, and finished with the irish cream liqueur tiramisu. The staff were attentive and friendly, and did not hurry us to leave when we had finished eating but, rather, allowed us to linger over our last drinks and finish our catch-up, which we really appreciated. I had such a fabulous meal that I have decided to book to go back for my wedding anniversary in February.
